T410 Win7 OEM SLP license invalid after installing a helmet

Hi people,

After you have installed a Logitech headset on my Win7 T410 (2577 AF8) the machine wanted a surprising reboot.

After this restart, my windows license was declared invalid (error 0xC004F032).

Since this is an OEM SLP, I am quite sure, when I ask Microsoft, they say "ask to Lenovo.

Unfortunately, the box won't install the restore points... :-(

Tips are greatly appreciated.

No, they OEM keys are stored in a table in the BIOS and called only for the OEM media installation. If your system has been initially delivered Lenovo with Win 7 then it should also have a Windows COA sticker stuck on the basis or under the battery. If you do not see a COA sticker and then removed or the system was never delivered with a Windows license. In the latter scenario, the BIOS would not be programmed with a SLICE table containing OEM keys. Because you bought used, it is impossible to say why your system is the way it is currently.

Valid licenses almost never fall activation. What you described is logical given that the key entered originally was for a different system. Install a driver must have been enough to trigger a 'home' event to check activation. I'm surprised that it took two years. It's a lot of time!

Assuming that the system you're talking about here is the AF8-2537, you might try to get my hands on the original recovery Lenovo T410 Win 7 Pro's media. It looks like this model in particular originally comes with Win 7 Pro and so should operate using the original media. You will lose all your data and have to start over, however, so don't forget to back up data and important parameters.

Hi, I believe that the seller must have used a version of Win7 OEM upgrade but wiped the original OS from the laptop.  I've been going round in circles with the supplier for weeks now nothing does.  They want to send back me the phone so that they can "Watch".

So I was wondering if I could sell my Vista Edition windows Home premium oem after a clean install of the professional Windows7 offered by ELMS. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    You can't sell it.

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.

  • WINDOWS 7 OEM SLP

I'm quite confused.  I bought an acer aspire 6920 from a friend who no longer wants to make foreign because it is old.  He did not leave me anything else (recovery disk, etc.) than the computer itself. I check the system information all matches the model number.  The certificate of authenticity Microsoft is almost clear, but I think I got still the product key and the part number of the product.  On the sticker, the part number of the product is X 14-39682.  I did a search there continues to flow upward under Vista Home Premium.  I went to properties system and watch Professional Service Pack 1 of Windows 7.  The system compares the model and below, it shows that it is authentic with the product id.  I downloaded an app on the web and was able to get the CD key and the product key.  However, the part number of the product has not much the COA sticker.  It says X 15-37377.  I downloaded Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool and said that the operating system is genuine OEM SLP.  I called a seller of part of Acer and told me that I can buy a recovery but disk for Vista Home Premium.  If I do, and if the computer breaks down then I'll be back to Vista Operating System.  What is the alternative way to return to Windows 7 just in case I have to reinstall.  I have bought a Windows 7 professional (retail) for my office.  I use it to reinstall the Windows 7 OEM by using the CD key that I've recovered from the laptop?  Help, please.

You buy a genuine Windows 7 license. The copy of Windows 7 Professional, you have installed is an OEM SLP license that should only be preloaded with a new PC. You seem to have installed a copy of Windows 7 Professional that uses an activation exploit that bypasses the product activation.

The problem is that if what you have now is Windows 7 OEM SLP, then its an illegal license.

Thus, you must either charge your version of Windows that came on your computer (Vista or XP) or consider purchasing a license of Windows 7 genuine.

  • Invalid license key after reinstall

    Hello

I have a Win7Pro machine that I bought a few weeks ago. The BONE has become corrupted and I reinstalled with a spare disk install Win 7 Pro, I had from another machine. I extracted the key of the machine and used for resettlement - it has been accepted and all seemed well. It was, after all, the same material and the same key. However, after some time to install the operating system began to say that this is not valid?

I guess that's because I used a Setup disk that was not initially associated with the key? Please tell us how I can remedy this.

  • doesn't have a HDD with Win7 OEM, which has been improved to win 10 - No Media - how to install the new SSD?

    Hi members of the community.

One of my colleagues brought me his personal computer to the difficulty.  It's a phone of 2011 which has Win 7 pre installed on it (OEM with a recovery partition).  It has no support for the version of Win 7 and she never bothered with the creation of recovery media or to order the installation media, but since its purchase, it has upgraded to Win 8, then 8.1 and finally Win10.

Problem, it is the disk HARD watch of major equipment failures and every time you start more errors appear that problems are cascade.  There is a recovery on the HARD drive partition, but windows has trouble starting, I fear that this recovery partition is useless, because we don't want the windows reinstalled on this faulty drive.

Can any advise if there is a way to install a windows OS on windows versions, that it has improved or the original win7 OEM supplied with the laptop without the media and with a damaged HARD drive?

The hard drive that is damaged is a 750 GB drive at 5400 RPM samsung - she bought a new 980 GB SSD sata III.  I have already confirmed the laptop can use Sata III - I have a true picture and was curious to know if I can clone the recovery partition (if its still viable) can I do it on the SSD and then force the recovery on the SSD drive?  or that violate the license for OEM?

Any advice would be appreciated, because I'm used to using volume licenses and I am new to OEM preinstalled OS damaged.

    Thank you very much

    ENO.

