Instances of database mirroring Lync

Hi team,

I have install server Lync 2013.

I need help to find instances of MSSQL$ LYNCLOCAL: DatabaseMirroring in performance monitor. It doesn't show any for me. How can I obtain instances of this class?

Thank you

    Does anyone else make false positives on 'DBSS' rule - not available for mirrored databases?

    Once every week or two I get a fatal alert "Not available" for the 'DBSS' rule - not available on all databases mirrored to my server.  It takes only a few minutes in Foglight, then goes back to a normal state.

    I looked at the newspaper database monitoring for the mirror and the principle, all SQL server and Agent logs, all the server event logs... nothing.  The history of all mirrored databases have no signs of availability according to the real itself SQL Server issues.

    The only reference to this rule Foglight is:

    https://support.quest.com/search/SolutionDetail.aspx?ID=SOL76183

    Go through the article, I looked at the data stored in the "DB" State for the affected databases, it says "Not available" for the times, that the alert has developed.  However, I can't find anywhere on the current SQL Server where this error can come.

    I have not particualrly want to go rushing to false positives fatal alert indicating that my mirror is not available

    Any thoughts on what I might try?  Everyone knows about this problem?

    Or is this just a blip?

  • Oracle database mirroring

    Hi all need help on this...

    Suppose I have a database 11g R2 installed on a server, and we did mirror database on ServerB.

    Wanted to know if the database mirroring on server B have always all objects the server A. Say we use all SVC for mirroring.

    Thank you

    I'm not sure what you mean by "block mirror."

    There are several ways to mirror or replicate the data.  Oracle DataGuard is a way.  Each storage provider has a different implementation of storage-based cloning.  The OS vendors or those with volumes of multi-stockage managers might have their own way of mirror or replicate the data.

    In general, a physical replica of the database contains all the objects that are in the database because the objects data (storage space, users, schemas, tables, stored packages etc.) are all "logic."   However, if your mirror / replication implementation ensures that you have a uniform and (non-corrupt) database can be used really depends on how you understand and implement the method / tools you use.

  • Model certified followed for Instances of database?

    I'll implement models on OEM 12.1.0.3 monitoring for guests, agents, instances of database etc by copying and modifying Oracle certified models, using "create as ' then apply to my goals.  There are models certified for guests and agents, but I don't see one for database Instances.  Is there a models certified for database Instances (such as the metric of tablespace used %, share pool % cached, alert etc.)?

    Another way to create a template with parameters is out-of-box metric collection for database instances:

    -Access the company > surveillance > surveillance models.

    -Click on create.

    -Select copy control settings using: target Type

    -Select:

    -Target the Type category: databases

    -Target Type: Instance of database

    -Click on continue to continue to create the model.

  • Instance and database software on different computers

    Hello
    I would like to ask, could I install database (with dbca) instance and database on different computers software? How could I log instance and database software in different places?

    Thanks awfully for help.
    Concerning

    Yes,

    Machines 1 - install the software of database here.

    Linux: Install the DB files on NFS mounted directory
    Machine 2 - use for NFS export / share directory to another UNIX / Linux computer
    Easy to install - http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-export-directory-with-nfs4/

    Windows: Install the DB files on the shared drive mapped.
    Machine 2 - Share the directory and map it on the Machine 1.

    Hello buddy,

    Yes, is possible to create a single instance database in a CCR environment, there is an option in DBCA.

  • Difference between database mirroring and cloning?

    Hello

    Can someone tell me precisely the difference between the Mirrorring database and cloning?

    Is the database mirroring and multiplexing Similarly?

    Thank you
    Rajesh

    Rajesh, yes even if, as stressed, Oracle does not use the term of mirroring from the database.

    I did a search on the term: mirroring, using 11g manuals and got 329 hits and after scanning several pages of them all the entries appear to be associated with the mirroring of the files. In ASM you groups mirror and you strip mirror all (MCSS) and so on.

    The product of Oracle Data Guard is how Oracle 'mirrors' a database. As noted Oracle does not use the term, but I think that your use is compatible with the term as defined in the dictionary of COMPUTING.

    A related term danger which might be of interest is REPLICATION. Oracle has built-in features to replicate data from one object to another, potentially on a remote database.

  • Doubt on single server multiple vs single-server instances several databases

    Hello

    Here is my banner for oracle:

    Oracle banner:

    Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production

    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

    "CORE 11.2.0.1.0 Production."

    When you use the dbca command, it creates a new database. So is it possible to have multiple databases at the same time running on the same server?

    I tried this option where I had created 2 databases A and B both running.

    He kept to launch ' ORA-12520: TNS:listener could not find a Manager is available for the type of requested server "intermittently. I have not found any useful document to solve this because of which I ended up recreate all objects in database B to the database A. Data Base A therefore has its own schemas and schemas from database B.

    Below are examples of files tnsnames.ora and listener.ora, sqlnet.ora trying this option:

    sample tnsnames.ora file.

    A =.

