Intel WLAN card cannot connect to Wanadoo livebox

I have a built-in Intel Pro/Wireless BG network connection card, but I can not connect properly and reliably to the Wanadoo livebox. Wanadoo assistance team advised me to make a few changes on my wireless card, but I couldn't because he's informed changes were not available: when I right click on my map and then click on properties, I can't find the network connection tab that would allow me to set it up, according to support Wanadoo, while my phone was able to connect to the Livebox.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Anyone know how to fix this? Do I have to update my map?

Thank you.

Jean-Christophe

First go to Device Manager and check if the wireless card was recognized correctly.
Then, go to the Green START button and select settings - network connections
Then select Wireless right click - Properties.

In the Middle you will find wireless networks tab.
Here, it should be possible to configure Wlan networks

AFAIK the Atheros chip also supports the latest WLAN security standards, including the Wi - Fi Protected Access WPA and WPA2.

    All,

I have been using G wireless since the purchase of my X61t in August 2008. Finally stepped up to N in my house. (LinkSys WRT310N) MacBook woman has seen and connected without the need to change anything. X61T, however, says he sees the router, but that "the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the edge of the network. (Mac 1, Windows 0)

When I roll over the name of the SSID it correctly pointed out that this is an 802.11n signal.

I looked at the properties of the card wireless in Device Manager and it lists 802.11n Mode as 'active '. The channel width is 'Auto '. I tried the router with 20 and 40... now set at 40. There is a parameter which is confusing to see: the last item is labeled "Wireless Mode" and allows 6 settings with various arrangements of the interface possible wireless standards: 802. 11A, 802. 11 b, etc., all the way to 802.11a/b/g' - but no mention of N in this section. I don't see any other setting that I recognize as related to the connection. Do a search here on this Board and acroos the forums all came with a few bugs I've tried: go into the BIOS and disable wireless then enable, for example.

Diagnostic tool from Intel PROSet / Wireless works fine until it gets to the Association Test and does not say, "not linked".

Although the router is set to broadcast a windows diagnosis indicates that the network is hidden. Weird.

Because the other computer is fortunately I agree with windows that the problem lies in the configuration of the Intel card. 61 x sees the internet via a cable - no problem!

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Suriya, thank you! You are a consistent help to people here on the forum.

I have "fixed" the connection - but who put in quotes because I don't know what I did to make it work. I think that these were settings of the router automatically changed by a firmware update I did as part of troubleshooting. Perhaps those (or more exactly do not keep Super-une attention on the order of the changes and related measures) assigned to my sense of what "worked".

I was about to update this driver to a version of June 2010. I bet that's the link you provided... I found that... but I let the drive where it is until everything else works computer here. Not broken don't fix it...

First of all, are you sure that your laptop is equipped and supplied with the internal WLan card 100%?
I m not sure but I think that this phone does not support the Wlan?  :|

In any case, if the minPCI wireless network adapter is not available, you can use an external WLan solution as a key USB WiFi. These sticks are cheap and easy to install.

I talk to you I recommend checking out the Livebox Orange router specifications. You know what Wlan standard is supported. You know the Wlan standards?
    I mean the standard 802.11 A, B, G or N most recent standard

B and G standards are best known and no longer supported.

Well well, to cut this story; You must use the card/WLan USB WLAN which supports the WLan standard even as your WLan router ;)

    > Another notification appears when I troubleshoot that says "My technology Intel wifi adapter not found" idk what it is all...
Because of this message, I would recommend checking the status of the WiFi (WLan card) adapter in Device Manager.
You could uninstall the WLan driver in Device Manager.
Then you need to download the latest driver from this page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

and should install the new drivers.
Reconfigure the Wlan connection and test functionality.

PS: Please make sure that the WiFi was enabled (FN + F8) before trying to set up the connection.

    Hello

Firstly, it must ensure that your wireless network card and your WLan router would support the Draft N.

Second, you should check if the project has been selected in the WLan card properties.
This, to check the Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab WLan card

    Hello

No, certainly not the laptop does not support the update of the Wlan card and it has also not been handed over with the wireless network card
I'm sure that you will not find the wifi card in device under network adapters Manager

So if you want to connect the laptop to the router wireless LAN or WLan you must use an external solution; for example: Wlan USB stick!

