internal microphone not working not properly

Sins, I bought my HP Pavilion dv7-7051ea a month ago, the internal microphone has never worked properly when I try to talk to my friends on Skype or voipwise. I have reinstold mic-no driver has not helped. Setting microphone on the Panel procedure did not help aither. Anibody, please help me solve the problem.

George

Try the steps listed in this document from HP. He has the solutions and measures to isolate the most common problem.

Maybe it's a hardware problem like an external microphone works without any problem, but I would like to know what is happening at every stage of the document as that will help determine if it is a hardware problem or not.

Also, let me know the results of the procedure described in the help Windows Sound Recorder to test the microphone section. If this file is saved also exhibits the same behavior, it certainly isn't any software of third party at the origin of the problem.

    Hello

I've had my laptop for several months and everything was fine until yesterday when the internal microphone no longer works so today I come to use the webcam, and it is said that he didn't and must be restarted (I did several times).

I tried to download the latest driver that I have on my pc. I run the file but nothing happens nothing thereafter i.e. no installation wizard.
Am I doing something wrong, that I have to delete the existing application?

    What's not here?

    Hello

The webcam should be included under point: imaging devices
You should see peripheral USB video.
    You see that?

If you can see this, then uninstall the driver in Device Manager.
Then, go to control panel of-> software and uninstall webcam software.
Then clean the BONES and the registry using the CCleaner.
Then restart the laptop and download the latest version of the software webcam Toshiba driver page.
Install the webcam software and reboot the laptop.

After that the laptop has started, start the webcam software and check if the webcam can be used.

  • Portege R830 - Internal Microphone stopped working

    Hello

I have a Portege R830 1 month. Using Windows 7 64 bit. Set up Skype and everything was working 2 weeks ago now only the video work. The microphone has stopped working.

I installed the latest Realtek HD Ausio Driver and Webcam driver. The setting of the microphone is not cut and leave and Booster is the max. This is the default recording device. The only thing that has changed is I tried external speakers and also started using a docking station.

It drives me crazy. Any ideas? I wonder if it's a hardware problem?

    Hey,.

You use the preinstalled version of Windows 7 in Toshiba or is it your own installation?

The microphone is a part of webcam and this is why you need to install the driver for the webcam. You wrote that you reinstalled the driver for the webcam, but did you remove the old version first? You must remove the older version first, and then restart your laptop. In addition, use CCleaner (freeware tool) to clean the registry and restart. Then your computer is ready for a new driver.

  • Internal microphone does not work do not with Windows 7 RC on dv9000 (Dv9817cl)

Hi, I recently installed Windows 7 RC (64-bit) on my HP dv9000 (DV9817cl) and everything seems to work outside the internal microphones.

In the section of section material and audio control panel sounds he is only a specified recording device "Microphone, device high definition audio, not connected.  I guess that's the port microphone 3.5 mm at the front of the laptop.  There is only one problem of driver in Device Manager for "other devices > coprocessor.

The current audio driver is high definition Audio Device from microsoft v6.1.7100.0.  I tried looking for updated drivers ion the web without success so far.

Anyone know where I could get a updated driver or have any suggestions to get it going?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Daniel,.

Thanks a lot for the info.  I could not quite update the audio driver you linked to, but I eventually find update driver on the hp site:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-63949-1 & LC = on & DLC = in & CC = NZ & Product = 3691962 & os = 2100 & lang = in

I used the "hermosa" driver version and now everything works OK.

I used the updated driver that you suggested for the error of the coprocessor driver, which worked well.

Thanks a lot for your comments.

    See you soon

    Helllo Forum,
The problem seems simple but its delicate. The internal microfone is not working.
I cannot find any topic in the deivce Manager.

Is there perhaps a way to activate the Mikro as FN + X?
"I've tried the standards such as ' Start +" Mikro ", right click on the speaker icon...

Is there someone who had solved the same problem?

    IAM running low on ideas...

    Thank you

How did you test the internal mic?

Usually, the internal mic belongs to the internal webcam. So have you tested this in relation to the internal webcam?
Pre-installed webcam software allows you to create movies and pictures. The film can be recorded with the sound and the internal MIC is used for this

In addition the internal microphone should appear in Control Panel-> sound-> recording tab
If it s not visible, then you must right-click and must check the options; Show hidden devices, see the disabled devices. You could activate the internal microphone and this could make as default device.

  • DV9930US. internal Microphone does not work do not (Vista and Windows7)

    Hello

I had my DV9930US for awhile, but until recently, I've not used the webcam or microphone internal.

I am preparing for a trip, so I thought I'd see if I could get something like Skype Setup, but I find the internal mic doesn't seem to work (do not hear anything).   Audio output seems to work very well, and also if I plug an external microphone on taking forward, under the keyboard, which seems to work... it is just the internal microphones (there are two, I think, at the top of the screen, which surrounds the webcam) which do not work ...

Everything looks ok in Device Manager.  Under 'Sound', I have "Realtek High Definition Audio".  The driver is dated 15/01/08, V6.0.1.5548.

