• Development of InDesign documents for print and the web

  I develop InDesign documents for offset printing, but the Organization now wants to slip into the 21st century by also erect these same documents on the web (as interactive web pages that respond to user input). I'm looking for the outline of the best way to combat this, just so I don't waste too much time trying to learn the technology wrong or the fake software.

  I started to score my documents with XML, so I think the course on the web is from InDesign to XML format, then via XSLT or CSS in XHTML. What is the best or only way to do? I guess that DreamWeaver will also feature in the equation at some point.

  These documents are examination questions. They are pretty simple. All paras have paragraph styles, but there will be some substitutions of the police as bold, italic, underlined, clue, exposing. Without doubt, these must all XML tag, possibly using character styles? There are a lot of graphics inserted (files have and psd) which need to be converted to png, I guess. I have also attached metadata via XML attributes and I want that metadata to get to the web page and direct aid, action based on user input (like what answer they give to a question).

  As I have always worked on the print documents, I don't know XSLT, CSS, XHTML or HTML even if I just want to start on the right foot.

  Any suggestions welcome, including perhaps good tutorials or other resources. And of course, I want to automate this process as much as possible by using scripts.

  I am trying to create a slideshow of images with keys working on an Interactive InDesign document and followed the steps of "InDesign CC Classroom in a Book", but when I saw the document as they do not seem to work, I had the idea where I went wrong, can anyone help?

  Why do you have it convert again? It is no more a button. And the action the button must be on the release or press.

  And to be more specific. Interactive document doesn't mean anything. What's your game to end here? EPUB? Publish online?

• Size of the Indesign Document for the resolution of the iPad

  When creating a document of 1024 x 768 size in inches is bigger than the iPad itself and greater than the printed version of the magazine:

  10.6667 in WIDTH (768)
  14.2222 in HEIGHT (1024 pixels)

  Why is this?

  the iPad screen density is 132 pixels per inch, InDesign uses 72 pixels per inch. Therefore, the size in inches is different, although the dimensions in pixels (1024 x 768) are the same in both cases.

• Issue of Interactive InDesign Document Export

  I use InDesign CS5.5 (Win). I create a multi page interactive document. I use mainly text blocks and buttons. I have several bookmarks in the document, and the buttons are related bookmarks.

  When I start creating the document and export to PDF I have not any question in the document when the document pages increases, after exporting the document, Acrobat display the message "click on"Sign"to file and sign this form...". "but I have not all the forms in the doc.

  I have the same buttons and the text block in all pages. I don't know what Acrobat treats like form objects objects.

  When I start to remove the Acrobat pages, when it reaches the number of page 7, the highest point "click on the sign to fill...". "disappears.

  pouvez one facing this problem? Please help why Acrobat treats the document as a form of fields if the page number increases of more than 7.

  Hello, I want to create a portfolio of our work to put on an Ipad, so I can show it to my clients. Would be nice if I could slip through the different screens by scrolling with my finger. Now that I read a few articles about it, but still I can't find out what is the best way... Interactive PDF is not supported on Ipad (?) so I should create an e-book, but which is the best way? Or is it better to simply add a few images in my photofolder and simply scroll through them?

  There you go. You already have the opportunity to browse the images and run them in a slide show. There is no need to complicate things with PDF/ebook.

  You must configure the pages of appropriately for the target device. For iPad, it is 1024 x 768.

  CC Adobe license can be activated on 2 machines using the same Adobe ID, but only one at a time.

  There is no such association resolution level file in InDesign. The elements of your InDesign layout retain their respective characteristics; a 72 DPI raster image can coexist with a 300 ppi raster image and a 150 ppi raster image, as well as resolution independent vector graphics and text; and they all remain exactly as they are, independently of each other with respect to the resolution.

• Interactive PDF (drop down boxes) for iPad

  There are 'none' work around an interactive PDF on the iPad? More especially drop-down boxes! I have software that makes my life a lot easier if there is any way to do this or the other third or open on an iMac and save another way?

  For the particular shape in question, it was written (probably initially via algorithms of recognition of land) with multiple instances of a drop-down list and a text superimposed on another field.  Because the text field's before the menu drop-down order to field/tab, tap, it is processed first by the Mobile Player.  That's why your experience when you use the Mobile Player is one of a text field.

  The areas of Desktop Reader process in the order opposite of field/tab (order), so the experience the user will see is a drop-down list.

  I can change the Mobile Player in the fields of process as the office, in the reverse of field/tab (order) so that both products are compatible.  This help you in the short term, however.  To make your form work in the short term with the existing Mobile drive, you can remove the text fields that overlap (they are named as "undefined_n", where n is a number).  On a brief look, these text fields that overlap do not seem to serve a purpose (that they seem not to contain a hidden value or participate in javascript, for example); They seem to be the effect of a kind of (imperfect) automated field recognition algorithm.

  This happens when you try to install .ipa to a device that is not listed in the mobileprovision file. Make sure that the UDID of the device is included in your Developer Portal iTunes and when you generate the new file mobileprovision that you explicitly check the box next to the new feature that you added.

  You can do it in InDesign and Acrobat Pro, you should check in the two programs.

  InDesign: Window > output > separations (Panel) overview

  Acrobat Pro > tools > print > output preview, choose separations

  There you can disable any ink plate.

  I saw a tutorial on how to create a signature animated using After Effects, but cannot find any mention online if the completed file would be compatible with Adobe DPS, or even if I'll be able to import the file in InDesign, when I'm done.

  I could create this using Photoshop and call it as a sequence of images, but would like to find an easier, less tedious and more fluid way that would hopefully also smaller file size.

  Hi, you cannot import files AE in DPS.

  You can make a video and import it (better .mp4) or return as sequence of images (I prefer to use).

  The first way is more fluid, but the final file will be too big.

  The second way is fluid as a video and the file will be very low.

  You can create bookmarks in an InDesign document that will take you to a page in the document by double-clicking. Use the Bookmarks panel (window > Interactive > bookmark). Select text and choose new bookmark. Or selected text on a particular page, choose new bookmark and rename for this page.
