IP cost configuration

Helllo,

We want to pay users for issues of intellectual property they want to buy, but I don't see a way to configure this cost, which varies according to the number of purchased points.

If I configure in fixed cost it doesn't need me to set the number of IP addresses. And it is a part of computing resources.

Thank you.

Hi Savita,

If I understand correctly, your case of use here is to charge the number of addressed external IP address configured on a network. Also, you want to charge for purchased IP addresses, and not know if they were in the habit or not, i.e. If the transfer of certain data was on it or not.

CBM could not support this use of the box case. This is because the GAC syncs all the data on the external IP configured on a network. That said, probably one of the following workarounds can be used:

(1) in the GAC, a custom counter can be created for IP addressed. The usage data for each network (i.e., purchased IP addresses) must be supplied in BC using the API of CBM and defined on the custom counter. Fees can be set on this counter custom, based on this use.

(2) DC VSM in CBM synchronizes external traffic by IP address for each network. Thus, an entity is created in the GAC for all IP addresses used. Therefore an another workaround may be to define a load on account of the "IP addresses" of the types of entities on the network. This can be done using the API of CBM. However, please note that this charge for IP addresses that get used and not purchased but unused IP addresses.

Let me know if you need more details.

Thank you

Piyush

You need to tell us a few things.

1 do you have TC as the only router in the network.

If this is not the case, the configuration is entirely via the main modem router combo.

Without a public IP address on the interface wan everything that is your router, you will not be able to access it remotely. For the most part, wireless, satellite or internet shared building will not allow always remote access.

    2. double NAT will never work, so if you already have another router modem the TC must be in the bridge.

3 Apple offers NO WAY for PC/windows remote access to the TC. Neither iOS btw... the Apple of the only method allows is AFP via a Mac.

Local people do via SMB to TC port mapping... It is poor and does not always work.

The tool used for iOS, filebrowser shows how this is possible.

    http://www.Stratospherix.com/support/gsw_timecapsule.php?page=6Remote

I do not recommend this somehow... It's open ports in a way that reduces your security seriously.

I repeat... Apple has no PC access.

    4. There is a safe way to do it... buy a vpn router and use before the TC. VPN is recognized global method for secure remote access. Who will work for any device having vpn client available... OpenVPN is the easiest in terms of cost, configuration and security.

    5. There is another method entirely, and that is to store the files you need to join in the cloud... Cloud is a better resource than to use your own router as Pseudo-nuage.

If you eliminate the need for PC access then use BTMM for access to the TC.

CCMM is authorized only and only the Apple method which are likely to work.

    Have you even tried yet?

See Tesserax doco on remote access.

I work in a company that doesn't use vmware.  I do not have the budget for purchases of vmware products.

I would like to win a vmware cert.  After that I took a class, I'll have nothing to practice.

So, how important is experience "practice"?  Are there options for me - like versions of demonstration or licenses for schools?  Any ideas?

    Thanks, - dog

Laboratory experience is very very important. During the course, you will have many laboratories, but you have to repeat and return again later.

You can use Workstation to run a virtual environment with vSphere (but you need a lot of resources).

Or you can find some 'low cost' configuration on whitebox (http://www.vm-help.com).

I suggest also that your company become partner VMware for the NFR license and access to the network partner (which also contain a lot of training material).

  • Buy a custom configuration of Satellite P300 online?

    Hello world

I have a question. I bought the laptop Toshiba Satellite P100-260 3 years ago. Recently, it was covered with water and it costs a lot to fix.
I also had a windows XP media center on it.

The question is: can I buy a custom Satellite without Windows and the memory of the device model?

I saw at www.toshiba.com is it low to order a custom configuration of Satellite P300, but it seems to work in the United States, but I live in Europe (Estonia).
Is it possible to order the Satellite P300 with configuration custom in Estonia?

You mean you want to buy the Satellite P300 without preinstalled Windows operating system and RAM?

Boyfriend sorry but I don t think it would be possible

Of course, I've seen some Satellite laptops which are supplied without operating system preinstalled, but this does not apply to all series. In addition all laptops are equipped with RAM and other internal devices

  • Configuration to an AEBS (A1034)

    Hi there, MANY people

First of all, details a bit of background, bear with me for a minute or two.

