• refnum and the Boolean property nodes

  Hi guys,.

  I have a weird problem where if I create a property node and connect it to the refnum of a Boolean value, I use in my Subvi what happens with the variant data type.

  Now, I know normally it means that the Boolean control is set to a lock rather than a State of the switch. However, even when I configure the refnum of the switch on the Subvi "switch when press ' it still maintains a variant data type.

  Bascially, so what I'm asking, it is, is it possible to get the mode of Boolean data back using these property nodes?

  The main objective of this code must be able to have a "Stop executing" button on the front panel and who put an end to the Subvi, which will run at the time and return to the main program any when that button is pressed.

  The joint screws are written in Labview 2012.

  I'm building a VI that must update several controls/indicators in several points throughout its execution. It must also be able to accept the new values of the controls at any time.

  The problem is that all these controls and indicators on the face before of the VI another who called my VI. The current version of my program updates all these controls and indicators using references and property nodes (each indicator/control to be used has its own reference on my VI control, and these references are then sent to nodes of property), which makes it naturally slow.

  At the moment I plan to rebuild my VI so that the principal is able to recover data without the help of the references, but it is not only a lot of time but also difficult and impossible without my code turning into a massive pile of disorganized (especially since the lab computer is quite slow and the main big enough VI that by pressing the button "clean/re-organize block" causes a crash).

  Alternatives to this? Queues?

  This (my nugget events) is the best general solution, I came here.

• Problem with the Value property node (MacOS)

  Insofar that I tested it, the nodes of property Value (and value (signalling)) do not work under MacOS: value property is a Boolean value, the value (signaling) as a cluster (width, height).

  Even with the Boolean controls, the node does not work.

  Not such a problem in LV 8.6.

  Am I missing something? Is that some 'of use' ? Or just a bug?

  This looks like some sort of problem of indexing with the nodes property as somesort of corrupted installation.  What happens if you just delete the property node and recreate him?

  I filed a digital control and looked at the context menu of the list of the nodes property.  Below value and value (signs) are Visible (which would be a Boolean value) and Xcontrol, that when you bring through the submenus, the first choice is container bounds, a cluster of Width and Height.  If these 2 types of data which are located 2 below in the list match those you found.

  What happens if you take another node in property a few elements upwards or downwards in the context menu?  Fact is happen for other properties, and if so, are thereany properties who agree?

  Here's what look like my property for a digital nodes and I draggged the box up and down to show the natural order of the nodes property.  Notice that I have script installed, so there are a few other nodes property (and the blue box at the top) you may not have.

  What determines the Position of the Active cell in a table control property node? I have this in my code and display the value of an indicator on front panel. The displayed value is always set to 0,0. Help for the property node says it's "read - only" so what defines the Position of the Active cell in a table control value?

  Define you the active cell with a property node.  Once you select an active cell, you can do this cell and single cell-specific things, things like the background value color.

• Label error after adding/removing items to a property node

  It's my third topic of bewilderment to label in Labview (precedents are: here and here).

  When you place the label of a property node on the right of the node property, centered vertically, the labels are placed incorrectly after the property node elements are added or removed.

  Two things happen:

  1. vertically, the position of the label is not stay centered and can even move away from the property node (if enough material is removed).  This phenomenon also occurs with the label on the left side, centered vertically.

  2. to add or remove larger items (which causes the property node resize horizontally as well) the position of the label is misplaced horizontally, often dramatically so.  This also happens with the label anywhere elsewhere on the same or right side centered horizontally.

  I think that occurance 1 and 2 are related to eachother, so I returned them like a CAR.

• SOUL 2014 export error. No update of the first sequence.

  It seems that queuing sequences of Premiere Pro to SOUL via Ctrl + M is forever broken because creating to hang and hang on the dialog "export media. This has been broken for several months.   I created new sequences with the same media, removed 3rd party audio plugins, flying over all the images to another drive, tried to encoded in a different format such as AVI, and I tried to set the encoding to save them on several disks. It will always fail at the same point. It seems to hang and fail on the clips I created in AE, who travelled using JPEG. MOV. I tried to make the clip where SOUL fails using a different AVI container, but he eventually fail in the same place.

  The strangest thing is that when I turn off the clips in first and dragged made I tried, it hangs on the same clip as if it has not been disabled! I also deleted the clips in the timeline and they always appear in the window of insight into the SOUL and it hangs on them and it fails!

  I tried a reinstall of PP and SOUL, move all the items of assets to another machine and encoding, activation and deactivation "Import sees natively" in the SOUL, the activation and deactivation of mercury in PP and SOUL, and I got the same result. SOUL fails encoding with an error "film compilation error. Same result when I tried to export from PP.

  The only thing that has worked has been made all the clips I created EI using a different codec (was MOV JPEG and I have a new Lagarith AVI rendering). It seemed to work. When it would fail in SOUL he would hang a frame for several minutes before giving me the sound of sheep. Clips from MOV JPEG original of the PP has played very well in the sequences and multimedia players. No drama, no glitches.

  Don't know why wan't SOUL update sequences of PP. The fix for this was the launch of SOUL with Shift key to clear preferences. Also I made sure I saved pp until I dragged more than SOUL for encoding.

  I hope this will help someone else along their journey. Thanks for the research!

  When I stopped my laptop I saw 6 Windows load updates automatically. Today, I get a message "Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine". • Is there a more efficient way to use the visible property node to make the inactive/hiding controls on the front?

  I just inherited the labview code to run a system of imaging optics mamography.

  It has 32 sources 128 detectors and 2 games of light and the user has the possibility to control the parameters of gain for each sensor to each source for each source of wavelengths, so as you can imagine there are a lot of orders and LEDs on the front panel.

  Depending on how many sources are entered labview code through a loop For which in fact a 'smooth box' visible or invisible, on the adjustment of gain control depending on whether the current detector is greater than the seizure of the number by the user.  This loop slows down the program because it works 128 times (max number of detectors) and has 4 structures deal (2 sets of wavelengths, 2 for each breast) with 64 nodes of property each where it is visible property to enabled or disables the box with that covers the detectors.

  I was wondering if there was an easier way to enable or disable controls for unused detectors, not only that slows down the program but to reconfigure the data to use more sources, I stop the program and restart it.

  I would like to create a button custom as a master, so that if I change the look of the master all other buttons are changed.

  I did it with a custom control, such as a 'type strict def' otherwise the look will change , BUT if I do this as a strict type def I can't change the Boolean text more which should be different on each button.

  How to create a master control of a button where the look apply to everyone else but not the Boolean text?
