Foglight for virtualization - Standard Edition - storage latency
Hello
I would like to know how to tell the difference between the latency of storage on different data warehouses - rather than having the same threshold at all.
The default settings suits us well on our warehouses of data production, but we have some data warehouses where 200ms is no problem and would like to have that reflected in foglight to avoid SPAM-alerts.
Best regards
Bjarke Emborg Kragelund
Hello
There are probably 2 ways to handle this, if it's that the first option will be faster to implement a large number of data warehouses:
1 change the rule and put a condition on the name of the store of data and comparison with a different value for data warehouses where this latency is different.
2. When you look at the rule condition there is usually some kind of variable, something like datastoreLatency.warning/critical/fatal or something similar. When you go to administration > manage registry variables, you can find your variable and edit and brought it. To have a different value for data warehouses where you want other Scope values
Press next and choose the right database and set a value for it
Hope this helps

The ASM option comes with Standard Edition Oracle 11 g R2 Install or not?
Hello
I just wanted to be sure before installing Oracle 11 g R2 software, if ASM (Automatic Storage Management) is available for the Standard edition or not?
Thank you for your help.
Ally.

tried to find this scanner for Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition software, but even now, I'm not find software scan.
Printer model: HP 3390 Laser jetI don't want the drivers. I mean the software. The drivers you get from the page server 2003 and the software from the page I referenced. Otherwise, you need to contact HP, as they provide that software, not Microsoft.

Hello
I couldn't understand how just after to the Foglight for virtualization forum, so I apologize for this post being in the wrong place.
I have the Foglight 7.0 Standard edition and I'm unable to see virtual machines on the hosts of a new vCenter Instance I added to Foglight.
I have enough licenses and the hosts appear in the inventory, but if you hover over one of the new hosts attribute 'State' reads "Not responding" and appear any of the virtual machines in the cluster.
Any ideas as to what could go wrong or what I would have been able to hurt?
Thanks in advance.

Ask the suggestion for the installation of oracle 12 c standard edition
Hi all
I try to install 12 c standard edition on linux 6 for the first time...
Could someone please suggest with the necessary steps to proceed.
creation of user Linux, installation of the rpm, then installing the software...
any suggestion expertise is much appreciated...
Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Asking how to "get" oracle-RDBMS-server-12cR1-preinstall is not really logical. If you have a standard installation on the server to the latest version of Oracle Linux 6 update, all you have to do is:
# yum install oracle-RDBMS-server-12cR1-preinstall
RPM requires the configuration of standard yum string (oracle public yum) and the core Oracle UEK. Yet once again, the package does not contain software, but triggers the installation of the software based on the yum dependency checking.

Hi, I've been reading place on it for a few hours and would like to get confirmation here. I have
-a physical host: dual processor, 8 cores per processor
-multiple licenses VSphere 5.0 Standard edition
-VCenter 5.0 Enterprise Edition
I want to distribute the VM with 12 vCPU and I expect to consume two licenses Standard Edition - one for each CPU, for a total of 12 vCPU. When I try to do using VCenter I get error "virtual machine has 12 virtual processors, but the host only supports 8.» "The number of virtual processors can be limited by the OS selected for the guest virtual computer or licensing for the host."
I think that it is a license restriction because on the same host, the VSphere evaluation has authorized the deployment of a 12 virtual machine using RHEL 6.3 vCPU. I checked later vCPU on evaluation copy function and it was 32 channels for it proves that it is not a BONE or a physical problem. I think I downloaded an evaluation of the 'norm' rather 'Enterprise', but I am not sure.
I read compare VMware vSphere editions and the 'Standard' column has CPU line: "CPU 1" and line vCPU: '8 - way '. This makes me think that, for each new license, I should have a CPU with up to 8 cores. that is by consuming two licenses, I use 2 CPU and up to 16 cores.
I also read the EULA VMware multi-core pricing and Licensing Policy , and he said:
Software licenses with six (6) cores per processor
It does not say "with hearts of six (6) software licenses by host '
The following excerpt from the EULA is the only evidence that I could find to support the conclusion that for Standard Edition, the maximum number of vCPU for each host is 8 (regardless of the number of licenses consumed);
Combines VMware licenses on a single host software. Licensing policy allows combining the even on software licenses uniprocessor.Someone can confirm the limitation and is there something obvious that I missed to compare VMware vSphere editions. The difference between host and per processor is huge, I'm surprised that it is ambiguous.
Thank you
Diarmuid
Looking at this picture, it is said that you need 1 VMware Standard license per physical processor that your host has. Down the chart to the vCPU, who said that a VM can have at most 8 vCPUs (for Standard). Isn't 8 vCPUs per license, which is 8 vCPUs total.
The demo version is licensed Enterprise Plus and develops of vCPU 32 on a virtual machine.

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Windows. I replaced my PC with a Mac. I need a download link for the Mac version of Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. I am only to find a link for the Pro edition.
Your license will work for the Windows version and it is too old to qualify for a swap of platform (I don't know if it is a Mac version of standard far in the back - I think that there is for Windows).

Difference between Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition for Oracle RAC
Hello
In our current configuration we have CARS on standard edition and customer is now considering to go to Enterprise Edition, but not yet to decide because of the cost.
Is there a difference between the Infrastructure of grid 11gR 3 Enterprise edition and Standard Edition?
They told me first install Enterprise Edition and then will move to Standard Edition if they can not get the EA license, so in this case do I have to re - install standard edition network infrastructure?
Kind regards

Hello
There is no "grid Infrastructure 11gR 3 Enterprise edition and Standard Edition", is the only Infrastructure of grid 11 GR 2.
On the Oracle Clusterware licenses (grid Infrastructure).
At least one of the servers in the cluster is allowed for the Oracle database (SE1, SE or EE)
A cluster is defined to include all machines that share the same Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR) and the drive to vote.
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/license.112/e10594/editions.htm#CJAHFHBJOn the licensing database.
http://www.Oracle.com/us/products/database/Enterprise-Edition/comparisons/index.htmlNote: Oracle Real Application Clusters (Oracle RAC), is an option to Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition and included with Oracle Database 11 g Standard Edition (on clusters with a maximum of 4 Sockets).
If you move to EA Oracle, you must purchase a separate license to use the RAC optionRegarding the Installation:
Nothing changes on your current installation of Grid Infrastructure 11.2
Just install a new fresh install to choose EF of the Oracle (the current clusterware) database during installation. Configure services database from this new HOME of ORACLE. Change anything on the database of all the previous backup and used functionality remains unchanged. With the help of this new House Oracle new features are enabled to be used by your databases. On the Downgrade:

Which switch to index for the index bitmap in Oracle Standard Edition
Hello
I have to move from Oracle Enterprise edition to standard edition (oracle11g). As standard edition does not support bitmap indexes. But the current database which is an Enterprise edition a bitmap index a column-based date or varchar2 or column in a table. The tables have approximately 60000000 records. I would like to know what index go for bitmap index.
Kind regards
Vaibhav
Published by: Vaibhav on November 7, 2011 05:35The BTree index certainly can and are frequently used when values are not unique (e.g. are duplicated).
uniqueness isn't the issue. The relative number of distinct values (relative to the total number of lines) is important. An advantage of BitMap index BTree indexes, it's that BTree indexes can be composite - made up of multiple columns.
You can read the documentation on the index.
