  1. from Toshiba Assist (password utility) I put the supervisor with string (text boards) owner password and then I put the user with chain owner password. But during startup BIOS only prompt you for the user password and his Rosary of owner. User mode many BIOS options are disable including the HW installation option.

  2. when I click on Toshiba HWSetup, he invites supervisor password. But if I get the supervisor (not 100% sure) password, it says invalid password. I also tried to change the Toshiba supervisor password, password help utility but failed.

  You are right. If there is no possibility to remove the password, the service partner for this but it costs a bit.

  Otherwise I put t agree with you on the common problem on Satellite models, because it is a very serious thing and I really t think Toshiba may allow something like that to happen. If it's truth can you imagine what turbulence will be on the market, or perhaps to the press. I put t really believe in this theory.

  I have two virtual machines with Oracle 11 g 2 and one with Oracle 12 c installed on RHEL 6

  I wanted to install a dblink between the 2, but after you have created the dblink I get error: ORA - 01017 Invalid username/password

  Now, I know, the error is clear enough but when I try to connect using netmgr it works

  So just to summarize, Oracle 12 c, I'm trying to connect to Oracle 11 g using a DBLINK but I get ORA-01017

  Since Oracle 12 c, I created a new service so that I have the remote db alias in tnsname.ora and at the end of the process, when they ask for test connection, I can connect successfully to remote db

  Then I created a dblink according to the following:

  You will probably have to create the link without containing the user name and the word in double quotes.

  Do you mean that you update the column SPARE4 of $ USER (which is a table, not a view)? I don't think it will work, because the password is salted with a random string that will be different in the two databases. It might work if you return to the use of passwords for 10g, which are salty with the user name. See here, the 10 GB hash stored in the PASSWORD column is the same in the two databases, but the 11g in SPARE4 hash is different:

  I'm with some problems when you try to change an oracle user password. After using the alter command, it gives the message "Change user", but when I try to connect with, it throws the error ORA-01017...
  The strange part is... it works fine on my XE 11 g!

• problem with user password change request

  I'm about to ask a question that I don't have much info. I'm not experienced with oracle forms or States but one my customer use them, my client decided to change the user password request forms and did. After that, developers are looking for config files and change the passwords in files of that too. is the application works fine but has reports of problems. as I said, there are two ways to run reports, web and run_product. When the URL is used, reports work well, but in forms (fmb) screens when the run_product procedure is used, they received the error "name of username/password invalid.
  
  even if they change the password user return application, there always the same error. should consider what could be the possible error and what are the files? I know, that it is forms 6i application.

  If your customer base is 11G, this could be a problem with the passwords case-sensitive. Try to set a password with only UPPERCASE letters.

  I am using the application designer to connect to a database of the PS Financials 9.1 (2 levels). I use the default people/peop1e and VP1/VP1.
  When I try to connect with a customer of level 3, everything works fine, but when it connects directly to the database (Oracle 11 g 2) I get "Invalid User ID and password for the access code.
  I can connect as peple/peop1e via sqlplus and VP1 user is not locked.
  I also looked around to find that the re-run of the connect.sql and the grant.sql script could do the trick - not in this case unfortunately.
  
  There is a problem, I've observed and I don't know what the problem is when I run the script to grant the specified tables are not available for the 'people' to access:

  Could someone please confirm this behavior? The client alias must match the database SID for application designer you can connect to 2 levels... Thank you.

  The customer tnsnames.ora file must have an entry according not not the SID, but the DBNAME in table PSDBOWNER.
  It is one of the first test when a connection of two levels: "SELECT OWNERID OF THE PS. PSDBOWNER WHERE DBNAME =: 1 "(coincent: 1 étant la base de données nom dans l'écran de démarrage)."

  This means that it is already disabled. To check, from the command line, run the following:
  wsadmin - port NONE

  This will connect you to the websphere administration tool. Next type:
  securityoff

  This will stop the security that allows you to connect with any username and password. Restart WebSphere.

  From this point you must enable security. Follow these steps:
  -Once WebSphere returns upwards, connect with any what user name and password in the console of websphere.
  -Access security--> user records--> custom
  -Enter the user name "XELSYSADM" and then make sure to ignore case is marked
  -Enter the password xelsysadm for "Server User Password"
  -Click 'OK' and 'Save' in the master configuration.

  I don't have a console of websphere that I have, but this will allow security for the application again. Restart and see what happens.

  It can be two problems:
  1 error then dabase population (Analize setup of the population of the database logs) GOLD direct login to databases and to analyze the USERS cca admin schema table. If the user netadmin record exists?
  2. you set up bad jdbc have resources or enter wrong parameters to the Web.XML file TAW - general.war.

• Discoverer of office connections fails with invalid user/Pass name in r12

  Hi all;
  
  I have the problem. I can connect Discoverer Administrator to my localmachine, and I do not see what ppl it's there... But when I try it gives me connection Discoverer Desktop to my localmachine name of user/Pass not valid. error.
  
  I can not connect my system browser:
  
  http://xx.com:7778/discoverer/more < < pages comes and I filled in the blanks as district:
  Connect to: Oracle Application
  Username: sysadmin
  Pass: *.
  Data Base: SCREWS
  
  I found a document of forums. Which is:
  
  Discoverer is unable to connect to the Oracle Applications database: name of user and password invalid Doc ID: Note: 467919.1
  Discoverer 10 g (10.1.2) connect to Oracle E-Business Suite 12 fails with "Invalid Username/Password" Doc ID: Note: 443661.1
  
  But before I apply the patch I want to take advice from you. Coz I can connect Discoverer Administrator and can use it but cant login Discoverer Desktop... kind of weird... I already checked it that I made in the installtion and its all seems correct.

  If you have verified that all the steps, and all are OK, then please proceed and apply the patch. Make sure that you apply the appropriate fix (note: 467919.1) that corresponds to your version of discoverer.

  Hello

  before you move on to Sierra, to connect to my NAS, under Finder-> go-> connect to server, I used to type:

  AFP://user: password@server/share_name

  with no pop-up windows ' connect as '.

  Now, after the upgrade, after the command: afp://user: password@server, a "connect as" windows appears and it's annoying.

  Someone knows how to jump this window "connect as"?

  I think it has something to do with SMB being now the default connection for Sierra. I tried the syntax shown you and replaced "afp" with "smb", but still have the screen connect as . Even when you select the server in the left pane of the Finder, I always have to make a sign in as. It is used to remember how I connected and go immediately to the actions on the server, but no more. Always have to connect as.