I have an iBook SE (PowerBook2, 2) with a map AirPort (802 11b) running Mac OS X 10.4.11 and this computer is used as a print/host for an Apple LW 4/600 PS the customer server is a MacMini (Macmini4, 1) running Mac OS X 10.6.8. This configuration is connected with each other via an Ethernet hub with the LW 4/600 PS using an Ethernet/LocalTalk bridge. Installation of Server & client host/printing works great!

I could not connect the iBook via Wi - Fi with my router WPA security protocol (Tenda: FH1201/AC1200) that is configured with WPA/WPA2 security protocol.

I use the router (Tenda) for the MacMini via Wi - Fi (5 GHz) and a number of devices on the 2.4 GHz band.

The distance between the Ethernet hub to the router is more than 50 feet and a cable to connect to the router would be run through several rooms of heavy traffic. That's why I use a WiFi for the MacMini.

Now with all this on the table, on the AEBS (A1034) for the iBook SE with the Airport (WPA security protocol).

Adding the AEBS to the mix, the reason is that I am hoping to do the server host/print a "virtual" AirPrint printer

I did add-ons/software research (Printopia) for the host print server, but this will of software is NOT running on 10.4.11.

I was able to connect to the AEBS via Ethernet to the Ethernet hub with the MacMini acting as source for the configuration of the AEBS.

Can I use the iBook SE instead of the MacMini as a source for the AEBS configuration?

No matter what port Ethernet (WAN or LAN) I try to use in the AEBS configuration?

Can I configure the stand-alone AEBS without having Internet access via Ethernet?

Can I use the AEBS bridge/gateway for my router existing via Wi - FI without an Ethernet cable?

My original idea was to have the AEBS piggy back off my router via Ethernet (router: LAN;) AEBS: WAN or LAN?) and the iBook connect to the AEBS to access the Internet.

The utility (5.6.1) AirPort & AirPort Extreme Firmware Updater (5.7) on the MacMini 'see' the AEBS, but I keep getting errors trying to do something with the AEBS.

The reset button on the AEBS has been used, with a short & longer duration as suggested by the documentation/manual. Yet, no SOAP!

I took a number of screenshots showing the results of the AirPort Utility & AirPort Extreme Firmware Updater.

Maybe these screenshots may help many people to try to understand what is happening with my AEBS?

I'm a little confused @ this point what to do next!

The first few images come from (5.6.1) AirPort Utility

    Trying to update Firmware

Click the mouse right button on the left pane

The next screenshots are from AirPort Extreme Firmware Updater (5,7)

Any insight/input/info would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time, James

Mixture of old and new, it's always an interesting area for the frustration.

    I have an iBook SE (PowerBook2, 2) with an AirPort card (802. 11 (b) running Mac OS X 10.4.11

First of all... There is a good chance that a B wireless card will not work with WEP security. It's really a bad risk for the security of your network... Should you run wireless... the ibook has ethernet port? If so, buy a second A1034 Airport extreme... you should be able to get them on ebay for a few dollars... You can then an AE plug on the main router of Tenda... and the other in the ibook as well as a WDS connection between them... I did and it works very well with total security.

Can I use the iBook SE instead of the MacMini as a source for the AEBS configuration?

The computer must have internet access to download the firmware... as well as plug in the AEBS... then, either you double NAT through the AEBS to the main router... or you install ethernet with static IP address and to use the main router wireless... However do you... Make sure that the computer has full to the AEBS and internet access.

No matter what port Ethernet (WAN or LAN) I try to use in the AEBS configuration?

    Use LAN

Can I configure the stand-alone AEBS without having Internet access via Ethernet?

No, if you want that it part of the configuration to run at the printer. It must be part of the network and therefore has internet connection... but it is filled so effectively as a part of your local network.

Can I use the AEBS bridge/gateway for my router existing via Wi - FI without an Ethernet cable?

In theory it's possible... in practice, no.... unless you do what I suggested at the start and get a second A1034 to ebay for example... they should only cost a few dollars. It must be connected by ethernet and the other can then connect to the first by wireless... It is a viable way to work.

Do someone know the trade off between settings of bo?

    Thanks for your suggestions

    Hi Bolivar,

With regard to the transmission continues in a loop, I think it could help you to make a small piece of transmission over until you actually begin the continuous transmission immediately in a loop. The reasoning being that small initial transmission could help boot to the top of the Tx buffer and prevent cost overruns due the USRP device waiting for data and do not get it.