  • New Intel 6300 Wlan card does not work in Satellite P850/49

    Hello

I recently installed a new wifi card on my laptop in order to give him a dual-band support.

However, while all goes well in terms of hardware and driver installation, the computer fails to actually use the wifi card and insists on the fact that the card is 'off', even if it is enabled in the Device Manager, the computer recognizes and the computer is not on the airplane mode.

There is no physical switch on the laptop or the card, the function key does nothing (except the conversion between flight mode and without work), and even diagnostics insist that I need to "activate the wireless feature.

    Help?

Not great if you want to be able to get this card.
In many cases new modules and hardware parts don t work because of compatibility issues. Even if the module supports the Mini PCI standard, this means that all card mini PCI Wlan would be compatible. It is a big misunderstanding.

However, I found some interesting tips on the page of Intel:
    http://www.Intel.com/support/wireless/WLAN/sb/CS-025332.htm

    What you could do is:
In Control Panel > network and Internet > network connections, right click on the adapter. Check if the adapter can be set to the it.

Alternatively, you can try to install the Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility
You can enable or disable the wireless radio in the Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility main window. The status icon on the main window displays the current state of the radio. In the main window, click on WiFi or WiFi turn off to enable or disable the radio.

In which case it wouldn't work, I guess that the laptop cannot turn on the wireless network card because of the allocation of the different pins.
For example, some mini-PCI WLan cards needs to hide the axis 20 (thin strip of electrical tape and it is stuck on the 20 PIN) in order to obtain this permit.
Google search for mini pcie pin 20 and you will find that you are not the only ones with this problem.

  • Satellite 2430-301: cannot use 2200BG WLan card because the switch is off

    Hello

I have a Satellite 2430-301, which was not delivered with WLAN functionality. But I discovered, that there is a MiniPCI slot in the laptop.

So, I bought an Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Minipci card. After that I joined the card in the laptop, it has been detected by windows as a new network device. I downloaded and installed the drivers of Windows XP (because I have Windows XP installed on the laptop) of Intel (9.0.4.17) home page. The installation worked perfectly.

Now I tried to connect to a wireless network, but the software Intel says that the card is on 'off '. So I changed the menu drop-down on "on", which resulted in a mistake in German: "Die Intel (r) PRO/Wireless-Netzwerkverbindung ist noch deaktiviert.» Aktivieren Sie sie über your Hardware-switch. "(which means something like 'network Intel (r) PRO/Wireless connection is turned off. Turn it on with the hardware switch. »).

Although the switch was already in position "on", I spent several times - nothing important happened. The led next to the switch will not illuminate in both positions.

Are there problems of incompatibility between "Toshiba Satellite 2430 301" and "Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG?

    I did something wrong?

Is - this darn broken hardware switch?

    Any suggestions?

I would be really happy if someone could help me :)

    Thanks in advance,
    Thuriel

    Hello

The hardware switch led should light up if the switch is on.
In addition if you want to use the WiFi network you must go to the WLan with FN + F8 option.
In addition, you must check the WLan card properties in Device Manager. Here, you enter the Advanced tab. In the field of property choose radio power option and select the value to on.

  • Satellite A100-495 - Intel 3945abg wireless network card cannot find wifi networks

    Greetings,

I have some problems with networks wireless on my laptop Satellite A100-495.

The problem is: my wireless adapter (intel / pro 3945abg) doesn't seem to find wireless networks. If I portable place very close to my router wireless (such as 1 m) - connection can be established. If I move away (~ 5 m)-no connection or 'very bad' quality and constantly broken. Other notebooks I've tried still have "very good" quality at the same range.

This happens with other routers as well. And I can not any sign of wi - fi in my Uni (my colleagues have no problem with their machines).

I tried to play up with some parameters. Reinstalled adapter. Downloaded the latest drivers. Nothing helps.

A tip? Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Something like that happened to me a long time ago.
I used the Wlan configuration option to own Windows. For several months, I use the Intel Proset configuration utility to establish the WiFi connection!
    It works!

In addition, I have disabled the power Wlan option in the Wlan card properties save and adjust the intensity of the signal at top. I remember, in the advanced properties, you can find the 802.11 option preamble. The value is Long and short on my laptop.

    Hey dude... Check it out.
