Invalid endpoint vShiled license

Hi all, this is my first post ...

I hava a question and hope someone has solved a similar problem. I think that the solution is simple, but I can't understand it.

I've set up a small test environment:

1 host ESXi 4.1

1 windows VM 2003 std

1 VM Win2008r2

1 vShield virtual appliance manager 4.1

1 deep Security Virtual appliance (disabled for the moment)

The target is stable Trend Micro deep security before implementing it in the production servers and verify the impact in a structure running.

I have installed on the client machine to Win2008 vsphere, vcenter and registered vshield plugin successfully, but tab vshield-> status of endpoint that don't, I see that it is disabled because no license is present.

Well, I have the licenses that will be used in the production environment, but when I try to assign in the configuration already tab-> features-> edit-> license key I get the error "invalid license key: not found license file.

Anyone have / solved a similar problem?

Thanks to all in advance.

In my setup, this error is thrown when I get license wrong / incorrect.

If the license is correct--> the license details are shown as product, ability, etc. Expires. See the screenshot below.

Check if your license key is correct, or log a ticket with Jack support.

  • VPN & endpoint assessment

    Hi all

I had a question about the assessment of DAP & endpoint.

We are looking to replace our Pix with ASAs. One of the conditions will be a remote VPN access. We have about 25 people with the company issued laptops that need the ability to VPN in. We also have the need to support access providers to the network through "VPN tunnel" and another 25 users who need remote access that can be covered with the WebVPN.

My question is: how to identify my computers? I'm not a fob key - gen or something like that. Nor do I want to enter audit antivirus or something like that. I just want to put a water mark on the computer so I know that it's ours.

-If this is one of our computers, and they belong to right ad groups, then they have access to certain subnets.

-If it is not one of ours, but they belong

I'm looking at the IPS of the ASA version and to add licenses of SSL VPN.

Is advanced endpoint assesment licenses everything what I need? I have to add CIsco Secure Desktop licenses? Are office secure licenses included in the license of Advanced endpoint?

    Thank you

    Ben

HD > you can do a record check, registry check, or process of scanning through search of CSD host. This does not require the "Advanced Endpoint Assessment" license, but it requires the SSL Client full license (the license of essentials Anyconnect SSL does not support hostscan characteristics). Keep in mind, that the traditional IPSec RA client doesn't not matter what hostscan.

"- If this is one of our computers and they belong to right ad groups, then they get access to certain subnets."

HD > you can do this with simple authentication such as RADIUS or ldap. For example, you can configure an ldap attribute card to say when we receive an AD attribute (such as memberOf) we will give the user a specific group policy that exists on the ASA. Search for "asa ldap-group policy" on cisco.com and the first link of document should be the right one to give you further instructions on this matter.

"If this isn't one of us, but they belong"

HD > if a user does not match any ldap card install you as described above, the user has automatically the group policy by default on the connection profile. You can configure the group policy to be more limited or no access granted.

Your other option if you don't want to map ldap attribute, is to use DAP. Still, this does not require the "Advanced Endpoint Assessment" license, but if you need features hostscan (AV, FW, check, check reg file, etc.) it may require that the SSL Client full license (essentials Anyconnect SSL license does not support the features of hostscan). Also, even once, ipsec does not support all hostscan stuff (AV, FW, reg file check check, etc.), so the 'endpoint ID' see you in ASDM dap policy are out of bounds for IPSec, but the IPSec VPN can use the part of the politics of the dap's ' AAA' attribute to make a match. So you can still make it work with DAP if you wish.

If you have more questions about the config described I'd open a TAC case.

  • HP ENVY 700-210xt: how to reinstall after upgrade windows 10

I bought a HP ENVY 700 - 210xt delivered with Windows 8.1 and included a recovery for the same partition.  At one point last year, I used the free update of Microsoft to take the system up to 10 Windows.  As far as I know, it has no effect on the recovery partition.  Now, I met a hard drive problem, where the system will not start or recover.  My hypothesis is that I need to reinstall from scratch, but I have some problems.

    • If I order the HP recovery discs, they will be for Windows 8.1, but not my upgrade to Windows 10 invalidated the original license key?
    • If I get somehow 8.1 Windows reinstalled with the original key, can I still the free update me for Windows 10 of Microsoft?  I guess that their records show that I've already updated.
    • If I can't get this path to work, is there a direct way to return to Windows 10?  As part of the upgrade, I've never seen a new license key, but maybe it was and I never saw him.

    Thanks for any help!

I bought a 256GB SSD to go in my HP Envy 17 - j053ea with an existing 1 TB drive.

Is invalidated my guaranteed license or windows if I install Windows 8.1 on the SSD and replace the existing 1 TB drive?

