• Question sleeping on all new Satellite Pro U500-1EX

  Hi guys,.

  I have a new Satellite Pro U500-1EX with Windows 7 64 bit.

  The laptop is having some problems with its function of sleep. I wonder if others have had the same problem - and if anyone knows anything that can be done.

  OK, there are two questions;
  1. when the laptop enters sleep mode - it will come out it its own after a while. He goes to the login screen and wait about another hour before falling asleep. That's when it is plugged into the power - and no LAN.

  2. when I close the lid to put the laptop into standby - and while on battery - after awhile he will supply any. Connect the power supply won't do anything - the power light not at all - which suggests that the laptop don't even note not be plugged. I have to then remove the battery and turn the computer on (thus losing all the data that I had when I put the computer to sleep!).

  So, have you seen this issue with your satellite pro? This is something common and being ignored - or y at - it an easy solution for it?

  I have the Satellite U500 also but I can t notice any question about fashion 'sleep'. It works perfectly with an OS preinstalled Toshiba and the latest version of the BIOS. Then perhaps you need to update the BIOS as suggested Timox.

  Before you begin the update, close all running programs (also, AntiVirus and firewall), make sure you are logged in as administrator and do not stop the computer being updated.

  By the way: you use the preinstalled operating system from Toshiba?

• Question Equium L350 - 10L new HARD drive and recovery

  Hi all.

  My L350 - 10L has a HD death. Just does not start. I tried the HARD drive recovery system, but after it formatted the HD I got a message saying that the image file is corrupted. I removed the HD and connected to my desktop to save personal files (before I tried the recovery) and there were real issues reading the disc. I got most of the documents & E-mail eventually (had to run a lot of check disk runs using a 3rd party disk partition software). I think that the drive is actually physically damaged somehow.

  I'll need to buy a new set of Toshiba recovery disks (too long a story to explain, but it's basically my fault), but my main question is this: if I buy a new HD still recovery disks to restore my system to its original state even if it isn't the original HD? There, I guess I mean will the recovery discs recreate the 3 partitions - WinRE (Hidden), Vista C: and D: data and set the correct boot and information industries? And I suppose that a secondary question who would be the HD should be the same size as the original one (120 GB said / 111GB actually)?

  The Toshiba Recovery disk will define the laptop (and HARD drive), the factory settings.
  This means that the recovery DVDs will format the whole HARD drive and it will create the partitions and all the rest as on the first day of purchase.

  I hope I could bring a precision...

• Satellite L305-S5920: Question about PC card, new use HDD & Win XP

  I recently bought this machine in the mail and on arrival was disappointed to see that it is not equipped with a Firewire plug - I thought that all the machines which had today? Too bad, I thought I'd use my PCMCIA Firewire card. But then I found that what looks like a standard PCMCIA socket has a block to halfway down on one side which prevents a normal PCMCIA card being inserted. Snookered. What is this decision? Not one of my PC cards will go in.

  I then tried, had always been my intention to replace the 160 gb HD with a new 500 GB it and install XP on it. It's a very long story, but it culminates at Toshiba telling me that "this model will not work XP. Someone at - it ideas how to get around this problem?

  Either way, I don't seem to have all the means to re-establish a new HD Vista if/when this one fails. Am I expected to go out and buy, or I missed something? There is no "recovery partition" on the hard drive so there is no way that I can produce my own recovery disk.

  I then tried to play a DVD, to be told that it was the wrong region and could not be played. Quite absurd to place this restriction on laptops - I live in two Americas and Britain - but once again so much worse, I'll just load AnyDVD and continue nevertheless. But no - the carpet * a drive mounted by Toshiba is one of the few that cannot be decrypted.

  Therefore this machine, which works well in its own design constraints, is nowhere near what I wanted and expected it to be. Can someone suggest a solution to all of the above questions? Because I already ordered a different brand which according to me does not have these limits, but it would be useful to keep this as a spare if I can fix it.

  The recovery of HARD drive partition is placed on European models of Toshiba. I put t know how it works on Toshiba WE series (perhaps drive HARD recovery is not available on laptops in the United States), but perhaps you need to create the first recovery disk in order to recover the laptop to factory settings.

  To be honest I don't know what you want about cold or hot air with description. The fact is that portable equipment heat and laptop be cooled properly. The heat from the laptop is depends on its use. As you probably know when you use applications heavy CPU and GPU temperature will be higher than usual.
  So in the end, I must say that there is nothing unususal. I just recommend you take care how the laptop is placed on the desk. Make sure that the cooling fan is not blocked and portable can catch its breath.

  Hmm... What about Toshiba garbage? Perhaps the word trash are not one that fits, but if you want to say there are a lot of things pre-installed that we can live without it, I would say: you have right about. Is that you don't have to use all this software pre-installed and you can remove it from the system all that you do not want to use. Simply install your favorite applications.

  Toshiba doesn't offer additional software to restore media (with or without). So you can just what you got with your laptop.
  ConfigFree is very useful tool and it is very good for LAN/WLAN monitoring. This tool doesn't need a lot of resources and I recommend you leave preinstalled on your system.

