Instances in the map (noob question)

Every afternoon.

I added about 50 instances of class to a card and im able to reference then and find the names etc, but I'm not able to use the object that represents a key.

IM able to perform a loop on each object, but I then want to be able to access a method of this instance, IE.

Object metricBoxInstance (Object) = m.getKey ();

I then want to use metricBoxInstance.setText ("example");

I know that it will be simple but its my first time using the map.

any help appreciated and details available if necessary.

  • Two questions on MapField (GPS permissions) and the map display

    Hello world

I have two questions about the use of the Mapfield (for OS 5.0):

First of all, it is possible to invoke the Permission of GPS is fast at the start of the application rather than the first time, you open the card and use the GPS?

Second, I use a MapField in my application, and the map that appears on the device is only to show a green background with diagonal black lines and circles white - as if there were no card information to show. I tried to load many different places, and I get the same result. On the Simulator, I get the most actual plan information.  Does anyone know why this might be happening?

    Thank you!

    regarding your first question:

use an applicationpermissionsrequest for that object.

  • Noob question: Playbooks all have the same performance?

I know... noob question. I am to complete my first game PlayBook and before I submit the app store I wanted to make sure that hardware performance will be the same on all the playbook or will it be something because of the performance issues on a per-device basis? I hope that this will be similar to a console where you can expect stable performance. THX.

All devices (currently) work the same in the same conditions.

That does not mean, however, that you can treat it as a console.  A console runs only a game and nothing else (in general).

The PlayBook can run multiple applications, and among other things, a user can 'Behavior of the Application' setting configuration Mode Showcase, default, or standby, what determines if your application runs or stops when it is idle.  If they are in window mode, they may have other things at the same time.

To a first approximation, however, "even in the world" is probably correct, for now.  Don't forget there will be different tablets in the future, with specification different but compatible with your app... not quite like a console there where many games is basically orphaned (or requires a port) when a new generation comes out.

  • Mapping between the instance in the metric system and VirtualDevice

    Hello

does anyone know how to map the attribute instance in PerfMetricId to VirtualDevice?

I need to call QueryPerf to virtual disk on a virtual computer. I don't know what to fill attribute instance in PerfMetricId I fill PerfQuerySpec. I tried to put there name of virtual disk file, but it does not return anything.

Enumeration of the available metrics show instances to disk as counters: t10. ATA___WDC_WD1600HLFS2D75G6U0___WD2DWXL908009625

[but the file name, which resembles some id is: \[templates-datastore] test/test.vmdk

Where can I get the instance for the virtual disk id or how QueryPerf process instance attribute?

    Thank you

    Tomas

    Tomas,

When you go through the collection of virtual devices virtual machine and identify this device as a virtual disk, you can collect its property of type VirtualDeviceFileBackingInfo that points to a data store.

The data store contains information about volumes, it is the property of type HostVmfsVolumeInfo in the case of VMFS and that points to a partition name.

    VirtualDisk-> FileBackingInfo-> Datastore-> VolumeInfo-> the name of the partition.

The name of the partition + number-> the name of the partition - > VirtualDisk: = number.

The name of the partition that you receive, as well as the number of unique performance metrics identifies the virtual disk. I look like a "slice" of the data of an entire partition belongs to a particular virtual disk.

For another virtual machine, you can receive the same pair (partition name + number) but it would be another virtual disk, the disk that belongs to this virtual machine.

I wish I could share something more simple and of course, I can't guarantee that it will adapt to your particular situation. Yes, the code to deal with is not primitive.

BTW, there is no reliable way to generate a unique key for a virtual disk or other virtual device. I use a combination of name, partition and device index data store (looks like "my store 1 - vmhba33:2:31 - 2000"). And repopulate the associated internal structures when I detect changes in the indexes of virtual device.

Okay, I better stop now before I get carried away and start editing my business 'know-how' ;-).

    See you soon,.

  • Lightroom 5.7.1. under windows 7. Question: How to print the map with the locations photos as said on the map (google) in Lightroom?

I would like to print high resolution map and locations as disadvantaged on the plan using Lightroom.

There is no print of the map feature in Lightroom.