    Hello:

I can only answer to your first question.

The guarantee will be cancelled not if you install an SSD in your laptop.

But HP will not cover collateral damage you may cause by trying to install the hard drive, or they will support any guarantee for the SSD or the operating system that you are installing as a replacement for the original factory installed HP OS.

  • XP pro will not validate: upgrade Windows 7 tells me that I need a valid operating system to install

Can anyone shed a light on my dilemma please?

I have a legitimate Windows XP pro (OEM version), purchased copy in good faith of Amazon.co.uk in March 2005. Everything I've done is update the motherboard on several occasions. The drive never left my possession, but which would have been, I activated XP pro 20 times! This time around (Christmas) I've updated the motherboard once more and now I was rejected validation by Microsoft.

Yesterday (December 28), I received a phone call from Microsoft (possibly in India) informing me that they refuse to validate due to the fact that I broke the rules of my license.

I was told that I GOT to upgrade to Windows 7!

Reluctantly, it seems, I have no choice I'm not familiar with any other operating system.

The only problem is now, it seems that I am not authorized to upgrade to Windows 7, I have not an operating system valid in order to allow the upgrade to run?

Is this really the case? I buy the complete package as opposed to the upgrade?

    Can anyone help please?

    Dave :-(

Probably motherboard changes have invalidated your xp license. An OEM license is not transferable to a new motherboard.  (a new motherboard is considered a new computer)

You need a full commercial license in your situation. An upgrade license requires an activated license of qualification.
  • Migrate from XP to XP OEM MSDN

    Hello

I am a member of the ex-mdsn and was denied to my professional installation XP activation because I changed the name of my computer!

That's why I was told that I am no longer has right to the new product key. This means that I need to change my OS to a non-msdn version.

I don't mind the upgrade to Windows 7, but the XP update requires a custom installation which is not possible in my case because I can not connect to save the files (I backed up data files), but I guess that in this case the instructions refer to the installation files and probably register.

The machine is / was a machine development and a lot of SDKs and other tools of development also many configuration as on problems can imagine.

Anyone know of a way I can avoid installation from scratch and thus to avoid the re-installation and configuration of all other software (I'm bound to lose stuff that was not saved or entered manually the registry values).

    What should I do?

Of course if the Microsoft System invalidated not my license just to change the name of the machine or that they had a way of substitution of what seems a gap in their system, this would not have happened.

    Thank you.

  • T410 Win7 OEM SLP license invalid after installing a helmet

    Hi people,

After you have installed a Logitech headset on my Win7 T410 (2577 AF8) the machine wanted a surprising reboot.

After this restart, my windows license was declared invalid (error 0xC004F032).

Since this is an OEM SLP, I am quite sure, when I ask Microsoft, they say "ask to Lenovo.

Unfortunately, the box won't install the restore points... :-(

    Tips are greatly appreciated.

    Concerning

    Umbertones

No, they OEM keys are stored in a table in the BIOS and called only for the OEM media installation. If your system has been initially delivered Lenovo with Win 7 then it should also have a Windows COA sticker stuck on the basis or under the battery. If you do not see a COA sticker and then removed or the system was never delivered with a Windows license. In the latter scenario, the BIOS would not be programmed with a SLICE table containing OEM keys. Because you bought used, it is impossible to say why your system is the way it is currently.

Valid licenses almost never fall activation. What you described is logical given that the key entered originally was for a different system. Install a driver must have been enough to trigger a 'home' event to check activation. I'm surprised that it took two years. It's a lot of time!

Assuming that the system you're talking about here is the AF8-2537, you might try to get my hands on the original recovery Lenovo T410 Win 7 Pro's media. It looks like this model in particular originally comes with Win 7 Pro and so should operate using the original media. You will lose all your data and have to start over, however, so don't forget to back up data and important parameters.

  • I am trying to reinstall windows XP but when I enter my license key (from the label of origin on my computer) it tells me it is invalid

I need to reinstall windows XP an accident which can be the result of a virus.  I get the blue death creen when I try to start.  I do not have my original windows disks but borrowed one from a friend.  I am trying to reinstall windows XP but when I enter my license key (from the label of origin on my computer) it tells me it is invalid.  If I don't have my original windows CD how can I get resettled windows?

The borrowed XP CD is not the correct version of your product key. Since you have a label on the computer, or you have an OEM brand computer (Dell, HP, etc.) or on a generic computer built.

If you have a branded computer, contact the computer mftr. to get the recovery CD. otherwise you would need a XP install CD that was the same brand (Dell, HP). In these cases, the product key will not be registered during the installation process. The alternative is to use the product key on the COA sticker on the computer with a drive manufacturer OEM generic system. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
