• FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET & Redo Log advise in 10g Standard Edition

  Operating system: Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 Update 2 (64-bit)

  I tried to put the FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET in my 10.2.0.4 database Standard Edition. I would also like, as well as to the value set for recovery reasons, use the log Advisor again to determine the best size for my recovery logs.

  Oracle Support tells me that Fast-Start fault Recovery is not available in 10g Standard Edition so I'm unable to put FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET. I am confused because I have set in my iinstance 9i Standard edition and can adjust it.
  
  Anyone who encountered this? Is there one solution other than to manually adjust all parameters at the checkpoint?

  In 9i, there also not suppose to work for oneself
  Oracle either ignored the parameter or it's a bug does not detect is not the setting.
