  It is the correct version number for 9.1.0.2. We don't have 9.1.0.2. written specifically for her. You have already upgraded GUY ;)

• IOM provides no default date though 1970-01-01 to the Java adapter

  We have improved IOM 9102 BP 13 to BP19.
  We discovered here that IOM is not to choose the default date value that is 1970-01-01 and passing null for java adapters.
  In the other environments BP13 is choosing the default date value and now after the upgradation of BP19 is not.
  
  Can you please tell us that where this default date value is defined or pointers that can help us solve this problem.

  It was a bug 9i of the IOM, which was resolved in 9i BP 17 IOM. See the bug number 10182130 in metalink or IOM BP 17 documentation. You must change your code if you have made customizations to make it work.

  What is the best strategy to reproduce an environment of 10 GB IOM existing for example IOM 9102 on Websphere with Oracle database.
  
  What may be different ways to achieve this.

  You can simply copy the files to the other server.

  (But you need a base installation of IOM in servers, it is therefore more easy first install IOM 'normally' and then do the copy of the files)

  Something that can cause problems is that the JMS queues are named after the application server nodes, so you must use the same node names in the two environments.

  From my experience, here's what I did.

  Installed the latest and OIM 11 g. Connectors assessed in the case of 11g and 10g instance and installed the longer version. Looked at the old requirements and made customization for connectors to meet them and add new feature that has been requested. I also did this to the source object and the user who is authoritative. We wrote a custom code to read the IOM 10g instance and create a recon event for each user in the new system to create the user. We have also rewritten entity adapters that were used in the new format as an event handler to process the user's changes.

  Once configured all the features, you can perform your recons against your systems target to bring all your data in, implement any other political access, group membership, fancy stuff all that. Alternatively, you can write custom code to watch all your memberships to a group in the old system and their doing the same thing in the new.

  Basically, it's recreate your instance of 10g to 11g.

  It's almost impossible. It is not on 9.1.0.2 for sure. Perhaps it has not entirely updated IOM. For confirmation of the upgrade, see logs.

  I'm on IOM 9102 + Websphere, I ran the patch_websphere and redeploy the .ear file. But now when I try to connect to the IOM, his throw invalid user authentication and I am not able to connect to the IOM. When I enter the password, its not taking the password and the cursor goes back to the user name text box.

  This means that it is already disabled. To check, from the command line, run the following:
  wsadmin - port NONE

  This will connect you to the websphere administration tool. Next type:
  securityoff

  This will stop the security that allows you to connect with any username and password. Restart WebSphere.

  From this point you must enable security. Follow these steps:
  -Once WebSphere returns upwards, connect with any what user name and password in the console of websphere.
  -Access security--> user records--> custom
  -Enter the user name "XELSYSADM" and then make sure to ignore case is marked
  -Enter the password xelsysadm for "Server User Password"
  -Click 'OK' and 'Save' in the master configuration.

  I don't have a console of websphere that I have, but this will allow security for the application again. Restart and see what happens.

• OIM9102_Upgrade

  I upgraded IOM 9101 to IOM 9102 and connected to the IOM database and verified XSD table and its upgrade patch 9102 . I copied all the files to IOM 9101 patch to upgrade and I copied the file from version also... .but when I checked by logging into Admin conole and clicked on HELP and version is not updated and still showing the IOM 9101 only... My app is Oracle Application Server... is possible to manually code the IOM version

• Customization of the interface user of IOM

  My client must customize IOM UI (10g - 9102) which includes the removal of common menu items and include pages customized to create/edit/remove a contractor and some other functions as well.
  
  What is the recommended approach to go by this requirement. Will make us the customization in IOM stylesheets or develop a separate user interface application and then plug it with IOM through the API. What effect this external user interface application will have while upgradation/patch of IOM.
