  • Utility Intel chipset software installation blue screen

Hi, I recently decided to install this utility but encountered a blue screen. I did all my files INF. Update tool, but when the installation reaches the Intel ICH9 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 293C the closed laptop - a blue screen with white text appeared. A USB composite device is connected to the host controller. I thought that this composite device may be causing the blue screen and tried to uninstall or disable it but sameblue screen apeared. Is there a problem with the Intel host controller or with the Chipset utility?

I would be very grateful if solve you my problem!
    Some information on my PC:
OS: Vista Home Basic (build in Service Pack 2)
Chipset: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset with integrated graphics
    RAM: 2 GB

Thanks for the report of BlueScreenView.

Please replace the camera driver with a new copy on the Dell site.  There is no need to have a device without driver - as it will cause problems that elsewhere also.

Once the drivers are replaced, if you still have problems BSOD - then we must suspect the camera itself (a hardware problem).

But there are many other things for us to test before you leave us on the drivers.  FWIW - I had problems with this driver to work before, and I may have a few "tricks" up my sleeve because of this.

Let us know if there are problems to obtain or install the drivers and I'll see what things are needed.

  • Re: Satellite L350 - cannot install Intel Chipset Software utility

I got my Satellite L350 for about 3 months now and gave Vista my best shot and he still hates.
I'm trying to go back to XP (care warranty issues). My problem is the following: -.

Windows XP installs OK but trying to install the Intel(r) Chipset Software Installation Utility ' "INFINST_AUTOL.". " EXE', I get the following message.

+ "This application has failed to start because the application is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem ' + '.

Strange message as this is a first time installation I'm doing. I have re-uploaded the file twice in case it was corrupted.

Without these .inf files in place, several pieces of material wont recognized under XP.

I tried both the latest version and the "download Toshiba" (5.0) version of the drivers intel, but nothing change: the Setup utility does not recognize the chipset and/or OS (Win2k SP 4). "."

What can I do? It is not a good thing at all that Toshiba does not explain details of the laptop motherboard chipset...

Please answer me, I can not use the laptop now!

  • USB does not work after you install the utility on Satellite A200 Intel chipsets

    Hello.
I installed Win XP Pro SP2 on my Satellite A200-1SM and everything was ok until I installed Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility version 8.2.0.1014 (recent ones on the site of download of Toshiba; before this step all USB dev. worked properly), after all my USB devices wouldn't work. I had my windows up-to-date with updates from Microsoft, but that has not changed a thing.

I use Vista once again, but still want to work one day at the XP operating system.

Please help me if you can.

Like the previous user said, the chipset must be installed as first pilot
In addition, it seems that this laptop supports the Intel® GM965 + ICH8M Intel chip.
It would be advisable to check the version of the Intel page directly

    Hey Buddy

  • Satellite A660 and Win8.1 - utility Chipset SW Installation

I have recently installed windows 8.1 on my Satellite A660 machine.

The question I have, is that I have to install an Intel Chipset SW Installation utility? (this is via windows update too)

What I notice sometimes is when you install it the fan starts about 70% mark even when the computer is idle. (room temperature is around 30 c/85F)

    Thanks to you all

    Hi wsb

I can see the Toshiba EU support page, A660 only is not supported for Win8/Win8.1.
What model do you have exactly (part number)?

  • A few questions about the installation of the Intel Chipset drivers

Out of curiosity... and I know that this may sound like a stupid question... Lets say you have installed chipsets Intel first you're supposed to do... then you install the rest (Management Interface Intel, graphics, SATA, Audio, network and all other driver updates required).
What happens when 6 months later, a newer version of the Intel Chipset Software becomes available?
    !. Install you or not?
    2. If you do not install a version more recent Intel chipsets don't you then have to install all your drivers hardware ((Interface de gestion Intel, graphics, SATA, Audio, réseau) again? IE does affect the previous drivers you may have installed in a recommended installation order.) I'm asking this is because I know its critics that the Intel Chipsets are installed before anything else and Im not 100% sure why, but I have a good idea.
A newer version of the Intel Chipsets would affect all previous hardware drivers that you have installed or would it just make new chipsets more compatible with all new devices you might install in the future without interfering with previous drivers for any hardware that you have already installed?
Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. Im just trying to better understand how to work the Intel Chipsets

    Hi Delboy777,

    To answer your questions;

    1 Yes

    2 NO.

For the initial installation of the operating system, chipset driver allows the OS to recognize the best material. But the chipset driver update doesn't impact no other drivers, even if it can improve compatibility.

  • Pavilion g7-1269nr: Intel Chipset will be not updated.

