  • Oracle Forms 10g Web question

    Hello
    Would appreciate advice on how to set up 4 paintings on my form.
    I want to do is to have a "research question" Web on the top 1/4 of the screen visible all the time.
    This canvas will be three buttons-defining the type of query that must be performed.
    __
    The 3 buttons will call a go_block to each block B2, B3 or B4 - each set with a different canvas.
    __
    Is it possible that I can have the appropriate Web pop up on bottom 3/4 of the screen?
    Essentially, I want to lock the top 1/4 of the screen, with an area of results on the rest.
    __
    Thank you
    Sandy

    Sandy,
    This could be achieved by using a content canvas (CC) as the main search (who would be the top 1/4 of the canvas). Each of the results (blocks 2, 3 and 4) can be displayed by using a stacked canvas (SC) (for each block of results) in the low 0 of the penal code. The built-in Go_Block partially controls the display of the correct SC, for navigating to an element in the block would cause the canvas, as the article is assigned to become visible. If you need to clear the results section, simply check if each of the SC program results are visible and hide them using the built-in function Hide_View.

    Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • Any Web browser, freezes Windows 7 x 64-Instant

    Hi, I have a problem with only Windows 7 x 64. When I open any application, such as Internet Explorer, FireFox, Opera or Netscape even, the rest of the computer is not responding, except the web browser that is currently open. It's very weird, as it happens when I open Windows Mail. I first thought that Internet Explorer has been the cause, so I installed Opera. Once I open it, the start menu button does not work, I can not access any application in the taskbar, nothing seems to be responding, except the web browser, which is running. Basically, if I want to go on the Internet, I can use the web browser until I close it, I can't use anything else. This isn't the Add-ons in Internet Explorer, because, as said, FireFox & Opera House is also. Even if just open the application, it immediately stops the computer. Anyone know why this is happening? I used Google & it seems that a lot of people know this... I even formatted my PC, the problem is to reproduce... After a certain time. It must be an application, but I can't seem to find out what... Oh, it happens also in safe mode, if I open a browser (not connected to internet). Any ideas?

    Hi Carel_Electronics-nightmare,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

    a. Since when are you facing this problem?

    Check that the firewall is not blocking the navigation software.

    For more information visit http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Understanding-Windows-Firewall-settings

    If this problem occurred recently then I suggest you do a system restore.

    Method 1:

    System Restore will take your computer state permeable when it did not face such a problem, this can be done by selecting the correct restore point.

    To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.

    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    4. click on finish.

    For more information visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936212/

    If the method above is not useful to solve your problem, then try the methods below.

    Method 2:

    Delete temporary internet files.

    1. open internet explore.

    2. click on the option tools in the menu bar, then select Internet Options.

    3. click on the general tab.

    4. under temporary Internet files, click Delete Cookies and delete files button.

    5. now click on the OK button.

    Method 3:

    Modem/Router power cycle.

    (1) turn off the power to the modem (unplug). If there is the router turn off the power (unplug).

    (2) unplug the Ethernet cable that connects the modem to the back of the computer or router on the back of the computer. Disconnect at the end of the computer. If there is a router, follow the same steps, disconnect at the end of the computer.

    (3) shuts down the computer (not restart).

    (4) wait at least 4 minutes.

    (5) switch on the modem. If there is a router enable the router as well. Wait for the lights on the modem\router to stabilize.

    (6) connect the Ethernet cable to the computer.

    (7) turn on the computer. Now, try to connect to the internet.

    Also to run a scan for virus/malware online on the computer.

    First go to your form's constructor. In the menu EDIT travel PREFERENCES can DURATION tab and set the location of the Web browser. Here, define the path of the executable file.

    And check out this link. Make Chrome default browser

    You have to
    1 compiling PL/SQL (Ctrl + Shift + K)
    2. compilation of Module (Ctrl + T)--> generates executable (fmx)
    3. Save (Ctrl + S)

    Now start OC4J instance and
    Open your browser, enter the url and at the end of the url, give the name of your form...

    before you run the form, is - this required first compile it

    No need to compile every time... If the module is already compiled and a fmx file is generated.

I had used TB along right but wanted to send a few photos and the default TB has not been recognized, though even I had used for a few months. Where discover the box the letters on TB has been verified not a made only of the disappearance of the problem. Tried the default Windows repeatedly route to nothing does not.

    OK, so your last post, it seems the widgets are the cause of the problem. Let's see if we can understand why:

    • Have you tried to create a NEW Widget of emptiness of Composition and which fill with new content?
    • Have you tried a full download instead of only changed files?
    • Also can you check with domain host that send you to the right directory, and whether or not they have made changes to the ftp upload?
    • When you export the site in HTML format instead of FTP download and compare the files that are generated in the HTML folder, they are identical to those published via FTP?

    If this does not help, it would be useful that you could provide us some screenshots of errors you are seeing, you use parameters of publication etc. (you can block-out user name and password for security reasons of course).

