Intel IAStor UI is not running
Hello
I use windows 7 64-bit and just noticed in the notification area of the taskbar icon has a yellow exclamation point. When I moved the mouse over it, a message popped up saying "Rapid Storage Technology doesn't work". When I clicked it, a dialog box pops up asking if I wanted to "allow this program to make changes to the computer. in this dialog box, I saw... Intel Corporation, IAStor UI... I clicked on "Yes to allow but nothing happened."
I wonder what could have caused this, and if someone could help me out here.
thanx

I just updated the BIOS to A09 (released yesterday). Then, I went into the BIOS and enabled the SmartConnect technology (it was not checked). When I logged into Windows, I still had the same problem. Then I went to Services and start the service, and it worked. I rebooted and do not get more error.

Intel Rapid Storage Technology Service is not running
I have an icon in the right lower plate that says that intel RST Service does not work. -What it means, what to fix and how to fix?
Hello
That service is described here: http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/chipsets/Q57/Q57-overview.htm about halfway the to the bottom of the page. It is not essential, but the more likely solution if you have additional disks is to reload the more appropriate for your Intel chipset sata driver.

HP 2000-2d29DX Notebook PC: intel rst service does not work
Recently, I noticed the icon in the lower right of the screen showling the intel rst service does not work. In the past, I saw the icon, but it would correct themselves after a few minutes. A week ago I downloaded the Speedy PC Pro registry cleaner. Don't know weather or not to download that has something to do with the service of the RST. Help, please.
Hi @aick,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!
I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your laptop HP 2000 and the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Service is not running. Click the windows services key type.Verify your Intel Rapid Storage Technology Service is not on the manual and the service has been started. The service should be automatic and started. Once these settings are correct, restart the laptop.
You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.
When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.
Thank you. -
Doom 3, C & C Generals and C & C Tiberian Sun do not run or play in Windows 7 64 bit
Three of my favorite games, C & C Generals, C & C Tiberian Sun and Doom 3 will not run or play in Windows 7 64 bit. Last week, I built a new computer with Intel i7 860, GA P55A UDP4 Mobo, Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD5770, 4 GB ram, LCD Samsung B2350 with Direct X 11 and Windows 7 64-bit.
Installed the 3 games. C & C Generals does not work, a little box came on the bar saying 'a serious error has occurred' tasks. I've uninstalled it. Then installed C & C Tib Sun, the error code says "live X-please ensure you have direct X 9 or a later version, also make sure that your video card meets the req min etc. I have the last card ATI graphics and direct X 11, then why the direct X error message? Tried Compatibility Mode set reading under Win XP sp2, the game still will not play, and even direct X error message came.
Installed in Doom 3. When I tried to play it, it goes in the first screen of doom, but with the main playing surface in the lower right corner makes it unplayable because you can't see the OK or Cancel buttons. A run yet compatibility mode and still the same problem.
Why is Windows 7 64 bit as a big missed with old games? Please help, how can I get these 3 games to play on my win7 64 bit computer?
Peter K
Thanks for your advice.
I should have done a little more research before asking my question, my apologies for wasting time anyones. The C & C Tiberium Wars game works now on my Win7 64 bit computer but only after I downloaded the 263 MB C & C3 update patch. Also, after you perform the procedure in compatibility mode, the game runs and plays OK. With Doom3, all I had to do was check the compatibility re fonts to display box, because I was running Win7 in large fonts/icons. Doom3 now works OK. As I uninstalled it C & C Generals, I have not bothered with it. I guess in some cases of incompatibility, the answer is to install the latest update for the game /patch, and then run the compatibility mode.

I've upgraded to a replacement hard drive, but Windows Update won't work now. Everything else seems OK.
The error is: "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running." You may have to restart your computer.
I restarted the computer a couple of times and in respect of the Services runs it the Windows Update service.
Operating system is Vista 64 bit.

After the upgrade to the bigger hard disk, I found that the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver should be updated. Once this is done Windows update ran properly. Microsoft Fixit did not help in this circumstance.

Windows Update cannot currently check the updates, because the service is not running
Whenever I try to update my windows vista with the recent service pack more computer, it tells me "Windows update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running." I'm running it from my admin account and I was curious to see if the same thing was happening with my other accounts. When I checked the they were fine and ready to go except the said that i needed approval admin even if I was giving him. I tried to turn admins accounts, but he wouldn't let me edit them, neither could I make a new account in general an admin or a fair standard.

I haven't added any hardware lately, so I don't really have any idea why this is happening all of a sudden.
Almost forgot to mention, the last days I'm on another Site of our society and it seems that some users more have this problem here.
At the beginning we had some problems with rogue KMS hosts (clients installed with the wrong key, and then they began to behave like a KMS host), but this has been fixed.
I see activation all requests come to the KMS host.
Someone at - it an idea?
Kind regards
Mario
It's the source of your problem

"This computer is not running genuine Windows", but it is
The Windows Activation Technologies message saying "this computer is not running genuine Windows", but it came from a major manufacturer (Dell) with the current operating system (Windows 7 Home Premium) preinstalled. I swap to a new HARD drive, but it was several weeks ago and it only happened in the last days. After that reading other threads here I downloaded and executed MGADiag, here is the result:

I've recently updated my old WD Scorpio Blue HDD(640GB) format tip of Hitachi 1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive.
When I entered the serial number at the back of the laptop, it has not be activated and so I opted for the path of phone activation. (this was happening before too and I used to activate the phone, but never I had windows is not an authentic message).
Windows has been activated successfully, and then, suddenly, after two days, I get a message "this computer is not running genuine windows.
It's strange, because I formatted and reinstalled so many times before in the past on the old HDD.
As far as I know, the serial number is related to the motherboard of the system and not the HARD drive right? So I don't get as to why is - that say windows is not genuine. The features of Windows Update is disabled for me...
Details of the laptop:
Acer Aspire 5740 G, intel i5, 4 GB RAM.
Installed antivirus: Avast Internet security (under license).
Is could someone please help me solve this problem? I really need your help...
I ran the diagnostic tool and here are the metrics for your info:

'This computer is not running Genuine Windows' notification continues after activation
A few months ago, my PC Windows 7 Professional has started raising the notification "this computer is not running Genuine Windows" with the option "pay online now.
This Genuine Windows warning message a couple of times a day.
I have this PC for 4 years with no problems.
In Control Panel > system, Windows has shown as active.
I also noticed that Windows Update has stopped working. In my research, I found suggestions about updating the Intel RAID controller drivers, what I did and it fixed the problem Windows Update.
Genuine Windows warning messages continued.I was unable to find my original product key Windows sticker/disc for the game at the Windows on the PC product key.
This pop-up became really annoying, I decided to buy a new key using the button «Solve online now»
I placed an order for "product name:" GGOK - Win7 Professional English "and activated Windows with the new product key."I always get the Genuine Windows warning message popping up every day.
So my question is, how do we stop this message all the time to appear on a Genuine Windows active?
Here are the results of the execution of MCADiag after activation.

SSDT DpgPmm CpuPmI can't see anything in your report to explain your non-genuine message.
I suggest that you look for malware.
I recommend that you run Disk Cleanup or cCleaner to remove temporary files as this will reduce the time to scan security software.
Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for users only - not the trial version), updated definitions and run in normal mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.
