IP unknown 'show interface authentication session '.

We currently use 802. 1 x with EAP - TLS based machine authenctication and each example cisco has the IP address when you place an order show authentication session interface. Our of appears as unknown for the IP address. Authenticate us through ACS 4.0 and I can't find anything on how to cisco for that switch to retrieve the IP address. Is this a configuration problem or is there a function that we do not?

Hello

try running the command switch (config) #ip - analysis of device

I assume that the user is authenticated.

hope this helps

  • I just installed Firefox V8. I'm looking for the indicator which shows that my session is secure, when I go on a site known to make a payment online. Where this indicator?

It is always used to be an indicator at the bottom of the screen (I think) that looked like a small lock, to show that you were in a secure session. What happened in Firefox V8?

    Credit Safebrowser

Therefore, the lock is more part of Firefox; It has been removed from Firefox 4. The padlock shows that there is a secure connection, but does not provide any additional information. You could make a typographical error, and have always been connected to a secure connection. The lock was replaced in Firefox 3 with the Site identity button. Familiarize yourself with the Site identity button at the left end of the address bar:

       https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/security/identity/
       https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Site+Identity+Button

You can install this module if you want:

  • DistributedMember is null in the implementation of the Interface Authenticator?

DistributedMember is null in the implementation of the authenticator Interface.

    http://www.gemstone.com/docs/current/product/docs/JAPI/com/gemstone/GemFire/security/authenticator.html

Main authenticate (Properties props, DistributedMember member)

Check the credentials provided in the properties for the client/peer such as specified in the Member ID and returns the main partner of the customer/peer

I'm trying to implement authentication. I DistributedMember object as null in the newspapers of Locator when counterpart try to join the distributed system.

Even if I take the method AuthenticationFailedException authenticate; my Member is still able to join the system of Distribuyed. It's somehow connected to locator * .dat file?

Messages processed on the thread "UDP incoming Message Handler" are messages of closure of the process itself.  I looked at the code that calls the authenticator and it always affects the null member ID in this case.  I don't know why, but it's what he does.  In addition, in this case it deals a membership VIEW and not a request to join the system.

You can safely ignore the requests with a null member ID.

The client authentication is not handled by the Locator well - it is managed by the cache servers when the client tries to connect to them.  Only process GemFire "peer" are authenticated by locators.

I hope this helps.  I shall notify the Department tech pubs on this subject so that they can update the documentation.

  • Why the registry changes or the installation of security updates does not show in the session remotely from another server?

    Original title: the remote Sessions.

When you install updates security directly on a particular server or change the registry, how is it that change is not displayed when you establish a remote session on this server to another server? My agency uses retina to analyze our servers for security flaws and he always report servers for missing patches or incorrect permissions on some registry settings. When you connect directly to the server, it ends up being false positive hits. Retina establishes remote connections to all servers in the domain to conduct its analysis. This has been an ongoing battle.

  • Windows XP suddenly shows not authentic

I know there have been other discussions on this, but could someone help me please?  I installed the windows updates today (about 25 of them) and when I restarted the computer it is a black screen and says that my copy of Vista is not authentic.  I assure you that it is authentic, and I have the product key at the bottom of my laptop I could fix if it would provide a screen that would let me!  I ran the diagnostic tool for MGA and this is what he says:

  • Account ghost or unknown shows in safe mode in Windows XP machine.

    Original title: Phantom account.

Hello everyone, I hope that someone may be able to provide an answer to a problem, that I detected. I have a "ghost" or "ACCOUNT UNKNOWN" account username on my XP Home SP2 that I found when I went into safe mode and checked the properties-> tab security for one of my programs. This seems to be present in most of the software, but not all.

The unknown user account is S-1-5-32-547 - can anyone tell me what it is or how it got there? Or, is there a need to worry?

When I actually open via control panel user accounts, it is not listed. Only, I fell on it all by checking the properties on the software in safe mode.

Thanks for any help on this problem / question.

    Kind regards

    Mr.Roger

    Hi Mr.Roger,

By default, a built-in Administrator account is created when you install the Windows operating system. This account is only accessible in safe mode and to solve the problems of user account.

    Hope the helps of information.

the simple solution is to change your product key to the one on your COA sticker.
Click Start, type slui 3, press on enter.

    Additional information:

Computers, which are built by large manufacturers provided with pre-installed Windows are supplied with 2 two product keys:

OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

COA SLP: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer. It is a valid product key, but must be used only in certain situations (for example, if the OEM SLP key stops automatic activation for a reason any). The key must be activated by phone. (Note: all manufacturers that use the SLP OEM system are bound by contract to include a certificate of Authenticity sticker (COA), which has a COA SLP key, on the computer)

  • MAB authentication fails on the port of multi-domain: dead result of authentication "server."