The best you could do is make a screenshot with some third-party utilities or the built-in operating system screenshot and print that.

  • The AIA question: COM and SOM are in different instances of the OSM

    Hi all!

I tried to install control components to enable it in my local environment.

When I set up "OracleComms_OSM_O2A_COMSOM_TypicalSolution" in the same server, the order of implementation of the SOM was created successfully.

But during the installation of control components to enable it in the step "Setup of WebLogic Server resources", I decided to use the typical topology, deployment, central order (COM) management and management service (SMO) order in different instances of the OSM.

After configure WebLogic Server Components in both machines (COM - SOM) I have been "OracleComms_OSM_O2A_COM_TypicalSolution" in my local computer and 'OracleComms_OSM_O2A_SOM_Solution' in the other machine. But when I'm in the tests of time that COM order cannot create the order of implementation of the SOM in the other machine.

I need to configure to be available to create orders of Provisioning SOM in a different machine according to the proposed model?

    Best regards

    AndresG

    Hi Andres,

Please check two things if you did that you have two separate instances

    (1) in the ProvisioningSITask, please check if 'WebServiceCreateProvisioningOrderQueue' has any published without any error message.

    (2) If a 1 is Yes, then please check if you have created a JMS bridging between the two instances of the OSM. As the COM message should sink to SOM per JMS Bridging.

    Thank you

  • How to call a second instance of the same VI?

    Hello

I have a useful VI dealing with IO operations. To save some time, of what I would call the VI as a second instance do work at the same time. I created a sequence sub with the run option 'Use the new thread' and I called the Vi (a step of the sequence only). Execution time of the VI is about 20 seconds run Durin I called the subsequence and I carried on running my main sequence (parent). Since then 10 seconds to launch the subsequence (in the thread of sepatate I called the same VI as in the thought of subsequence the second instance will be created. However, instead of parallel work of the two instances of the same VI had to wait when mt subsequence end known call the VI th.

So my question is, as in the topic: how to call a second instance of the VI even at the "same time"?

Could you please tell me about the best approach to solve the problem?

Any VI that you want to run in parallel must be paid also re-entrant, including screws.

  • Synchronization of the AI channels on the map of PCIe6351?

    Hello world

I have a small question; If all goes well a easy answer...

I receive multiple signals of AI of the map above... When these signals sampling of I, it is necessary to include a "trigger" in the DAQmx code necessary for data synchronization, or puts the clock source sample on sufficient the "PCIe6351/AI/sample" clock?

    Thank you

    Jack

The on-board clock is part of the data acquisition board. The on-board clock is the master clock.

The help of LabVIEW has many details (like DAQmx help) on different clocks. For LabVIEW, go to content > taking action > NI - DAQmx Key Concepts > triggering and synchronization.

  • The directory of the user on the mapped network drive

I want to move my user directory C:\Users\Edwin to a mapped network drive E: (i.e. mapped from a network share \\\\192.168.22.9\share ).

The difficult part is to move the directory of the user himself. I found 2 possible solutions, which are not applicable for me due to my use of a network drive.

    1. Move C:\Users\Edwin" to "E:\Users\Edwin , and then use a symbolic link of junction ( mklink -J ) to post a link to C:\Users\Edwin .

This does not work for me because I can't create a symbolic link to a directory on a non-local drive junction.

    2. Changing the value of registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\ProfilesDirectory of %SystemDrive%\Users to E:\Users before you create the user "Edwin".

Later, when the "Edwin" user first connects, the profile will be in E:\Users\Edwin .

The problem is that I met a problem of the egg and the hen.

When you first login as a user 'Edwin' profile will be created in E: . However, at the moment I first login, the mapped network drive E: is not there.

I tried without success to the following:

    1. Create a drive mapped persistent administrator. Did not work. The mapped drive is only visible to the administrator user.

    2. Create a mapped drive persistent using the rights system (using PsExec -s ). Did not work. The mapped drive is not 'owned' by anyone, not even the current administrator user.

    3. Create a drive mapped persistent by using the user newly created by Edwin, without opening a session as Edwin again (using the PsExec once again). Did not work. It is possible to create a mapped drive under a different name, once I tried to do it with persistence ( /persistent:yes ), I get a Access is Denied error.