I always updated operating system and the programs, but never update of drivers. I didn't updated drivers, I thought, well I never think, just never heard of updating drivers, so never have.  Right now, I've updated all the drivers I think, will explain.

I have the Raptr desktop application, and it checks your GPU for updates.

It is said - driver Intel GPU (9.17.10.3347) update available

So, I clicked on the button (the driver update), and it took me to Intel.com for I can download the "Intel Driver Update Utility.

I downloaded and scanned my PC. The pilots, she showed was the GPU and Chipset.

    Under GPU, it says:

A custom computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update utility is not able to update the driver.< meaning="" there="" is="" one,="" and="" intel="" can't="" update="">

Raptr and The Intel Driver Update Utility both suggest that I need a GPU update. When I go on the site of HP, scan the PC and watch the updates available under driver-graphics and there were 3; Intel, AMD and Nvidia. So, I downloaded the Intel one and check my PC with the Intel driver update utility. He said the same thing, like Raptr.

    Under Chipset, it says:

Version of Intel Chipset Device Software (INF Update Utility-(EXE only) - installed 9.2.0.1011, latest version - 10.0.27

So, I download, then installed. There as well.

I don't know if it's important, but in my opinion, it might be.

I bought my PC to Aaron, and he had stuff all this Aaron on him and all the apps pesky that HP puts on the PC there are.

So, I came here to see what I could do about it. I didn't know that it's just that I bought a pc and it came with tons of additions that I don't want. I wanted to just simple Windows 7 operating system. I think that the person who helped me was named Sheryl, not for sure. But she suggested a. ISO. So I downloaded and installed. Entered my key for Windows authenticate and was in business.

Since I installed the. ISO, under Device Manager, there is a unit named "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface and can not find the program for her." He has one of those yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Predator G9 - 791 giving BSOD while updating the Intel Chipset

So far, I love my new laptop, I received last week. I ran into an interesting question but where if I try to update the drivers of Intel Chipset of the Acer website or through the Intel driver update utility, it gets about 1/2 way through the installation, then up a bluescreen with IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL to and restarts. I have to update BIOS on my system and all Windows updates as well. I thought maybe reinstalling Windows 10, but don't want to have to reinstall everything already if I can avoid it. I tried to play Forza Horizon 3 today and receive partially thanks to the initial line and then when it will move to the off road truck, he stops and me kicks off the game without error. When I start it, I get a caveat:

'Minimum requirements for Forza 3 Horizon not met'. Graphics driver not supported. Found 21.21.13.6909, whereas 21.21.13.7821 or newer (Code: FH301).

I'm really stumped on this one here. I get what display driver they are referring to because that drivers Intel HD 530 or 980M are close to this version. I'm afraid more naturally with the Blue error screen when you try to update the chipset driver. I use ESET Antivirus, but I even disabled that without change. I can't use Safe Mode to install the chipset update either. Thanks for any help or suggestion. If you need additional information, please let me know that as well.

I agree to IronFly is not really necessary to update the chipset driver if you encounter any problems. I have helps, I got the same error. I did a new install with that ongoing, so it works great. Because of me looking at this error, it's almost due to problems with the IRQ of the Killer network. So, if you first clear the two WiFi and ethernet driver in Device Manager, it would be possible to update the chipset driver.

  • Where can I find which Intel chipset is used for my Precision T3500?

I have upgraded to Windows 10, only now to find that the T3500 is "untested for Windows 10."

Technology Intel Rapid store takes up 30% of my CPU quad.

Downloads of Intel RST all depending on which Intel chipset or on the motherboard. Speccy tells me that the chipset is Intel X 58, rev. 22. which does not match all chipsets listed regarding RST downloads.

The Intel Chipset ID utility is not for 64-bit, so I can't use it.

If it's important, the Southbridge is Intel 82801IR (ICH10R)

Short to open the case and read the chip ID, how do I find what chipset I have?

9.6 does not have a floppy disk.  F6 floppy installation is reserved for the pre install formatting.  Once the OS is installed all you need is the big race executable as an administrator.

  • HP continues to ship the defective 6 Intel chipsets to customers after the recall.

Something people should be aware of is that HP has set up a 'solution' that isn't really a solution.  I had a QE DV7T (number of product XN093AV) who ordered in January.  The laptop has been affected by the issue of chipset and after one month of checking back with service customer HP I have finally told me they had a resolution and I could trade my machine for one with the newly revised chipset.  The replacement machine was delivered to me in mid-March, it was the number of identical product (XN093AV) and contained the same faulty chipset.

