Intel ID1E5D sata driver for Windows XP (for HP 650)

Hi all

We have a 650 HP with Windows8 installed on it. We would like to install windows XP on this machine, however get a BSOD (0x0000007B, 0xF78D2524)

After a little research, I realized that because drivers SATA on the laptop is not available for XP - if understood.

To change between IDE and AHCI in the BIOS, is not available.

I have used CPU - Z that tells me that the manufacture is Intel Sandybridge and model: ID1E5D

I have searched this site google/intel driver, but have had no luck. Could someone point me in the right direction if I use nLite to add the driver for installation? Still exist?

Thanks for your help

Hello:

Yes, the driver is indeed...

You can find it on the link below.  I want all drivers, wake so your drive will work on several PC.

The second file listed is for XP 32 bit. Ignore the description of the motherboard.  Drivers for laptop and desktop are provided.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21407&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%20XP%20Professional * & DownloadType=.

The best way to know which AHCI driver you need is just go to Device Manager and click to expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers section and you will find the name of the driver you need.

If I'm not mistaken, you should see the Intel (r) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller.

You can find this driver listed in the iaAHCI.inf file in the download above.

  • E420 - SATA driver for Windows XP

    Hello

I installed Windows XP x 64 on my Thinkpad E420 a few months ago.  Get the operating system to work with 64-bit drivers was a major pain, but I finally got it to work.

Yesterday, as XP x 64 became slower and slower, I uninstalled and installed the 32 bit instead (being fully aware that I won't be able to use my 8 GB, only 2.8.  Will not not to do a lot of school work on XP anyway).

I was hoping that I would have finally managed to install the SATA driver, but no.

It's quite annoying to start the BIOS and change the drive mode from AHCI to compatibility every time I start Windows XP (and the reverse for Windows 7, too).

First, I installed the chipset driver Intel here:

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS013906

Then the video driver and tried to install the AHCI support problematic:

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS014061

[Windows XP] (without floppy drive attached)
      1. Enable Compatibility mode in BIOS setup.
a.Press F1 during power up before entering Windows
b.Go to Config tab, and select "Serial ATA (SATA)" and press enter.
c.choose "Compatibility" mode, and press F10 to save and exit.
      2. Install Windows XP and Service Pack 3.
      3. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
      4. Right-click My Computer, then click Properties
      5. Click the Hardware tab
      6. Click Device Manager
      7. Expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers category.
      8. Right-click "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller"
and then select Update Driver Software.
      9. Select "No, not this time" and click "Next".
     10. Select "Install from a list or specific location".
     11. Click "Next" button.
     12. Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install".
     13. Click "Next" button.
     14. Select "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller" and click "Next" button.
     15. Click "Finish" button and click "Yes" button to restart system.
     16. After system stable, Click Start, then click Control Panel.
     17. Perform steps 4 to 12...
     18. Click "Hard Disk" button.
     19. Click "Browse...", then locate the extracted driver folder
and select the driver INF file, iaAHCI.inf.
     20. Click "Open", and then click "OK" button.
     21. At this point you should be presented with a selection and highlight
"Intel(R) 5 Series 4 Port SATA AHCI Controller"
"Intel(R) 5 Series 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller"
         "Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series SATA AHCI Controller"

         "Intel(R) ICH8M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller"
         "Intel(R) ICH8R/DH/DO SATA AHCI Controller"

         and you should select
"Intel(R) Mobile Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller"
     22. Click "Next" button, and th driver installation should start.
     23. An Update Driver Warning windows will appear, just click "Yes" to continue.
     24. Click "Finish" button when the installation is completed.
     25. When prompted for restart, Click "Yes".
     26. Enable AHCI mode in BIOS setup.
a.Press F1 during power up before entering Windows
b.Go to Config tab, and select "Serial ATA (SATA)" and press enter.
c.choose "AHCI" mode, and press F10 to save and exit.

I can't use a floppy drive, and the main problem is that I did not "Standard dual channel PCI IDE Controller" in my device manager.  Only this (sorry for the French):

    http://ImageShack.us/photo/my-images/13/devicebk.PNG/

I tried selecting the first choice (primary IDE channel), but I get a BSOD.

What should I choose, instead?  I'm doing something wrong?

    Thank you very much!

    I have it!

It was actually very simple to install, in fact.

I reinstalled the operating system, and what is important, it is necessary to install the SATA driver immediately after installing Windows XP.

The problem is that I installed the Intel chipset driver first...  Of course, that has caused the problem.  The SATA driver must be the first driver to install.

    Simple as that!

  • Lack of Intel/Realtek Sound Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit)

    Dear community,

We have just received laptop computer Intel (Acer Aspire VN7 - 792 G-74Y9), we are going to use with Windows 7 (64-bit).

Now we have a problem with the audio driver that we fail to install. All other drivers are run without error.

The audio device is displayed in device with a yellow exclamation point manager and it is not yet installed.

Here the data of the device :

    Hardware ID

    ------------------

    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_A170 & SUBSYS_103A1025 & REV_31

    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_A170 & SUBSYS_103A1025

    PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_A170 & CC_040100

    Compatible IDs

    PCI\VEN_8086 & CC_0401

    PCI\VEN_8086

    PCI\CC_040100

    PCI\CC_0401

According to our research on the internet (PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_A170 & CC_040100) it will be a "Intel (r) Smart Sound Technology (Intel (r) OSH) Audio Controller Driver".

We've already found many pilots (such as Realtek HD Sound Driver) and install them, but without success

Do you know how to find the right driver for this device?

    Thank you!

  • Satego X 200 - 21U - where to find the XP SATA driver for install XP

    I have laptop Satego X 200 - 21U with installed Windows Vista.
Where can I find the driver for SATA drive so I could install Windows XP?
HARD drive is Hitachi hts 541616j9sa00.

    Hello

The SATA driver is part of the Intel Storage Manager.
You can download the Storage Manager Intel since the European driver Toshiba page.

The package contains the F6hlpy folder that contains the files needed for the SATA.

These files must be included for the Windows XP CD using free software called nLite.

Google for nLite to get and find more details.
