iOS 9.2 deleted all my documents to iBooks

Just updated to iOS iOS9.2 8 on my iPad 2.

All PDF documents in my library iBooks has been removed.  Owners manuals.  Operating manuals. Training manuals. Everything has disappeared. With the iPad connected to my iMac that they were all grayed in the topic books of "on my device."

Any way to recover them?

If you updated via iTunes on your computer then made you produce > devices > transfer purchases before starting the update, and then do file > move iTunes books in the iBooks of your Mac application? Although they were not the iBookstore purchases which should have copied them so that the process of updating to iOS could their backup copy - none of your iTunes store downloads, or your own content in the iBooks, music and videos, are included in a backup, restore iTunes (update iOS through a computer in an update results (, backup and restore) will attempt to copy the computer iTunes / iBooks libraries.

If you have not them in the iBooks of your Mac application, you will need to re-download the their sites of origin

Now, all PDF documents are deleted. How to make a comeback?

That's several months of work that got to remove in one click without any warning!

The files are stored locally only

    Hello

When you uninstall any application (not only Acrobat DC) iOS, iOS (operating system) will clear all data (including preferences and documents in PDF format) that are associated with the application.

I'm sorry... but if you have not saved your documents before you uninstall, you will not be able to recover.

I highly recommend to save your documents on a regular basis to prevent accidental loss of data.

  • How to delete all messages in iOS 10

What happened to the 'TRASH ALL' button in the MAIL for ios10?    Maybe I MISS something that you guys can tell me?

    < published by host >

Here is a workaround until Apple restores the Select All - deletion in 10 iOS feature:

    1. open the Inbox that you want to delete all

    2. tap on edit (top-right)

    3. press to select any email (this will allow the move feature)

    4. press on and hold 'Move' (down in the Center)

5 now the 'Move', click to deselect the email from step 3 (you do this so all e-mails, not only the selected e-mail to move)

    6. release 'Move' (this will bring up a list of destinations to move your mail

    7. press on 'Trash' or 'Archive' to move all messages to the respective destination

It's complicated, but a workaround, however.

  • How to delete all emails at once with iOS 10?

I can't find an option to delete all the emails as there was in the iOS 9? Has anyone found how to do this?

No, it's not all delete until you have marked the message (s).

This option is too dangerous for everyday use, people make the mistake.

  • iOS 9.3.1 auto deletes all text messages

I recently updated my iPhone 5 16 GB iOS 9.3.1. It resulted in all messages of text being removed from the Messages app.

The phone was low on space so I thought that the problem could be due to a lack of space.

I also noticed that all the new text messages are deleted after a few hours.

I've now updated my phone to an iPhone SE 64 GB (which is also iOS 9.3.1).

However, all new text messages I get are always deleted after a few hours.

Also incoming messages creates all notifications even if the parameters see be OK

When upgrading to the new I restored a backup of the previous phone to iCloud

I checked the message parameters and 'Keep the Messages' is set to 'Forever '.

I also tried to disable iMessage, but this has no effect.

I can live with losing old text messages and there are a lot of tips online on extracting of backups.

However, I really need to fix this problem for all new messages

If this has been resolved? I have the same problem too. Just upgraded my wife 5 to 9.3.1 iOS iPhone (16GB) and all the old text messages have been deleted and new create notifications and deleted. All settings have been properly verified. I have hard to started, several times without a bit of luck. This is absolutely unacceptable.

  • iOS File.documentsDirectory: deleted when App in uninstalled?

I don't think that I can check it out without jailbreaking, which I'm not allowed to do.

On my test iPad app File.documentsDirectory seems to be a folder specially created for this application. It looks like this:

    / var/mobile/Applications/EB67921A-AB8F-E432J1C3E553/Documents /.

This is different from Windows, where File.documentsDirectory is:

    C:\Users\ < username > \Documents\

When you uninstall an app, makes the deleted directory application Documents? If so, are there situations where it wouldn't get deleted?

On iOS, there is no shared directory that can access all applications. That's why the document directory simply create its own directory in its local space. Since everything is local on iOS, your directory will be destroyed with the application.

On Android, the documentDirectory is the sd card and will not be deleted in your application.

  • Cannot open Firefox even after deleting all files and profiles of school boards.

My computer auto-installé the new Firefox version 40.0.2 (and later 40.0.3) and the browser does not open. It worked and I have not received any error message. I tried every fix I can find here, and even manually, I deleted all of my profiles, folders, program files, uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my computer, and it still not open. I click on the Firefox button in my bar tasks, the charging symbol goes for a few seconds, then more nothing. Firefox opens and runs without any problems on other computer on computer accounts. I even copied the files of Firefox to the another computer account on which it runs and replaced all files on the computer account that Firefox does not on, rebooted and still nothing. I've been dealing with this issue for over 2 weeks now and am very frustrated because I spent hours trying everything I can find.

This fix does not work either... tried previously and tried again. However I FINALLY got my Firefox to work on mine. I ended up finding a virus free online (ESET online scanner) scanner and do a full scan on my computer in order to remove anything that could cause a problem. I also went through all my computer programs and documents and cookies and temporary internet files and deleted everything which is not necessary or if it is no longer used. I thought it must be something else because Firefox has no problems with other users of the computer, and my original profile worked very well under other computer users when transferred manually. I think something was interfering with Firefox, which is why none of the fixes here worked because they targeted Firefox itself when it seems that it wasn't the problem.

You have restored your phone before that?

Have you checked that Apple music is disabled in the settings/music?

  • Satellite C50D-B-120: refresh your pc - it will delete all files

    Hello

I'm looking at a friends by Satellite C50D-B-120. It does not start. There OpenOffice files on it, but I don't know exactly where. If I try the "Refresh your PC" option troubleshooting it will delete all files?

    Thank you

    Matt

    Hi Matt

I found very interesting Toshiba technical support document in the Knowledge Base, and I think it might be useful to you.

    Windows Recovery 8 & repair
    APS2. Toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB2A03ES0000R01.htm

The 'Refresh' option is primarily a repair technique. It is a good method to return your PC to a known good state while preserving your files and a large part of your configuration. With the option "Refresh your PC", accounts of users, data files and some settings are retained on your PC without the need to create a backup or make choices about what to keep or delete.

This means that the data should not be affected by using the update your PC option.

  • delete all comments on a worksheet

I have more than 100 comments in my spreadsheet from 2015.  I want to use a copy of this worksheet for 2016 without any comments.  How can I delete all the comments?

    Thank you

    Hi Maggie,

Advance planning is the key here. The best way to have a comment-free (and data) copy of the document is to save one as a model, before adding data or comments.

At this point, you will be able to apply this method for the 2017 copies (and beyond) of this document, but for this end of the year, you may be stuck with manual removal.

In addition to the comment, what is the content of these cells? Is - this content will also be deleted in preparation for next year? Selection of a cell (one click) and pressing Delete will remove the cell contents (text, numbers or other data entered or formula) and the comment. Copy an empty cell, and then paste them into a group of cells should also remove the comments (and content) of these cells, but also replaces the parameters of any format with the copied cell pasted now. With "more than 100 (but probably less than 200) comments, manual removal (click on a cell or group of cells, press DELETE) can be a usable solution."

If there is a way to detect the presence of comments on a cell using AppleScript, it should also be possible to delete these comments using AppleScript, but it's a question for one of the participation of writers here.

Not much help, I'm afraid, but you can find something worth the trip here. If so, please test on a COPY of your file.

    Kind regards

    Barry
