IP address for windows update ranges

I need to set up my network firewall to allow update access directly to the servers.

My firwalls will accept only IP addresses and subnet routes, and all the details that I found while searching only gives the URL, including wildcards.  A call to tech support on the center of update solution received a "Search the site or pay for a call message" not useful.

Can someone give me please the IP address ranges of all of the servers used by update.  I'll be very grateful.

I would have thought that it was essential information that should not be difficult to find, but...?

Thanks in advance

Bill

Had the problem on the 25/06 reboot after the installation of update 7.6.7600.256 for Windows Update Agent (required system restore).

This (with duplicates) and subsequent updates are shown as successful in the history of the update, but shows always date of "updates have been installed" on the home window Windows Update like 13/06/2012 (previous updates) and updates later only the fix (KB981889) shows as available in the Uninstall list.

How will I know if the Windows Agent Update and other subsequent updates installed correctly?

  • Update for windows update does not work

Yesterday (24/06/2014), Microsoft has released an update for windows update, which according to them was necessary in order to receive new updates. It is installed without any problem, except that it doesn't work.

I tried the fixit tool, but who finds no errors. To make things worse, it seems that this update of windows installed another version of the update agent is suitable for my system (Windows 7 Home Premium). Windows support for this update site indicates that the correct version is Windows update agent 7.6.7600.256, but windows update version 7.6.7600.320 and you can see the result of the image as to what happens when I try to check the updates.

I prefer not to do a system restore, but how to fix this?

Is this the same issue corrected / posted by LoginBroken on February 23, 2011?

    Dave in pa,

    Do a system restore point.

Open Notepad. Copy the information between the lines, then paste them into Notepad

  • There's no need to change the settings for windows update on RT

    Hello

I can't find the option to change the settings for Windows Update on Surface with Win RT.

Many programs to connect to internet without attention users and consumes bandwidth so I limited firewall to block strategy, but the Microsoft Update or the Windows update service is not running.

Please suggest the creation of a rule of outgoing traffic in "Windows Firewall with advanced security" to allow Windows Update.

This is not a third-party firewall program.

This is a duplicate of http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/w/fw/7f9c04c1-5216-47d9-9de3-64cc19eb796d with an additional constraint of the firewall rule creation. Not a duplicate of the 2012 wire that was bound to win 7 and you are running 8.1 firewall should already have an update exception.  If it does not please a snip of the outbound rules in your next post.

When running Windows updates, you can hide updates of language so that they do not appear every time that you check the optional updates?

You can hide updates, you don't want to-

    1. click on view available updates
    2. right click on the update you want to hide
    3. click on hide the update
    4. confirm the UAC if necessary

Do this for each update, you do not want to install.
