Intel Rapid Storage on Raid0 error help

At startup when the screen flashes all the disks on my system, it shows an error on one of the drives in raid0.  When the Win7 finally load the Intel Rapid Storage notification in the hidden icons bar presents a problem.  The Intel Rapid Storage of opening of the status bar shows this:

I always open the videos I saved on the Board of the new media projects and do not understand what means the error message.  As far as I know, it still works.

Any ideas on that?

Thanks for your help.

James

I had some problem a long time ago, I forget exactly the error and the situation, but I think it was a failing hard drive. Make sure that your backup is current before you do anything else to fix. If there is a problem with the structure of raid, you might be able to rebuild the raid and it works again ok. you could also try to click on the reset to normal disk, or try the check and repair function... If this is the beginning of the problems with this drive, it can continue to cause problems or fail completely one day.

Here are some manuals from intel and you can look through their forums for similar problems.

  • My Dell XPS 8300 hard drive fails? Intel Rapid Storage detects the error when starting upwards.

My computer (dell xps 8300) has recently frozen and when it restarts it scored one of my RAID 0 hard drives as being a mistake. Surprisingly, my computer still works as always and after an investigation, I traced the gel to vuze trying to check a file after he was already down. I deleted the files causing the freeze and have not yet encountered any more freezing problems. But I'm still very worried, so I ran a disk check, who quickly said the disc is clean, and I also ran tests HD (Long & short) dell support center several times and they always say that readers are working properly. Today, I ran a checkdisk windows another who had a lot more time but seem to come clean. But to restart the computer disk was marked later once again as being a mistake. So I ran the tests of short and long and difficult road dell support center, once again, and the sound still saying everything is working properly. I then decided to try to start some other diagnostics of hard disk: seagate seatools and rescuer of Western Digital. The player has passed the tests of the Seatool, but almost immediately failed the tests of rescuer WD giving the error that there are too many bad sectors. Any advice on how to proceed would be much appreciated!

Lack of an operating system is the message you get when in fact there is a properly peripheral storage seen by your BIOS, but it is not a valid partition with a valid boot sector table.

I fear that you may have installed the operating system on a RAID-0 configuration and only now try to start from one half of the band?  Yes, you can WD 500 GB RAID-0 an and a 1 TB Seagate together.  It would be foolish (same capacity as a single player, but all the falls of RAID-0) but the computer doesn't know any better.

The RAID configuration (breaking apart the RAID) must arrive before the installation of the o/s.  The RAID/mobo card is one of the early stages of the process, he takes these 2 physical disks and mounted as a storage to the motherboard, allowing it to boot from it etc.

No matter what is happening currently, my advice would be to remove the RAID from the system discs.  You don't want a broken drive / failure connected, even if you do not use it because the computer will continue to warn / complain the RAID broke, the startup BIOS will be keep showing you a disc is seen mistakes SMART, and finally the failed drive can degrade to the point it actually damage something.

  • Intel Rapid Storage help

Hello and thank you for taking the time to help me.

Today, I had to do a fresh install, I have 2 x 750 GB HDDs in Raid 0 and as you can see by the photo, I joined Intel Rapid Storage has them in a Raid, but when I go on my computer its shows only a hard drive to 697 concert should it not read 1 397gig as IRS there value?

    and thanks again for ideas.

    Hello!

It seems that the RAID and cache drive has not been configured correctly. RAID 0 indicates the correct TSRI but not on my computer storage space, and the 60GB SSD shows as a caching device, even if the page indicates the acceleration is disabled.

I recommend you recreate the RAID and starting from scratch. Follow the instructions below:

    1. Delete the current RAID configuration and recreate the RAID 0 by following the steps described in this article.
    2. Follow the instructions step by step in this video to make a clean Windows installation.
    3. After you have installed Windows, install drivers in the correct order specified here.
    4. Then you can Activate the acceleration on the SSD by following the steps here.

Let me know how it goes!

  • With the help of the ReadyCache with Intel Rapid Storage Technology?

I just upgraded to Win8 and the ReadyCached doesn't seem to work.  My motherboard supports the Intels Rapid Storage Technology (RST), so I think to convert thie ReadyCache in an ordinary SSD.  How can I do this?  I just reformat the ReadyCache enable RAID in the BIOS and then hope for the best?

You can use the drive as a normal SSD all that you need to do is to reformat. no need for RAID really it can work in any RAID or AHCI IDE mode. Technology Intel Rapid storage technology is the SATA driver. Intel RST 11.6 is currently not took with the Expresscache software, but which is supposed to be fixed in the next software update.