  All folder HDDRecovery I say follow: be careful about this. This folder contains original recovery image. Toshiba doesn't offer support recovery DVDs with laptop and on all new models of notebook recovery image is recorded on the second partition. What you need to do is to create your own recovery DVDs using Toshiba Recovery creator tool. Please, do so immediately before you make changes on the structure of the HARD drive (remove this folder or change the partitions).
  So when the recovery DVD is created, you can delete this folder to have more free space on the second partition.

  If something goes wrong with Vista preinstalled for other facilities, you can use this recovery media created. Usually when the laptop starts up for the first time, a reminder will be displayed with following message:

  * your system is equipped with a hard drive recovery system. If you need repair *.
  * your computer in the restaurant to original factory State, you can do it directly *.
  * from the HDD (press F8 when you start your computer, choose 'Repair your computer' *)

  * Toshiba recommends you create recovery disk medium using the "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator."
  * for Hat, you are able to restore your computer to the original state that is installed at the factory, even if your computer is seriously damaged *.

  So please be careful about this.

  Paragon is unknown to me, but when you have the recovery DVD you can do what you want with book. After using this recovery media guests to new factory settings. All trial versions can be removed from the system.

• Question of BitLocker with new models E7270 E5470 E5570 Latitude and precision 7710 7510

  I got all these new models last week and I have a problem with them...

  Deploying Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit with SCCM 2012 and bitlocker is configured during the task sequence by a PIN at startup.

  This process works for all models until there... Latitude and Precision of previous generations, but now, with new models, there is a problem with the PIN code. At the end of the sequence of tasks, the drive is encrypted and there is no error BUT the PIN is not recognized and the recovery key is requested.

  This recovery key is correctly stored in AD. TPM and owner is ok. Version of the TPM secure is 1.2...

  I already tried to manually decrypt and encrypt again after you secure the TPM reset, but no way.

  I also tried Windows 10 companies, and the issue is the same.

  Is this a known issue? Someone here already experienced the same thing?

  This question is one that is being developed and there are updates of BIOS coming out that will fix it.

  At the moment the latest BIOS for the E7270 will fix the problem (BIOS 1.2.2)

  For the E5470/E5570 of Latitude and Precision 7510/7710 updates of BIOS to fix this will be published soon. I will not give dates at this stage because they can change.

  Hi everyone, I have a problem with scrolling in my area

  The page layout, I currently have is:

  and I add a created custom field to vfm1.

  However, every time I scroll the focus passes power to another, but the screen does not scroll down UNTIL the last field wins the update. Once the last field acquired focus, scrolling further causes the screen to scroll down.

  I tried to add simple labelfields at the vfm1 and it scrolls perfectly but created custom fields are causing the problem.

  Can anyone think of what may cause this effect?

  In the custom field is created, I replace the onFocus() and the onUnfocus() but I do not see why this would have caused this problem.

  I use lightroom on an Imac with OS 10.11.2 5.7.1. I can't Lightroom to recognize my D300 for tethered shooting. I have tried all the simple attempts... reboot, new usb cable... etc. And yes the D300 is supported by lightroom. Any suggestions?

• Question about sites mobile/new google info

  Hello, I have a site I did for a client in the business of selling real estate. I did a 1 page mobile site for them earlier that just included a link to e-mailer, them, as well as a link that took viewers on the desktop site to see what was the next sale phone. There was also a link to go to the full desktop site. I ran the site through user-friendly Google Mobile test and he said that the site was in line. BUT when I looked at the site in webmaster tools, there was a lot of mistakes (under mobile usablility) on pages that were not in the mobile site and I did not want their viewing from a mobile phone, they were not important on a mobile site.

  So my question is, (1) how to make a mobile site that includes only the pages that are important for Mobile viewers and google ignore the other pages when it comes to rating my site for mobile users? Or is there a way to do it?

  And (2) even though google said the site has been optimized for mobile, am I will be penalized in the search rankings because of other pages, desktop that google seeks to?

  Google evaluates each page/URL separately. According to your description, your homepage is mobile-friendly and other exclusively office pages on your site are not mobile.

  The purpose of Google change is their policy of classification, is that they will be mobile web pages ranking higher in the search results for those who search on a mobile device. Raison d'etre being if you are on a phone, you want to see results that are intended for display on a phone.

  I didn't know Google authors statements clarify if the new classification will not fund research impact (logically, we wouldn't have to wait, but Google has not specified on the way or the other, I've seen). Or I saw a clear statement on the question of whether mobile pages in a site search ranking is affected in any way by the fact that there are other pages of the site that are not mobile.

  Your update of Feb. 01, 2012 has ruined the firefox I knew.
  It opens new windows and I can't stop it.
  It is no longer open tabs I had open when I closed it, causes me a lot of work.

  It ignores the settings I have in the options, and quite frankly, if it ignores the basic parameters, I have to wonder how safe it really is now...

  You should reverse this update and review what you did... I hate this new version, and I will be uninstalling.

  Update here: I spent some time restart FF in safe mode and turning my extensions on one at a time. I realized that the add-on "Disconnect from Facebook" was causing problems mentioned above. Once I disabled this extension, my browser back to normal. I don't know if other extensions are causing this problem, but this troubleshooting method worked for me.

  PS - I returned to disconnect from Facebook and manually updated, and now it works well.