I tried to test it with sound recorder, I also tested the microphone 'configure', but it never shows all the bars and the Sound Recorder file records is essentially silent.

I still have the original Vista Home Premium on this machine and also Windows 7 Ultimate (I double boot), and even the original Vista seems to have the same problem.

I've seen a few posts here with problems with G60s, but no resolution, so I was wondering if anyone might know which

    Perhaps the problem is?

    Thank you!

    Jim

    Hello

For the record, I finally found the problem.

In the DV9930US, there is a small PCB (1 "x 1"), called the "of the power button.  This is the power button, and 3 pin connectors, as well as a flat cable connector.

The microphones under the screen to connect to a 3 pinned connectors, and the flat cable is going, I think for the real sound card.

I had replaced the pickups, which does not solve the problem, so I bought the replacement power button that fortunately, came with a new flat cable.

It turned out that the original flat cable from the power button on the audio card was bad.

I replaced the flat cable, and then worked the internal microphones.

  • Satellite S50T-B - internal microphone does not work

I have never attempted to use the microphone before today, so I don't know if it's a question that has always existed or barely took place recently.

    I have Windows 8.

The internal microphone is not working I have a microphone with my recording devices menu. There are currently enabled, and another one that says that it is not plugged. This second microphone appeared after that I uninstalled the driver Conexant Smart Audio that was suggested on another forum.

Currently, I use Microsoft windows HD audio device and outside this second pilot disconnected microphone in the sound menu. When you use the registered sound software sometimes I hear a click and when I click on the menu of the bar beside the microphone fills.

I can't take the laptop where I brought what I moved the country after purchase.

    Hello

As I m not wrong not the internal mic belongs to the internal webcam.
From my understanding, you need to activate the webcam in Windows settings

Open the camera app Point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the pointer of the mouse to the top and then click settings. Click on Options. Here, you can adjust the settings for each option.

As I m not wrong there, you should be able activate the microphone on or off.
Finally if you want to use this microphone, you must set its default value in the sound? recording device tab.

  • Pavilion g7t-1100: Internal Microphone does not work do not on HP Pavilion g7t-1100 after winning 10 update

Can someone (1) confirm that this model of laptop computer has an internal microphone and (2) say how to operate?

    Story:

I've had this laptop for several years with Win 7 64 bit, recently upgraded to win 10 64-bit edition.  When you run Windows 7, I've certainly used an external microphone with the Jack, but I'm not sure I've ever used the internal mic.  Yesterday I tried to use Skype and couldn't get the microphone to work (I don't have an external mike where I am now).  Started trying to analyze and the only peripheral record listed in the recording of the sound control Panel tab is "Stereo Mix, IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" - don't know if this applies to the internal mic.  Speaking to, or by tapping on the hole of the microphone above the display caused no response at all in the level to the right of the window bars.

Began to doubt that I have an internal mike, so looked up specifications.  On http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02910495, I found "Webcam with integrated digital Microphone (VGA)", which led me to go on webcam integrated under imaging devices.  Still no final confirmation that I have a mike internal, but I found a laptop computer with mike identified next to the webcam image, this corresponds to my laptop, so I really think that the material is there.

I used Device Manager to check the updates for the device webcam (HP Webcam-101), and he says that the drivers are up to date.  I did the same thing for the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC, also updated.  I think that the drivers have been updated when I upgraded to win 10 in February.

That's it - information or suggestions are welcome.

    Hi there @BruceBon,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! I read your message on the HP Support Forums and see that you are having problems with the microphone on your HP Pavilion g7t-1100 CTO Notebook PC.

The reason why you can't find loads or User Guides/Manuals books appropriate because the model you have is a laptop CTO, this means it is customized/configured to order. Where did you get to buy your laptop?

When I went to the Service Guide and HP Pavilion G7 maintenance (generic), it shows an internal microphone located at the top of the LCD, but again, your laptop is a CTO model this is why there is no specification of final product because each of them can be customized.

You can try to look over some of the screenshots in the microphone troubleshooting document. There are a few sections of this document that you can try.

    Hello

Could you post a detailed laptop Satellite A100-xxx name?
It would be very interesting to know if the laptop supports an internal microphone or not.

To my knowledge, some of the A100 don t support the internal mic and that is why you should use the external mic

Try installing this driver: driver Audio IDT high definition (HD)

If this fails, try to use the HP Recovery Manager to roll back the driver installed in the factory.

I have a Latitude E6500 laptop, running Windows 7 and that's how I activated the internal microphone:

Panel--> Sound--> recording (tab on top)

In the rectangle showing all the microphones that are currently turned on, if you do not see the internal microphone (or Mic/Line In, etc.), click R to bring up the menu that gives you the option to display disconnected and device off and check both.  The internal MIC is displayed. R click on the rectangle and set it as the default device, and if you want to use it for Skype, Google Voice, etc. Set it as Default Communications Device.as well.

I don't know if it works on other Latitudes or with other Windows operating systems.