Some experience for those who do not know the chipset issue.  Intel has launched a recall of their 6 series (cougar point) southbridge chipset designed for use with the second generation core i-series "sandybridge" CPU.  Among the functions of the chipset is the interface for SATA controller for storage devices.  The chipset handles 6 SATA ports, 2 to 6 Gbps and 4 to 3 Gbps.  It's the 3 Gbps ports that are affected by the design flaw which can lead to errors of data to an attached storage device.  Mobile version of this chipset Intel is called HM65 and progression (version) of the chipset with the problem is "B2".  Intel has implemented a solution of silicon and released a new "B3" progression that is not the problem.  However, Intel has continued to ship the affected "B2" step by step to the manufacturers for applications where 6 Gbps ports would be used as they are not affected by the design flaw.

Back to "Fix" of HP - my original machine had the wrong "B2" stepping chipset HM65 with a hard drive connected to a 6 GB/s and an optical drive connected to one of the 3 defective Gbps ports.  The replacement machine, I received also had the same "B2" stepping HM65 chipset with both drives now connected to 6 Gb/s ports.  Unfortunately, this is not an acceptable solution on at least two fronts.  First of all, in addition to the disk hard main bay and the optical drive Bay, this particular 17.3 inch laptop has a secondary hard drive Bay.  Regardless, I bought an SSD that I intend to install plus readers installed at the factory.  This requires the use of a third port that should have been one of the 3 defective Gbps ports.  In addition, the laptop also has an e-SATA connector to connect external drives that I intend to use for backups.  I didn't check this, but as the main hard drive and the optical drive consume only two working ports it goes without saying that the e-SATA connector is connected to one of the faulty ports.

After about 5 hours of being tossed around in the customer service Sub HP and said there is nothing wrong with my machine, they agreed to Exchange once again for one of the DV7T QE newly released (number of product XW899AV) models, which I hope will have the 'B3' stepping chipset HM65.  I have not yet received, so I can't verify whether or not the new product has the same problem.  I'll post when I get it.

This affect you?  You can determine what capacity the chipset you have by running CPU - Z, a utility system free and widely approved, available at www.cpuid.com.  Select the mainboard tab and watch your chipset revision.  If you have the "B2" step by step and you plan to use more than two SATA devices at the same time you might have a problem.  The following link gives an overview your hp options.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02712015

I want to clarify that the answer to FAQ # 2 is definitely false.

HP continues to make products with the affected Intel chipset?

Lol HP stopped manufacturing products with Intel technology and queued expedition on products in stock HP and channel.

    Good luck.

There are motherboards with the update 'B3' stepping chipset appearing as "B2" in CPU - Z.  Given that I don't have the laptop in question, I can't physically inspect the chipset.  I withdraw my statement because there is no way to prove whether what version of the chipset has been deployed to this machine.

The following link provides another method of identification stepping chipset:

    http://News.Softpedia.com/news/how-to-find-out-if-your-Sandy-Bridge-motherboard-is-affected-by-Intel-s-SATA-bug-182252.shtml

If anyone has a replacement XN093AV machine, perhaps they can post their findings.

If for no other reason than not having to bear the XN093AV trackpad buttons (or lack thereof), I am always happy, they have accepted the return and will replace the machine with a XW899AV.  Not to mention the free graphics HD 6770 m, webcam HD and USB 3.0 card upgrade.

    Hello

I downloaded the Intel chipset drivers for my desktop PC Pavilion 500-035ed. I use Windows 8.1.

    • The driver installation program will check if the driver versions are newer than my existing drivers?
    • Are the chipset drivers Intel only the files that are installed in Windows or chipset driver installation program will also inform the firmware components?
    • Chipset drivers installed again whenever I have recover my system for Windows 8.0 with the recovery tool?

    Thanks in advance,

    S.J. Westra

    Hello

    Considering everything works as expected

    1. Yes, it will not install if the existing driver is the same or more recent.

    2. There is an area of blur here depending on how people look at it. Sometimes, you can't tell which part is for the firmware and what pasrt for Windows.

3 Yes, recover the machine will bring back everyting in the previous point and we have to reapply all the drivers from there.

    Kind regards.

  • Only install the drivers or Intel ProSet software?

I just ordered the dual band WiFi Intel 7260HMW card to replace the installed Realtek RTL8188EE shit. (I still don't understand why the Realtek card does not call 130mps.) There are two options for installing this card and it's drivers. You must install it with the Intel ProSet software that controls all functions of the computer's wireless and the other with only drivers. If someone has installed this card, and if yes which option did you select? Why?

    Thanks in advance.

    Scott

Interesting thread in the link you provided. It's always nice when someone else confirms that a WiFi adapter works in a specific notebook.

The Intel ProSet software and the driver will not negatively affect what anyone. It will improve your wireless experience with the adapter.