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = abc.com) (PORT = 1521))

    (CONNECT_DATA =

    (SERVER = DEDICATED)

    (SERVICE_NAME = A)

    )

    )

    B =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = abc.com) (PORT = 1521))

    (CONNECT_DATA =

    (SERVER = DEDICATED)

    (SERVICE_NAME = B)

    )

    )

    Listener.ora, example:

    LISTENER =

    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = abc.com) (PORT = 1521))

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = CIP)(KEY = EXTPROC1521))

    )

    )

    ADR_BASE_LISTENER = C:\OracleDatabase

    SQL Net.ora:

    NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT)

    ADR_BASE = C:\OracleDatabase

    Lsnrctl status showed services for each database.

    All the world is facing this problem? Can we have multiple databases on a server with a listener running on the same computer? So my Tnsnames.ora file would have 2 strings of connections and file listener with an entry of the listener.

    Can you please share your tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files?

    Also, how to create a single database with multiple instances on the same server? Please tell me about the document that contains an example of this.

    Yes, you can have several databases (running different ORACLE_SIDs) the ORACLE_HOME even on a single server.

    I suspect that the ORA-12520 error was the result of certain constraints of resources (cpu, memory or i/o) resulting in the inability to create a new database session.

    Hello

    How to create an Oracle AWR and ADDM report for a multiple instance (RAC) Oracle database 11 g 2?

    Concerning

    Hello

    Oracle DB 11 g 2 AWR Global report before 11 GR 2, the awrrpt.sql generation

    under $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin only generates the report awr for the local instance.

    You will need to collect for each RAC instance awr report.

    11 GR 2, there are two new scripts awrgrpt.sql AND awrgdrpt.sql for CARS

    awrgrpt. SQL - AWR Global report (RAC) (global report)

    Hello

    I'm new in Hyperic totatly and I implement Hyperic here in our society.
    When you create the DB instance, monitoring occurs in the last command, to provide the right of access:

    --------------
    MySQL > create user 'hqadmin'@'localhost' identified by 'nt2000xp ';
    Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.02 sec)

    MySQL > create database HQ;
    Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)

    MySQL > grant all HQ.* 'hqadmin'@'localhost ';
    ERROR 1064 (42000): you have an error in your syntax SQL; Check the manual thatcorresponds to your version of the MySQL server for the right syntax to use near ' HQ.* to ' hqadmin'@'localhost "on line 1
    -------------

    May be my fault, or not?

    Thank you

    Dias Thiago.

    Looks like you're missing the keyword WE:

    grant all on HQ.* to 'hqadmin'@'localhost ';

    Also, I assume that you have already created the database of HQ?

  • Instance and database

    Hello

    I am new to Oracle admin stuff, so I have a very simple question, grateful if someone can answer on the same.

    In oracle 1 instance can handle or is related to Maximum 1 database only, is it true? ... where as on the other hand 1 database can be managed by multiple instances of Oracle which is called concept CARS...

    Concerning

    Learner

    I still give this definition both in my class, an Instance is a gateway to the database. If you have the default instance linked to a database.

    A few times, this 1:1 confugration is not optimal due to the excessive workload and/or the conditions required to be more available, then we go for n: 1 where N = number of cases associated with a database (RAC). The definition still stands, because even now, you can go to any Forum and to the database.

    HTH
    Aman...

  • creating a new instance of database - how to choose UTF-8 enconding?

    Hello again,

    How can I set the UTF-8 encoding for the new instance of the database?

    concerning

    Simply specify in the CREATE DATABASE statement:

    CHARACTER SET AL32UTF8

    Oracle recommends using AL32UTF8 instead of UTF8.
    Chapter 2 of the Guide to globalization:

    >
    At the top of the list of character sets that oracle recommends to all new system deployment is the AL32UTF8 defined Unicode character.
    >

    Note that the character set is a property of the database (because it defines the storage of characters) and not an instance property.

  • Instance of database blocked

    Hello guys,.

    I have a very specific problem here, let me explain the problem. I installed Oracle 10 g R1 on a windows 2003 SP2 server, create a new instance and test it, al fine so far.
    After that I installed the Oracle Forms and reports 10g, start here all my problems, I can't connect to my database with any customer, I got the following error when tried connecting:
    ORA-12528: TNS:listener: all appropriate instances are blocking new connections
    Listener status indicate the State of the instance as BLOCKED.

    Investigation on the error message ORA resolution saying that bounce the server could solve the problem, but not for me.
    I can start the database but it is a manual procedure and do not want to do whenever the server reboots, so check the registry I can see variables ORACLE_HOME point to the last product (application server) and not to the database, here are the register ORACLE export:

    I have already copy the files from F:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Db_1\network\admin to E:\oracle\appserver\network\admin just in case.

    If someone wants to know how I can fix this problem manually, here are the steps:
    -Open a command window
    -SET ORACLE_SID = TEST
    sqlplus/nolog
    -connect sys/as sysdba
    -to deliver an immediate stop
    ORA-01507: database not mounted
    ORACLE instance stops.
    -Start

    After that I can connect to the database, but how can I solve this problem?

    Hope you can help me, but cordially.

    Everything worked fine before the installation of forms and reports, I think it could be a variable problem of the environment. I saw problems with the listener being started through the service and the windows making path refers to false oracle House or houses in the wrong order.

    I check the value of path of your Windows and make sure the database oracle home (is - this e:\oracle) is the first value.

    Something like...

    Path = e:\oracle\appserver; F:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Db_1...etc.

    should be: -.

    Path=F:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Db_1;e:\oracle\appserver...etc.

    Now, restart the listener and try again to establish the connection.
