Intermittent wifi connection.

Original title: Wi fi link to router

Every 20 minutes or if my computer loses its connection to my router, after a few minutes, he re connects, I used other computers on the same router without this problem. My computer had the same problem on all other routers. Can anyone suggest what the problem. It's a note book Compaq nx 6110

Here is a link to the problem

Respectfully, what on Earth has a KB article on "Windows 8 clients cannot connect to the wireless infrastructure existing while Windows 7 and XP machines don't" have anything to do with a Windows XP computer (probably) periodically abandon a wireless connection?

(Ron thrower) problem the Original poster is often a problem in the router, the statements that a of other computers have no problem with this router and (b) this computer has the problem of abandonment with all other routers seem to eliminate the router as being the cause here.  However, it would be interesting to know (a) make and model of wireless router, including any version number and (b) the question of whether the router is capable wireless N and if other computers mentioned in the original question are fairly new to also be Wireless - N.

Another common source of wifi dropouts is interference from radio frequency sources such as the microwave ovens, cordless phones, intercoms of surveillance and others nearby.  Yet once, it doesn't seem to be the issue here.

I suggest this pitcher ron follow the advice here, especially the methods 5 and 6: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=449877&prodTypeId=321957&objectID=c00289775

The wireless adapter drivers are here--> http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=449878&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=449877&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=228#11395 first determine if your computer has a network card wireless Intel or Broadcom (see method 6 link above).  Download and install the Intel PRO/wireless drivers 5.00 or driver LAN wireless Broadcom 4.00 C (file 3.3 MB dated June 1, 2005).

Read the directions, method 6 both on the download page of the respective driver package.

Intel Wifi driver is up to date and I uninstalled/reinstalled without change (13.2 SP48478)

    Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN

I've also kept all other drivers up to date based on HP Compaq emails I receive on a regular basis.

The problem arose suddenly yesterday (02/04/12) there has been no updates Windows or software installations. When I reboot it rises very well and after a period of indeterminate (10 minutes one perhaps of the time), the light turns off. He can come back once or twice but finished by turns off. At that time. Device Manager continues to show the network card and any troubleshooting effort does not take into account the fact that I have wireless capability and suggested that I just plug a cable...

I searched the forum and found some similar cases, but none of the remedies had an impact (fn + F2 is without effect, for example).

    Hello:

I find it useful to keep my updated drivers from the manufacturer's website as soon as I can.

The driver that you mentioned in your post is almost 2 years late.

Here is the link to the latest Intel drivers for your card.

Select the top download for the driver only.

    32 bits:

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y & DwnldID = 21044 & lang = eng & OSVersion = Windows % 207% 20 (32-bit) * & DownloadType = 20Applications % software

    64-bit:

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y & DwnldID = 21045 & lang = eng & OSVersion = Windows % 207% 20 (64-bit) * & DownloadType = 20Applications % software

If these updated drivers are unable to resolve the issue, I suspect the card will come out on you and needs to be replaced.

If replacement is necessary, you must replace it with one of the maps in the 6730 b maintenance manual and the replacement of the card must have the HP part # on it or it won't work.

  • intermittent internet connection of HP pavilion x 2

    Hello

I bought a x 2 Pavilion 11.6 "2 in 1 15 days ago and I am constantly thrown out of my internet to explore link (says I have no internet connection) despite the internet access the bars showing the complete connection. My ISP is Virgin.  My old PC that runs windows 7 and new HP daughter divided x 2 13 '' who is running windows 8.1 that connect well to the router at my house and my new links pavillion x 2 fine for the interntet via wifi at home and work without any problem.

I tried to re-creation of my router several times and this solved the problem for about a minute at best.  We bought two laptops through Curry but they refuse to come to the House to make a configuration despite offering to pay for the service and they say that there is no fault woth the PC because it works in some places.

Sometimes to investigate the question of nework arrives with a (999) network connectivity problem, sometimes he said to re - configure the router/modem - but as stated earlier, this only solves the problem for a very short time as HP performs automatice reapirs - (reset the "IntelR wireless-N 7260" adapter) which lasts about a minute.

After having spent £429 on this beautiful piece of equipment please can someone help me to get my emails and the internet?

    Following my message of origin above;

    2 in 1 is a HP Pavilion x 2 11-hoo3sa 11.6 "F4T44EA #ABU

I've updated the media tek 802.11 wireless LAN adaper pilot.  He advised to remove the previous Chuck but I did not do what was not sure where to locate it - is this possible now?  I had already updated the network wireless driver intel 7260 (who had made no difference) there are two other di network = River updates, but they do not seem to be related to my problem, so I did not download them.  I did have the chance to try the new driver but I have to go elsewhere to access the internet to communicate with you all.  If I assign a fixed address as suggested before that would mean that it does not connect when I'm anywhere else?

I'm a pretty confident user of PC - the technical stuff moved from my comfort zone, but will try to follow the instructions.

    Help, please

I had the same problem of intermittent WIFI connectivity, but only on an old router on holiday in Spain.  Everything works very well at home in the United Kingdom.  My flag is fully patched for drivers and windows 8.1.  I just couldn't connect to the router for more than one minute at best.

the difficulty is to force the WIFI card to use the old WIFI Protocol:

    Device Manager-> network adapters-> Realtek RTL8188EE 801.11b/g/n-> properties-> advanced-> Wireless WiFi adapter is IEEE 802. 11 b

probably because that HP haven written their system software successfully to detect old routers that supported the old protocols... like millions of people around the world use every day...