  • Intel Rapid Storage Technology and envy 700-330qe

I'm a new 700-330qe CTO. Include updates of driver on the hp support is for technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology. I first thought it was a driver of hardware like my former lodge (he had a card Intel Matrix Storage Manager who managed the RAID 0, 1 or 0 + 1).  Now I see that it is a software emulation of RAID. Nowhere in the documentation supplied with the machine is there any mention of the capacity of this machine to run any form of RAID. I have two HARD drives, and they are the same size, so, theoretically, that I could run RAID 0 or 1, if I so wish, but is nowhere mention of a way to do it. I see the BIOS must be configured to run RAID.

I'm NO expert. I was wondering where I can find more on how to set up a RAID machine. So far, I still didn't look in the BIOS (not even sure how to do this, while some of you think I'm stupid). I guess I get a little twisted shape when a product has features that should be out in the open but seem to be hidden. Any help would be appreciated to reallyhl.

    Hello

You can use the TSRI for caching, but you must first disable ExpressCache to run.  If you buy a longer MSATA card of 64 GB (128 GB) then the remaining space can serve as a data storage area.

  • Replaced the hard drive - now screen Intel Rapid Storage Tech comes first?

A couple of weeks ago, I replaced the hard drive in my laptop Pavilion dm4-3090se with a 240 GB Samsung SSD (the laptop came with a 500 GB Hybrid HDD which is now my backup).

Everything works fine, except when I first put it in, I get the screen shown in the image below and it takes a good 5 or 6 seconds before it closes and opens Windows. How can I make this screen go away?

You are running Windows 7 or Windows 8? I see that you still have the installed cache acceleration mSATA 32 gig drive and it has the Intel Rapid Storage, just off acceleration partition. Can you find the control panel Intel Rapid Storage and reformatting the drive to 32 gig Accelerator? It will look something like this:

I suggest also just remove acceleration 32 gig of hard drive. You have really no more. You can not acclerate a SSD and shouldn't do anyway since having a main SSD is still faster than having the accelerator. See page 44 of the Manual:

  • No command in Intel Rapid Storage after the reset of a device of available Cache

There are in my book of 15-4010nr XT the spectrum of the HP TouchSmart Ultrabook 1 HDD and 1 SSD (30 GB).

The SSD was initially used for acceleration in Intel Rapid Storage.

But I zero it available in Intel Rapid Storage and now I can not "activate the acceleration' even once, because there is no such a command in the interface of the program - it only shows the disk information in the 'status' and 'Manage', but no orders at all (except Acivate LED). How to help?

    Hi Alice-Wonder,

Thank you for your request, I will do my best to help!

I understand that after changing the SSD for available in the Intel Rapid Storage, you are no longer able to activate the acceleration once again, since the command is no longer available. State Manange without any option of the command.

I suggest you do a restore back before making this change. Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).

If that did not help, I would do a factory recovery.  Performing a recovery system (Windows 8) HP.

During the recovery process, you will receive a prompt to back up your data to avoid loss. If you did not recently, I suggest do you it now.

Restoring files that were supported by using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8) upward.

    Good luck!

  • Technology Intel Rapid Storage from BIOS

I have an Aspire S5 with a 128 GB SSD. The SSD is seen in the laptop as two 64 GB drives and is configured as RAID0 as default. At one point the RAID has not and I tried factory reset, but the laptop would not get into the recovery mode (by pressing ALT + F10 and all variants of ALT/CTRL/F keys) then I reinstalled manually with a USB key.

In the BIOS, both drives are considered to be of 64 GB, but Windows only a drive on which I have installed is considered 64 GB, it is still considered the RAID drive (128 GB). It is not usable because I need to format it first, but I dare not do this. I see that the recoverypartition is still on it, but since in RAID0 RAID0, I'm assuming that all data on this partition Ghost is not usable in some way.

When starting the laptop I get the fast Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology (press CTRL + I), and it is said that the RAID has failed, listing the two disks (partitions), one of them as a member and the other (the one I reinstalled Windows on) not as a member. So I deleted this configuration and recreate and reinstall Windows again. But when I deleted the configuration I can access any more to technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology, the guest never happen! It just directly boots into Windows. By pressing CTRL + I on startup does not, probably because the FIRST is not loading...

I'm going to assume that the recoverypartition disappeared forever, since I have already reinstalled on one of the partitions, but I'd like to at least get a RAID running again.

TL; DR - technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology itself uninstalled from the Board of Directors, how can I enable it again?

If you are not using windows 7, I strongly suggest you to re - install under UEFI.

I suggest you update the BIOS if no update for your S5 is available, perhaps this may solve your problem of TSRI:
