  When the laptop is turned on the screen colurs are reversed i.e. Blue becomes orange, white becomes black etc. sometimes it flickers in normal colors i.e. Blue shows as blue etc.

  I checked magnifers invert colors is not lit but when I turn it on the color switch reversed the normal colors of course. There is also a flickering vertical as all other vertical lines is missing or phases in and out.

  I started in safe mode to see if it is a driver problem, but the colors are reversed again, I booted into the BIOS and once again the colours are reversed and just to cover all the bases, I started a live Mint Linux DVD 17.1 and the legendary green of the distribution of currency was a pretty lilac. I also tried high i.e. contrast left SHIFT + left ALt + PRTSCN.

  My feeling is it's the monitor or the graphics chip and I cover more towards the monitor. Tomorrow I'll do a screengrab to see how that comes out and will also connect to an external monitor to see if the flicker and shimmer is always present.

  Whereas it is literally a month and 6 days to ensure bad enough, I would have liked a little more than a laptop seized started failing.

  Update from yesterday: I made a screengrab of HP using the tool cutting in windows 7, it shows the reverse color that is negative, I saved this screengrab on a USB key and it opens on my Mac, the picture shown correctly and not as a negative.

  It's the image that is displayed on the laptop, there is no inversion of color, no graphics settings are displayed not correctly resolved, I actually set all settings back to default values.

  

  It's the screengrab of the laptop because it displays from another computer, which in my case was my Mac. The screen seems to be display properly, so the image of screengrab below but for some reason, it displays a mirror - image his as an overlay on the screen.

  

  The inverter would be defective?

  Hi, this problem has been resolved by me, I just bit the bullet and took a gamble on the screen being faulty and successor, the laptop works very well and is displayed correctly.

  Check to see if you have a filter set with zoom. Settings > general > accessibility > Zoom > Zoom filter > No. -AJ

  If you want to save pictures with edits applied duplicate the photo before editing.  This way you can have an edited version and a version without.  Using 'Duplicate' in the 'Image' menu, or the combination of keys ⌘D.

  Please disable the GPU use in Lightroom > preferences. Uncheck "use graphics processor.

  Hi elweezo,

  Reversing black and white using the interface of scanning your PIXMA MP495 only is not supported.  To invert the colors, the issue will have to be scanned and then reversed using software such as Adboe Photoshop or Jasc Paint Shop Pro for image editing.

  Help, please.  On my Uk Microsoft wireless keyboard the inverted comma & @ keys are reversed, i.e. when I hit the key for the inverted commas I get & when I hit I get "."  How can I rectify this?  (I tried another keyboard & is the same thing!)

  Go to the Panel control, region, language, keyboards & languages, change keyboards, general tab, select United Kingdom keyboard or click Add... & first select it in the list.

  Then go to the Panel control, region, language, keyboards & languages, change keyboards, language bar tab and, if you regularly change language settings, make the hidden language bar.

  Then go to control panel, region, language, keyboards & languages, change keyboards, advanced settings tab key where you can see the key sequence of shortened which probably you entered this problem by chance.  You will also see the sequence of modifier keys that you want to change by clicking on the button sequence of modifier keys and by setting the input language switch & switch keyboard to not [when I changed them, I had to define not entitled for the switch input language and accept change, and then return to the dialog box to set no affect for the keyboard switch setting].

  Help, please! im running windows 7 ultimate, I have a hp pavillion centre office. support, and a very powerful graphics card. I pressed Ctrl + Shift + f11 and reversed my colors by accident (another program used same hotkeys) and my graphics card is now totally messed up. I did not buy this computer and hope that there is a way to get back to normal. ALL STRONGLY FREQUENTED HELP!  Right now my computer display looks like one since the beginning of the 1990s, that the color is not actually reversed, but I discovered that this is what happens when you press Ctrl + Shift + f11

  For me, command + SHIFT + F11 does nothing with the graphics.

  However even if I'm on Internet Explorer Ctrl + Maj + F11 takes me in Kiosk mode.

  Try the following and see if that helps.

  Method 1: It could happen if the theme is replaced with the base.

  Change the Aero theme and see if that helps.

  (a) right click on desktop, click Customize.

  (b) choose one of the themes, Aero themes

   

  Method 2: The graphics card uninstall and reinstall drivers and see if that helps.

  See the following steps:

   

  (a) click Start, right click on computer.

  (b) click on properties, click on Device Manager

  (c) expand the graphics card, right click on the adapter option

  (d) click on uninstall

  (e) now go to your computer / site Web of the manufacturer of the device, download the updated drivers and install them.

  Hi, I'm having the same problem as the same person who above. I tried to change to English UK for English in the United States, but the problem is still there. I saw on another forum someone suggested to change the key sequence:

  The language and keyboard are two separate settings.  Looks like you got the language passed correctly, so here's how to get the keyboard to match:

  1. Point to the right corner, drag from the right, or press Win + C to show the charms. But you open them, move forward one, click the spell research.
  2. Type set language and choose the result of 'language and region settings.
  3. Under languages, click on your language, and then click the Options button.
  4. Under keyboards, click Add a keyboard and add the United States keyboard layout.
  5. Delete the list UK keyboard layout.
  6. Quite.

• How to select text and be able to change the font without the text highlight color effect reverse?

  I remember being able to select the text with a certain shortcut would not show that it is actually highlighted, but it actually so, essentially the same function as selecting / highlighting just without the Visual indicator that it is highlighted / selected.

  You can change the font by selecting just different fonts in the menu drop-down of the character Panel. It will change the police without selecting text and giving you a reverse color effect.

I checked other browsers, and the question seems to be limited to firefox.

  I have tried every trick on this site that I think! I did im sure not high contrast, I chose themes different, supported all the way to 2008... IM on a computer laptop btw... I thought this may be a joke of office or something so I saw all the processes running in the search for something like "prank" or "reverse" but his jargon all out there and I don't want to go by closing the things I don't understand. as you can tell, im not computer savy. There was someone else on this forum who asked the same question... I tried everything that was suggested and so had it and we still have the same problem! I think to (someone told me) for the video driver to uninstall and reinstall, but I don't know anything about. How can I locate my video driver and once I click on "Uninstall" I how then reinstall? pls help!

  Hello Sisterseeth,

  Thank you for your message.  Uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver will be the best first step in getting this issue resolved.  Before you remove your video driver, you will need to make sure that the manufacturer of your computer has your driver available for download.  Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your computer and download/save the latest video driver for your computer.  Once you have saved this driver, you can proceed with the removal of the driver that is currently installed.  Below are the steps to remove:
  Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.
  Select Device Manager.
  Click the (+) sign next to "display adapters".
  Below, you should see your video card information, right-click on the video card and select "Properties".
  Select the "Driver" tab > click on "Uninstall" (this will remove the current driver)
  You restart the computer > when the computer restarts, install new drivers > restart and test.

• Alt key for the inverted color selector

  Hey guys. I'm in the middle of a painting in vogue at Photshop Cs6, on a Windows 10 laptop and while going to color choose something with the Alt key (I'm left-handed, then the button Alt RIGHT) I pressed another key accidentally and now my Alt keys are switched. The left key is now my color picker and the right key brings up a small black slider that says "Alt Gr".

  Whatever button I hit touched my keyboard completely realized. Holding shift on the quotations button will not press citations, but a symbol @.

  I really want to get back to normal as soon as possible. Thank you.

  OK - go a step further and under the set up sticky keys - uncheck all the options - and press 'Apply' and 'OK '.
