Installs Windows OEM

I bought a large number of laptops Dell and HP without OS installed.

Every laptop and desktop computer has the OEM for Windows license sticker. I understand that I can only install the version of Windows on the sticker but have the following questions and would be grateful for a response:

  1. An OEM Windows CD/DVD version allows you to reinstall the operating system using the OEM key on the sticker?
  2. Can I use the same OEM CD/DVD Windows installation or I have to buy a new drive by machine?

Any help much appreciated.

Thank you

A friend has a Dell laptop, tried to install Windows 7 one in the process destroyed the Vista recovery partition. He had no media recovery, out of warranty, but only 2 years.

My Vista SP2 DVD of detail to do the installation, choose the version of Vista, which at one point was preinstalled (Vista Home Premium 32 - Bit), do not enter the product key. Finished installing the updated drivers.

Then I changed the product key using its OEM key and activated.

Then, I installed updates "Significant" of Vista manually (in 4 separate passes, with the .net framework and IE8 being the last two passes).

Note: If you want to play it safe, before and after activating and installing the updates, create an image of backups as a reference point.

Windows 7 OEM on two computers

Hi, I recently built a computer and I bought a copy of windows 7 64 bit OEM OEM. I use it of course on the new computer, but I have a desktop HP with Windows 7 64 bit OEM on it too, I need to reinstall windows on the HP and I was wondering if I could use the HP OEM code, but the drive I bought for the other computer to reinstall. Thank you.

If the drive OEM from Microsoft is the same version as the key product you already have - Yes, you can use the other installation disk to reinstall Windows (example: the drive and the key must be Windows 7 Home Premium).

Note 1: You can only use the OEM key on a single computer, OEM can not be moved to another computer. You must use the key to your HP computer on this computer.

Note 2: You cannot use an OEM recovery disk that came with another computer to reinstall Windows - OEM recovery disks are only valid with the computer, with which he came.

Case of failure of the online activation:

Call Microsoft use the manual phone Activation

Note: If you always install Windows page enter your product key, do not enter your key and uncheck the "Automatically activate when online" then click OK/next to complete the installation.

    1. start by clicking on the start menu, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. press enter on your keyboard

    3. Select your country.

4 Select the telephone activation option, enter the number, do not select all options and wait for a person pick up, then explain what happened.

HP also has several options to reinstall Windows on their computer:

When restore you to factory State, it will be like it was when you bought first - all preinstalled programs will be installed. Everything you have installed after purchase needs to be reinstalled. This removes all the personal files on the computer, save them first.

I should mention that previously, I installed OEM cloud control 12 c release 2 on a 64-bit Windows and used the DB I'm trying to use for the current installation as reference. In fact, for some reason, I stopped the previous Windows OEM and try to install a new Linux version and I want to use the same PB. What is the reason for the error? What should I do to fix this? What happened to create a new DB schema?

    Will do

You use the same database to accommodate the SGD 12.1.0.2 on 12.1.0.2 on linux and win?

If you use DB even they make sure that there is no trace to sysman schema until you use to install another MS 12.1.0.1x

    Hi nyyankee53

You can check if the antivirus or other security software raises questions. I would say to you temporarily disable the security software installed and check if the problem is resolved.

If you disable any security software for troubleshooting temporarily, so don't forget to activate after troubleshooting is completed that your computer will be at risk.

  • Windows OEM vs retail license

Please tell me the differences between windows OEM and RETAIL windows licenses. I put my computer to level, which currently has a copy of windows vista OEM. I change the hard drive, motherboard, cpu and ram. As I understand it, I won't be able to keep my operating system.

I intend to be updating my motherboard against soon to buy the new processors coming out next year. If I buy a copy of windows retail I'll be able to upgrade my computer as much as I want, or I'm stuck buying a new copy whenever I want to improve?

License OEM Windows is connected to the system is installed-if something happens that system and that it doesn't work anymore, the channels of license with the system.  In general, a replacement of the motherboard is considered as an event "death of license".

A copy the retail license allows to move the Windows software to computer 'nine', which would be considered a computer with a newer motherboard. A retail license is what you want.  Not an upgrade because the upgrade rights would die with the OEM copy but a complete copy.

I bought last week at 5.2.  Downloaded from the page of my Mac purchase.  Click on my downloads, open and the installation window popped up.  I clicked on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5. pkg and opened the window of installation process and I went through the Setup screens.  He said that the download was successful.  So, where is the program?  Whenever I click on the Lr icon, it opens the window of installation even with the .pkg and the ReadMe.pdf 5 of Lightroom.  At this point, I went through the installation of two or three times thinking that something different is going to happen (silly).  I have not been able to cross to install.  I feel extremely stupid but can't seem to understand.Screen Shot 2013-09-23 at 6.59.55 PM.jpg