  • Is it possible to configure jpi_codebase to autodownload JRE for Oracle Forms 11.1.2.2.0 8?

    We are currently working with Oracle Forms and reports 11.1.2.2.0 (64-bit) using Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6 (64-bit) installed with the 64-bit JDK 1.7.0_40. Currently, we configure the YPI parameters (jpi_download_page, jpi_codebase, etc.) to use Java 7. Here is an excerpt from formsweb.cfg of that we deploy to end users to download a 7 Java JRE (Java 7u67 taking as an example):

    jpi_download_page = http://Java.Sun.com/products/archive/J2SE/7u67/index.html

    jpi_classid = clsid:CAFEEFAC-0017-0000-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA

    jpi_codebase = http://Java.Sun.com/update/1.7.0/jinstall-7u67-Windows-i586.cab#version=1, 7,0,67

    jpi_mimetype = application/x-java-applet

    NOTE: For the jpi_classid, we use clsid:CAFEEFAC-0017-0000-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA so that users can continue to use their currently installed Java JRE 7 without being forced to use a specific update to Java 7.

    As we know that update of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 8 5 or higher is supported with clients running an Oracle Forms application 11.1.2.2.0 inside their Web browsers supported by the Oracle for the 11.1.2.2.0 forms certification matrix (we are aware that the JDK 8 is not supported with 11.1.2.2.0 forms) found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/es/middleware/docs/oracle-forms-111220certmatrix-2087910.xls?ssSourceSiteId=otnen We want to be able to set up automatic downloading for JRE 8 using the parameters of YPI formsweb.cfg (or help 'EM under "Setting up the Web"). As we know in Internet Explorer, the URL in the jpi_codebase parameter is where it can find the .cab file for the automatic download of the JRE. Even if it works well for JRE 6 and 7 of the JRE, if we were to use the configuration settings following parameter changed to 8 JRE:

    jpi_download_page = http://Java.Sun.com/products/archive/J2SE/8u25/index.html

    jpi_classid = clsid:CAFEEFAC-0018-0000-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA

    jpi_codebase = http://java.sun.com/update/1.8.0/jinstall-8u25-windows-i586.cab#Version=1, 8,0,25

    jpi_mimetype = application/x-java-applet

    nothing happens in the browser launches the application Forms.

    Use the jpi_codebase setting, if we go directly to http://Java.Sun.com/update/1.8.0/jinstall-8u25-Windows-i586.cab to download the JRE, we get an error saying: "File not found."

    We went to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/autodownload-140472.html on the Oracle Web site, which explains the more information on the identification of the URL appropriate for auto-download of JRE, it only shows the URL for JRE 7u71 and 7u71 structure. We used this provision to JRE 8, but we get the "File not found" error when you use the URL directly.

    According to these results, someone happens to know if 8 JRE is currently available (or even supported) for automatic download by using the parameters of YPI in formsweb.cfg? We know that anyone can download the latest Java 7 or 8 Java JRE manually from Oracle, but it would be convenient if he could be auto-téléchargé if it is currently possible. It would be more a une question question for the forum Java or Java Runtime, let me know.

    Thank you

    Scott

    Scott, have you had a look at metalink? (always a good place to look if you have a proper support contract).

    Formsweb.cfg for JRE 1.8 Configuration settings (Doc ID 1926764.1)

    I can't replicate the whole doc here, but looks that the download page you are after is:

  • Reports that generate output Excel do not open under ie8/Oracle Forms

    Hello

    We run Oracle Forms (no matter whether under Jinitiator 1.3.1.22 (28) or SUN's JVM) and generate output Excel with Oracle Reports (web.show_document). This works well in Internet Explorer 6 (ie6), but not in Internet Explorer 8 (ie8).

    The effect is that a new browser window opens and closes very quickly, without anything more happening.

    Honestly, I guess it doesn't have to do with oracle reports, but ask this, however, in this forum, because it could be people who have made the same experiences...

    In addition, I discovered that the same problem exists when gerenating excel or ms word via a db (with http modules) procedure output. There, I found this deletion of the issue (open/save/cancel) before opening a file (via the menu windows Explorer file type association) helped with excel and ms word output (but this can be regarded as an unsatisfactory workaround).

    The problem persists with the types of applications other than XLS or DOC files that are also properly registered on the client.

    I'm not sure whether mimetypes sent as files (which were obviously OK with ie6) play a role in this problem.

    Peter

    Hello

    Your problem with IE 8 seems to be similar to the one discussed here:

    IE7 windows opens and closes immediately

    http://www.experts-exchange.com/software/Internet_Email/Web_Browsers/interne
    t_Explorer/Q_23304982.html

    You can test the suggested solution:

    We found the framework we needed, in the Internet Options
    Security tab, if you select the internet zone, then click Custom level
    button, then scroll down to the downloads section, the first option is
    Ask confirmation for file downloads, set this to allow Guard IE 7
    to interfere with this kind of download.