With regard to the relationship between the right size for a given frequency of IQ, I do not have a precise answer at this stage.

    Thanks and good luck.

  • How to configure a lab overlooking tubular heat exchanger to get data

    HiI

In our undergraduate engineering chemical labboratory we want to configure our DAq with lab VIEW tubular heat exchanger to get information on the temperature (flow cold fluid warms up), (the steam pressure on the side of the hull of the heat exchanger) and flow (water warms up).

Can anyone suggest thermocouples, pressure transducers, and flow meters to stay between the heat exchanger and the acquisition of data?

P.S. the heat exchanger is already equipped with a pressure gauge, thermometers and a rotameter, but we do not know how to connect these devices to data acquisition

Looks like you have enough information to choose appropriate sensors, you just need to do the research. I start looking into Omega catalogue, or give them a call - they are generally useful. I can't take the time to spec parts for you - it would be a lot of time on another project. Most pressure sensors put a signal 4-20mA or 0 - 5V, that is which you can read through an analog input on a data acquisition; measure a 4-20mA signal requires a resistance to convert voltage. Most NI DAQ boards can read a thermocouple on an analog input, but make sure that your hardware is supported reading thermocouples. For an accurate reading, use a device that has the compensation of cold welding integrated - for example, the block connection SCB-68 - and for more accurate measurements, get a Board specifically designed to measure the temperature.

For measurement of the flow, a standard, simple solution is an orifice plate. You put a transducer for differential pressure across it, seek the appropriate equations and use them to calculate the flow rate given the density of the fluid (which you will be able to calculate from the pressure and the temperature, since the steam tables are widely available). Other differential pressure devices are available as well - at a previous job, we used a double cone of McCrometer. If you call them, they spec for you - but get an approximate cost first to make sure it's in your budget.

  • Configuration of dv6 6123cl memory

Have a Dv6 6123 cl with Windows 7 64 bit.  I will boost the RAM a little. This computer has a 4 and a chip to 2 gb in the two slots available for a total of 6 GB configured out of the factory. I confess to being a little confused because I thought that mixed chips was a strict no-no.  Don't think?  Is why I have a few questions because I do not need or want to pay to improve the full 16 GB/kit game and wonder if 8 GB so will make a significant difference. I don't play but use Indesign a lot and have often 3-4 very large programs open in use at the same time.

    1. have - I have only the unique opportunity to go up to 8 GB? (if no 16)

    2. If I go to 8 GB can I keep the chip 4 gb into it and buy and add a 4 with the same speed and size or should I replace both with a kit of 8 GB?

    3. If I wanted to be really creative - could I keep the 4 and add a plug of 8 to 12 - a little too much, but a good compromise?

In other words, HP seems to have mixed and matched in a way that I'm not used to it. Can I do - or y at - it something strict owner on the Dv6 I need to know? Thank you.

    Hi, Mikey:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02842252.PDF

According to me, the page of specifications of product for your laptop won't work.

In accordance with Chapter 1, page 6, computers laptops with AMD processors as yours, can take a maximum of 2 x 4 GB of memory.  It is a part of the Intel base DV6 covered in this manual which can take 16 GB of memory.

So, I would not take a chance that a module of 8 GB will work.

Now to answer some of your other concerns:

    1. Yes, you can mix memory but it does not work in DDR mode.

So now that we have discovered that your laptop can have only 8 GB of memory, the decision for you now become much easier...

Buy a 4 GB module and now you get 8 GB and the mode of DDR.

You should see a small improvement.

Cost of a compatible 4 GB chip is well worth.

  • Updates configuration error

Installed upgrading Windows 7 from Vista and things cost very well the first day. The second day when I had enough, there were 20 updates important and 4 not if important, so I let it update and went. I forgot and came back the next day and the screensaver didn't work so I moved the mouse and set up the office and Windows Explorer was in a State of continuous failure / restart. I reboot and it tries to configure all of the updates and starts then a loop continues to failure to configure, and then restart. Pop in my installation disk and I use system restore to revert to the State I was in before the 24 updates. When done using the system, it was of course 24 updates, he wanted to install again, so I clicked on the install/off button and let it do it's thing. Returned the next night and turned on the computer and went into a loop again where it would fail on configure then try again and then finally to restart and it all over again. If this continues, I'll have to back up files that I want to keep and do a fresh install. Anyone knows what is the cause?