Because the system is currently registered and activated with 10 Windows, just download the Windows 10 edition which currently installed, and then perform a new installation.

  • Win7 OEM, new phones, I need new license?

I bought this copy of windows 7 OEM: https://www.komplett.no/microsoft-windows-7-home-premium-en/631913

After installation of this and has been used for a few years now, I decided to pass on my graphics card to the motherboard, cpu and power supply. What I have to buy a new license or is it possible to reuse it in the same case? It is the only computer that will be used, so I don't see how this can be a problem.

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

So, Yes, you will need a new license, some people have managed to reactivate the OEM System Builder License on new motherboards, but is not a guarantee.

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

  • Securing Win7-OEM-Partition to install Windows XP

    Hello
I recently bought the Ideapad S205 with processor AMD Fusion E - 350 and Win7 preinstalled.
After using Win7 for a few days, I realized that I neither need nor as this new OS. The good old WinXP fits my needs pretty good and I want to install it on the S205.

If I knew before that I wouldn't Win7, I would have bought the S205 without BONES. Now that I've spent more money on the S205 with Win7, I don't want to lose the files to install Win7 on the OEM partition.

Is there a way to save the Win7 OEM Partition on an external drive?
After saving outside, I wipe all drive 500 GB of the S205, make new partitions and install WinXP.

If (one day in the future), I want to go back to Win7, it will be possible to use the external drive as OEM Partition? Will be the function of the button One-Touch-recovery too, or should the OEM Partition on the HARD internal disk?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

    Alex

You can burn recovery discs if you have some internal or external dvd rom.
You can also use 3rd party applications such as norton ghost to create a copy of your hard disk image.

I installed Windows 7 64 bit, but after installing it turned out that the * Device Manager has no audio device *. I reinstalled the system, is now a Windows7 Ultimate x 86 license.

All options work, but the sound did not always appear. Installing the drivers doesn't help - * OS still does not see a sound card *. What could be the tools to solve the problem?

    Hi whooz,.

Is that what you have already installed the audio driver from Toshiba Web site? As far as I know Satellite U300 supports Windows 7 32 bit then an audio driver should be listed and works because readers are pre-tested by Toshiba.

But it is also important that you install the chipset driver and should be installed first. So start with installing the audio driver.

Also, try to load the default settings in the BIOS.

FN + b keys do not work after installing Win7 Ultimate (HP Envy 14 BEING) - not able to use the Beats speakers. The software updates that I have to install?

    Hi Jim,.

Open windows control panel, click the drop-down list box "view by" at the top right of the window and select "large icons" - you see an entry for Beats Audio in the list and if you do, it's actually launched if clicked?

  • Windows 8 OEM may be activated after re - install

I bought an OEM licensed for laptop HP ENVY TouchSmart J003tx with WIndows 8 a year back. Recently the OS has had some problems and I had to reinstall using the option refresh to Windows 8 providd.

However, when the operating system had been updated, it is said that the previous operating system license key cannot be used and it was blocked and asked to purchase a new license. After reading the forums, I found that this is a problem in WIndws 8 or BIOS where the key was stored.

Could someone help me how to solve this problem without buying a new license.

    Hello

For that matter just call the the HP Tech Support and ask for tier 2 support. They should be able to get resolved for you.

After Installing Win 7 on this CPU fan stop turning at all.

I've been try bios update didn't etc no efect.

    Any idea?

    Hello

    It's very strange.
Have you tried to reinstall Windows 7 again?
I recommend you to repeat the installation of the OS!

After installing Windows 7, you must install all the driver Win 7 and tools such as value-added package that is essential for Win 7

Last but not least go to BIOS (F2) and set it to default settings!
Save the changes and exit the BIOS

  • Satellite A500 - sounds/images of default system lost after installing Win7

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite A500 with Windows Vista and upgrade to Windows 7. After my installation of Windows 7, I lost all my icons of Toshiba and sounds, as silent image appears so hitting the button mute on the keyboard and the beep on hitting the sound up/down button.

Before installing, I took a backup of a file from Toshiba and tried to install apps from Toshiba in the TOSHIBA\TOSAPINS folder there. But still not get the default values of the system.

Would be very grateful if someone could help me to restore those back.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

I assume you mean on the menu that appears with the FN keys

Usually after installing Win 7, you must reinstall the VAP (value added package) and utility Support Flash Cards in order to get the keys FN working again.
You can download the two page from Toshiba Europe tools.

I m not very good if you get the same sound that was available under Vista as Win 7 takes care of the own system alerts/sounds.

But after the installation of VAP and Flash Cards Support utility, you should see the images that appear with the FN keys.

  • ISE license after installing newly

    Hi guys,.

We have a device running version 3355 1.1.1 ISE and the base license is already installed in it. For now, we want to transform the 1.2 version, but we have only completed installation 1.2 IOS, which means that we do not have the path to upgrade to version 1.2 of 1.1.x. I want to know if the license is lost when we freshly installed the full version of 1.2 instead of the upgrade. THX!

    Concerning

    Hello

I wasn't looking to ISE. With ACS (which I think the same thing), but when you perform a complete installation, you must provide the license file (same license of the old installation file), and then you restore the backup from the old to the new configuration.

So yes the license will be lost and you must add back to the new facility.