    Hello Pierrette45,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

Leave your post, it looks like you have a problem with your wireless keyboard does not. I also understand that you have completed a ton of fun troubleshooting. One thing I would look for in this situation is a potential cause of the interference of the signal as described in the following article.

our mouse or keyboard intermittently not responding

Follow these steps if your mouse or your keyboard sometimes stops responding temporarily.

    Click or press a key

    • Click on the mouse or trackpad, or press a key on the keyboard to reconnect the device to the computer. It may take a while for the device to respond.

    Search for interference of signals

    • Wireless networks that operate on 2.4 GHz can cause interference. Move base stations of phone wireless, microwave ovens and other appliances of 2.4 GHz far your Mac if you suspect interference.
    • Keep devices wireless to 10 meters (30 feet) of your Mac.
    • Avoid putting metal objects between your wireless device and your Mac.

    Hello!

FYI, this has worked for me, finally a solution!

The strangest thing - I have uninstalled the driver Atheros. Do NOT reinstall it. After uninstalling the driver Atheros, a right screen Windows 10 panel immediately appeared style - either on advice of Panel or in the page settings of WiFi, was asleep, can't remember which - that contains an entry box marked my wifi password. I entered the password and boom, the wifi worked. He has been since.

  • I've never seen the cloud on my watch symbolizing the wifi connection.

I've never seen the cloud on my watch symbolizing the wifi connection. How to operate when phone and shows are on the same network?

    Hi, Kristian

If your Apple Watch is not connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth, but it is within range of a WiFi (2.4 GHz) network your iPhone plugged in the front (while it was connected to your watch via Bluetooth), then your watch can connect to this network and still offer some features:

To check the status of the connection of your watch, go to the eye of parameters:

    • When displaying the time on your watch, slide up on the screen, then swipe left / right for the look of parameters.
    • This will specify connected or disconnected:
      • If it says connected and the icon in the upper right corner is a green phone, your watch is connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
      • If it says connected, the icon is a green cloud, then your watch is disconnected from your iPhone via Bluetooth, but rather connected (as a backup) to a known Wi - Fi network.
      • If it is disconnected, your watch is disconnected from your iPhone and also is not connected to a Wi - Fi network. The icon in the upper right corner will be a red telephone with a line through it.
    • Slide down again to return to the watch face.

To test whether your watch is currently able to connect to a Wi - Fi compatible network known as a relief:

    • When within range of the network, turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone.
    • After pausing for a short time, check the status of the connection of your watch as described above.

    Maybe corrupt network preferences.

Open the Finder. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

Type or copy paste the following text:

    / Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Click OK, and then move all files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the trash.

Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.

  • Why my ipad loses the wifi connection when I abandon my modem wireless of Qwest

Why my ipad loses the wifi connection when I abandon my modem wireless of Qwest

WiFi connections are losing their strength increases the distance between the router and so as a general rule, there are some conflicting objects

    Try the following steps please

The following actions and after each test to see if the issue is resolved - if yes, then you can omit the following steps - I tried to list them in ascending order of the effort at least on a Mac and / or an iDevice

    1. Check if the problem is related to a single device and if other devices connect normally-
    2. If the answer 1 is 'yes' - try to connect the device assigned to somewhere else if possible - coffee or the University
    3. Perform a forced - restart cela do not delete or purge all data and allows to solve many problems - here is how - press and hold the Off / On Home button and at the same time for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Allow normal startup upward.
    4. Settings - WiFi - < network name > - Click on forget network - do a restart forced according to 3 and then add again the network
    5. If home - reboot the router by unplugging it for 60 seconds (power) and the plug and reconnect - obviously, this step can be done in a public place like a cafe or airport or University. While you're there - make sure your router is working on the latest firmware (check manufacturer's website)
    6. Settings - general - reset - Reset network settings - remember to have very practical WiFi passwords because it erases the WiFi passwords
    7. If it is a new specific net device in your home - make sure that the router gives enough DNS for all numbers which must / wants a connection - stuff like the printer, Chromecast get overlooked - ask for more details on this so not sure option
    8. Backup the device to iTunes - restore as NEW (no) - see if solves problem - if yes - restore backup
    9. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

  • WiFi connectivity weird when I plug in the USB Flash drive?

I found this WiFi connection problem a few days ago, when I plugged a USB Flash drive in "USB port right side' of my MacBook Pro.

Every time when USB , WiFi won't work - the connection is lost and can not connect to any hotspot even turn the WiFi market.

I found more weird, ONLY this brand and model key USB could be the abnormal Mac WiFi.

This problem will not happen to another USB port even I put the Flash drive in the left side, USB port, weird isn't?

Conclusion, this flash drive cannot be used with USB port on the RIGHT side, another USB port works fine. If WiFi don't work.

All other USB devices I've owned are working very well on the USB ports on the right or left side.

Could Apple support or any helps me to understand why this happen?

PS. I had the Apple's Diagnostics and received a message "no problem found".

I know that's not my wifi because all other laptops and computers in the work of the House very well with windows 7 and proffessional ect.

I tried almost everything, including troubleshooting, who comes up with the message: problem with access point or adapter without wire and/or invalid IP configuration.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess you don t know that win 8 happened and obsolete. The new 8.1 Win was published by Microsoft a few months ago and you could upgrade the Win 8 to 8.1 win free.

For this I recommend you follow the instructions step by step for Toshiba