I tried to install updates in smaller batches until I read your post and it did take! However, after a day that began to Windows Explorer, it is small market to stop and restart. At this point, I decided just to copy the files and what I needed on DVD and do a clean install of Windows 7. So far the only thing that I miss is the calendar which has been included in the work, as I did my training courses there. I didn't have a lot of programs installed on Vista, and I had to reinstall that a certain number of times. I got my antivirus disabled during the installation of 7, but I still wonder if she was causing a conflict after 7 has been installed. In any case, I appreciate your trying to help, but I think that the new installation is probably the best option. Take care!

Thank you for taking the time to make this post very informative, excellent. Without the machine test myself that I can't be sure, but based on the age of the computer and what you wrote I suspect for lack of material. It could be something simple like the hard drive or RAM or something more serious like the motherboard. I wouldn't recommend replacing any material on such an old laptop.

As long as the hard disk has been physically, you can recover your data easily. If the hard drive has failed, then you will need to send the drive to a professional drive savers data recovery company. It is quite expensive ($500-3700), but they can usually recover your data. Some insurance policies cover also, professional data recovery in order to check with yours. But let's be optimistic. ;-)

IMPORTANT - If there is no question that the drive is at fault - there are noises, for example - and the data is crucial NOTHING else ON THE DISC. Whenever launch you this player you can destroy data. If this is the case, send the drive to a professional data recovery company.

I'll give you the information on how to test the hard drive to see if it's good physically and how to recover data when you can't in Windows but in doing these things requires a certain level of computer skills. You know yourself the best and that it would be better to take the laptop to a competent local professional. If you do this, do not use a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place. Get recommendations from family, friends and colleagues.

    A. test equipment

Test the hard drive with a diagnostic utility downloaded from site of the disc mftr. or use SeaTools for BACK of Seagate. You create a bootable CD with the files you download. You will need a third party burning software to do as the free ImgBurn, Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data.

    http://www.ImgBurn.com

    http://www.Seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/SeaTools/seatooldreg
    http://Seagate.custkb.com/Seagate/CRM/selfservice/search.jsp?docid=201271 (how-to)

Boot with the CD that you have done and do a full test of the reader. You will probably need to change the boot order. Your Dell can give you a temporary boot menu if you press F12 as the computer starts. If so, use your arrow key to select the CD drive. Otherwise, press F2 to enter in Setup (BIOS) and change the order of boot on the CD drive first. If the disk fails all physical tests, it must be replaced. Although readers of the laptop cost around $60, you should really consider if it is to put money in such an old machine. You can replace the disk, but the laptop is definitely at the end of its normal life and something else is doomed to failure.

There is information about the RAM test and other materials here:

    B. retrieve data detach a healthy disk when you are unable to Windows

1 remove the drive and put it in a box of USB drive or use a USB adapter. Attach it to a computer that is running a working XP/Vista/Windows7 installation. Use the work of Windows Explorer to copy the data to the hard drive of the system to the rescue and burn data on cd or dvd.

    2. you can start the target computer with a Bart PE (if you use XP) or a Linux live CD like Knoppix and retrieve the data in this way. General information about the use of Knoppix for this are:

You will need a computer with two cd records, which is an engraver of CD/DVD OR a USB stick with a capacity to hold your data OR an external USB hard disk formatted FAT32 (not NTFS) *. Download Knoppix .iso image file and create your bootable CD. If you do this in a previous (XP or Vista) operating system, you will need the third burning like Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn software (Windows 7 can burn .isos natively). Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Then boot with the CD that you created, and Knoppix will be able to see the files in Windows. If you use the USB key or an external hard disk, right-click on its icon (on the desktop) to get its properties and uncheck "read only". Then click on it to open it. Note that the mouse action by default in the window manager used by Knoppix (KDE) is a simple click to open instead of double-click traditional MS Windows. If you want to burn CD/DVDs, use the K3b program.

    * My understanding is that you can now write on NTFS from Linux partition. If you wish to do this, Google for instructions on the use of the NTFS driver.