No idea how this can be done? Or is it it even can be done at all?

  • What is the best way to run multiple instances of the class containing infinite while loop?

    Hello

I have a several instances of the class (say a, b, c,...) that have the same parent and I want to run the same methods overridden to all instances in parallel.

    For example:

    a.init ()-> a.run ()-> a.stop ()-> a.run ()-> a.stop ()->

    b.init ()-> b.run ()-> b.stop ()->->->

    c.init() ->           ->             -> c.run() ->               -> c.stop()

    ...

See the attachment for more details.

    The problems are now:

    1. the 'run' - method does not return until it receives the external trigger

    2. everything to run methods return in a different time

1 chip means I can't use autoindexed for loop because in this case b.run () will have to wait before the end of a.run (), right? Is it possible to run to the loop in parallel?

2 chip means that an object must be able to run and stop independently from others.

What is the most elegant solution? The solution copy - paste in the attachment works for 3 instances, but there are currently 10 and more is coming.

    Juha

In fact, what I wanted to know was "how to add the 'P' loop '... Easy, after you ask the right question.

In the attachment, there is a test.vi that has two numerical indicators in a certain time-infinite loops. If I leave the parallelism, the two digital are incremented infinitely. If I don't allow parallelism, only the first is incremented (he never leaves the infinite while loop).

To solve my original problem, I can make an init-start-stop branch within a loop-parallel-indexing for and make sure that there are the same number of instances of loop as there are objects in my array of objects (object array is an autoindexed in the loop for).

Also good point about the vis environment. I should also add that.

  • The mapped drives disappear after logoff or restart.

I can not get a mapped drive to stay mapped after a logoff in Windows 7.  If I map the drive by right clicking post work or the command prompt (net use f: \\sharename / persistent: Yes), once the user disconnects or restarts, the players disappear.

This occurs only for Windows 7 users.  We have no problem with users under XP.  Someone has an idea?  I tried to connect with different user names, disabling firewall of 3rd party client, disable UAC, etc..

    Hi CSholmire,

Please let us know your concern.

I suggest you the methods below. Try these and find the question after each method:

    Method 1:

    1. Open a command prompt as the user that readers are not remembered. Do not use the option "Run as Administrator". In this case, we are unwilling to do this. At the command prompt, type: net use
    2. Does say something like this: use C:\>net. New connections will not remember.
    3. If it is said that they "don't remember", then you need to change this. Type: use net p:yes

That change the setting of the system for the user to perform the workouts be remembered all the time and the will is the default action.

If the above is not the case, then map the drive through the command prompt and see if the mapping is known.

    NET use p:yes

    NET use r: \\servername\sharename

You can change the drive letter a: above to any letter free as you like. However, remember that if you use a letter that is too close to the beginning of the alphabet you can overlap with the USB devices and then one or the other will be absent. You can replace the r: with * and it will start with the next free drive letter starting at the bottom of the alphabet. This should make the reader remember through log and restart.

    Method 2:

The long-term solution is a registry editing that would get the mapped drives visible to standard and administrative sessions.

    1. Press Windows + R and type: regedit
    2. In Regedit, navigate to HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft / / Windows //Current Version / / policies / / system.
    3. Create a new REG_DWORD entry named "EnableLinkedConnections".
    4. Set the value to 1.
    5. Restart after you add the registry entry and the programs will be able to see the drives mapped forever.

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tells you how to change the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Noob question: autonomous AIR .bar files?

Sorry for the noob question, yet to learn these things from the air. When we create a .bar file, it is the only file position, does it include the runtime air, flash, etc, etc, or is it always require an accumulation of air / flash runtimes on the device? THX.

The .bar file does not include the time of execution because the runtime is already preinstalled on the Playbook.

Air is really integrated into the PlayBook so you don see the difference between a native app or an Air application.

If you try to insert two cards at the same time that would be normal given that the card reader is bound to a single channel of USB. It all depends on how your computer has been configured when it was built.

If you remove the first card and insert another card it is possible that you are not just right-click on the map in file Explorer and ejecting the card before you remove them.
