  It wouldn't have a Windows option, it would be the manufacturer of the camera.  If their driver software includes an option, then you can use it. But only your manufacturer or instruction manual would know if your model has all the options like that.

  Hi Paul-C! I understand that you want to use the DSC-W710 camera as a webcam. Unfortunately, this camera model has not a USB streaming feature. Once the device is connected to a computer via USB, it goes into data transfer mode and will not be able to save pictures or videos.

  It may be possible to view a "live view" of what the camera is the view using audio/video connection. However, the computer may need to other components of an audio/video input, video capture card and software for recording. This may be an alternative, but still not guaranteed.

  I have a Dell XPS 15 with 10 Windows L502x system. I use the system for about a month and a half now with no problems with my webcam integrated Quantas. Today, when I was on Skype, cam crashed and it wouldn't work then.

  So far, these are all the things I've tried:

  1. I restarted the PC.
  2. Uninstalled Dell Webcam Central, rebooted and then re-installed.
  3. Uninstalled the device image from the Device Manager and Windows 10 it has not detected during restart.
  4. Manually, tried to install the driver of quantum, it was installed in compatibility mode and still the imaging device does not appear in Device Manager.
  5. My PC Doctor Dell Diagnostics show no problem at all. All tests are passed.
     
  6. Tried to restore the PC to a previous point, still no luck.
  7. As a last resort, use the convenience store , it did not find any problems.
  8. Also tried to add a device manually in the Device Manager, but it does not work too. Also tried to add material inherited, still not fixed.

  My business depends on Skype calls and it's a great shot for me right now.

  I updated Windows 10 only after that the Microsoft tool showed me that my PC is ready and suitable for the upgrade of Windows 10. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

  Just upgraded to the curve 8330 after that my 8703e died.

  Received yesterday and took a picture and saved it. Did not consider the meter that I didn't even know it existed then.

  Activated my email and etc through today assistance companies.

  Went to play with the camera, but it says that I have no available file space to save a photo. The meter indicates "000" available. I can't saved pictures.

  I tried a soft reboot, but that has not helped. Any suggestions or ideas? I am with Verizon, if that helps.

  1. If you are on a BES company, check with your administrator COMPUTER relating to any policy on your device that could prevent you from taking pictures.

  2. always check media options and see what is on the reserved pictures memory.  If set to 0, which seems to be your problem.

  However, you don't want be save photos to the memory of the device anyway since it is precious & your device needs to work properly.  Instead, make sure you have a multimedia card installed for saving photos-music-videos-ringtones-voice notes.  Go to the options-camera; Scroll to the image bank and select ' we media card.

  I just tried it in XP Mode and the first thing I had to do was to fix an 'unidentified USB key. When I set the device, installed the drivers for the camera and I was good to go.  You must attach the camera each time before you start Skyppe, I have the same thing happen when you use the camera in VMWare and VirtualBox.  You can use several USB devices to the host and the guest at the sametime, however, the camera isn't one of them.

  I wanted to buy the Dell U2711 that uses a resolution of 2560 x 1440.  I have a Lenovo T410 that uses the integrated Intel Graphics Media accelerator card.  I have a few questions:

  (1) can I use the monitor resolution 2560 x 1440 with this configuration of the laptop (connection via Displayport to Displayport adapter), if not, what is the maximum resolution I can use?

  (2) If Yes, can I use the Dell U2711 monitor plug and play or do I need to install drivers to use the maximum resolution (the T410 is a company computer and I can't install the drivers)?

  Also, while I'm asking, I have a T500 with a host of Ati. HD 3650 video card.  Can I connect to the monitor dell via adapter Displayport to Displayport to achieve this resolution?

  (2) no driver, plug-and-play. Even if windows would give you a few drivers for monitor calibration, etc..
