  I am very surprised and fewer still understand how the program license or the Cisco's IOS upgrades are done. I have several routers, switches & ASA who I wan upgrading of IOS, but I can't do it. How ever I can download these images on the internet, but I want to know how can I do this Cisco as I don't trust these IOS is available on the internet.

  According to my study I found that I need to have the number of Cisco Service contract for the devices so that I can download updated the IOS Images for them.

  Someone kindly explain what are the best methods for requirements above.

  You are right about a contract of service. Cisco calls this Smartnet support. It includes both supported hardware (i.e. returns for defective equipment), software support (including the right to download and upgrade your software) and technical assistance (through the Cisco TAC). SMARTnet is charged separately for each device covered. Once you have it, your cisco.com username must be associated with your service contract number. This will allow then allows you to download the software of cisco.com. (There are a few cases where you don't have to have a support contract - especially when there is a safety notice (PSIRT) indicating that the Cisco software was flawed it was released at the beginning.)

  Each product (or product family) has a product on cisco.com support page. This page includes release notes, Setup guide, user guides and links to downloads of software for this product. Start by reading the release notes and determine which (if any) update is appropriate for your product. Then, you can download and upgrade the software if necessary.

  We have introduced an application using DPS Enterprise and had this error. I saw on the forum that it came early this year and a fix has been released, so no reason for this again? We use the latest versions.

  Apple sometimes incorrectly reports apps with this error on review. There is no identifier advertising in use at the DPS. The dismissal of the appeal and tell them the app includes iOS identifier for advertising and ask them to check again.

  There are only two things you can do for your iPhone 4 s. using the current iOS located on the unit, or 9.3.3 the current iOS iOS. You can not 'find' or 'install' all other versions of iOS.

• Automatic configuration for routers, switches Catalyst and ASA backups

  I am looking for a free solution to make monthly backups of my routers (2821), Catalyst (X 3650, 3750-X) switches and ASA (5510). I'm in a Windows environment and have you not mind doing a bit of coding.

  I did some research looking at other popular solutions:

  -SNMP and a combination of Bash scripts, but that does not support switches Catalyst from what I've read.

  -Rance, on Linux & OS X, not something common in our environment

  -Tools of Tao kiwi, not free

  Is there something (or if applicable, somethings) that I am missing that will do this from a Windows environment for free?

  If you are looking for a centralized solution and you machine to act as a collector, rancid is really the best option (if you can allow non-windows machines).

  Now that blackberry launched BBM for users both android & iOs, they have a distinct advantage over native blackberry users. they do not need BIS to use BBM. It's kind of unfair to blackberry as android users users & iOs can use BBM on any single data plan, while BB users have a BIS data plan. cost wise it is a significant difference between regular & blackberry data plans data plans. Blackberry users have to spend on expensive BIS for BBM data plans, while android & iOs users can run on simple data without BIS plans.

• Re-use of iOS folios for ANDROID

  We launched successfully from a DPS publication via the iTunes Store, and now we're looking to make available for the Kindle Fire.

  I read everything I can find about "renditions" and others. It looks like I can reuse the folios, that we have created for the iPad, but I'm not clear on, is if need us a separate adobe for android folios ID. In other words, can I still use login credentials during the creation of the Android app that we used for the iOS app?

  If things I understand correctly, it looks like I can use the same ID for both platforms and have the new Android app are pointing to the same folios making the iOS app (as long as the res of the screen and the file format is compatible).

  Is this correct?

  You can use the same account ID if just what you plan to do is have the ipad folios displayed in Viewer Android. Note that with tools currently published, you must ensure that your iPad folios are in PNG or JPEG format for them appears properly in Android.

  I have an original iPad 5.1.1 running and have never had a problem with it. The old systems have their advantages.

• Problem with the new iPhone - iOS bad for the backup in the cloud

  Today, I received my new 6 iPhone.  When I try to configure the phone and download all my info to the cloud backup, I get an error message that says new phone is iOS 9.1 - backups from the old phone 6 (no longer works) are iOS 9.3.1 - so I'm stuck.  Happy to upgrade the software, but...

  Set up as a new phone. Do not restore the backup. Then update to iOS. After the update, delete it (settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings.) After the erase operation, restore the backup to iCloud.

  You cannot restore a backup made with a new version of the iOS on a device that is running an earlier version.