    Hi all

First of all, I have no experience with the configuration of Cisco switches (about half a year now) but I read loads and loads of documentation.

I am trying to configure several areas (MDA) authentication on our Cisco switches using mab and spin into something strange. Currently, single mab is asked by my employer.

    Switch = 48-3560G IOS version 12.2 (55) SE1

So RADIUS returns an Access_Accept and the switch treats it as a rejection of access and little esteem RADIUS as dead.

    Help would be appreciated!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

In response to your last post, assignment of vlan dynamic could be achieved with the help of the IETF RADIUS attributes according to the link:
    http://Tools.Cisco.com/Squish/d1791

or using the pair of cisco-av according to the link:
    http://Tools.Cisco.com/Squish/8Bd61

As for free using the Radius and cisco-av pairs. Please can you activate debug on switch output and reproduce the problem with the attempt to authentiation of customer:
    Debug RADIUS
    Debug authentication of all the
    debug functionality of authentication all

As a result the customer authentication event, also benefit from the following switch:
    display the interface authentication sessions

I met problems with respect to the case of the pair of cisco-av. assignment of vlan for example work using the sensitive tiny "tunnel-private-group-id (# 81) = vlanid ' instead of ' tunnel-private-group-ID (# 81) = vlanid.

When testing with the 'tunnel-private-group-ID(#81) = vlanid', I get an error:

RADIUS/DECODE: parse cisco unknown vsa 'tunnel-private-group-ID' - FAIL

So the 2nd link, with the changes:
    Cisco-avpair = "tunnel-type(#64) = VLAN (13).
    Cisco-avpair = "tunnel-medium-type(#65) = 802 media (6).
    Cisco-avpair = "tunnel-private-group-id(#81) = vlanid.

If you still have a question, please include the output of debug/display above which will shed light on the problem.

    Thank you
    Alex

Basically, it gets the status of the defined interface, if it is disabled, it automatically allows and if it is enabled, it prompts before disabling.

It worked fine for months, but continued on with that update Windows this morning, the script can get the status of the interface

name of the interface, see the command netsh interface = 'CONNECTION % '.

It works very well and that it is correctly written in the temporary file, but it cannot define in another State

netsh interface set interface "CONNECT %" % NEWSTATE %

The last line fails with the error message

' The system cannot find the file specified.'.

I can't roll back updates of Windows, because it is run by my company (although I could, but they would be resettled in any case).

I am administrator on my computer (Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, SP1).

I can't disable the network interface of control, and Internet\Network connected without any problem.

    The latest updates have been

    KB3109094

    KB3110329

    KB3035132

    KB3035126

    KB3148198

I tried to link these patches for this issue, nothing helps.

Can someone tell me a trick to solve it?

    Regards and thanks in advance

  • 802. 1 x authentication with Radius and win7 Mab

    Good afternoon!

I have a question about 802.1 x I've set up a laboratory in which I have configured authentication mab with 802. 1 x, but I have a weird behavior of my network controller. On the switch (4948e), I see that the user is authenticated and authorized, and I can see my switch these outputs:

    21 April 15:13:30.263: % AUTHMGR-5-START: start "mab" for the customer (a01d.48ac.b7f
    (5) on the Interface item in gi1/11 AuditSessionID C0A8DF9C0000002E002F3DAC
    * Apr 21 15:13:30.267: % MAB-5-SUCCESS: authentication successful for the client (a01d
. 48AC.B7F5) on the Interface item in gi1/11 AuditSessionID C0A8DF9C0000002E002F3DAC
    * April 21 15:13:30.267: % AUTHMGR-7-RESULT: authentication result 'success' of me
ab' for the client (a01d.48ac.b7f5) on the Interface item in gi1/11 AuditSessionID C0A8DF9C00000
    02E002F3DAC
    * Apr 21 15:13:31.299: % AUTHMGR-5-SUCCESS: authorization succeeds in for the customer (a0
1d.48AC.B7F5) on the Interface item in gi1/11 AuditSessionID C0A8DF9C0000002E002F3DAC

If I type "see the authentication session", the corresponding output.

    Switch #show authentication sessions

Interface MAC address method ID of Session of field status
Item in gi1/11 a01d.48ac.b7f5 mab DATA Authz success C0A8DF9C0000002E002F3DAC

The thing is that when I check my network controller, it said "authentication failure". That's what I've done so far:

    1. I restarted my pc, the same behavior.

    2. I disabled and enabled my network controller, the same behavior.

    3. I rebooted the switch and re-configured. Same behavior.

    4. I tried with another PC configuration. Same behavior.

    5. I changed the configuration of "user authentication" using dot1x EAP authenticator and it worked.

This is the configuration I have on my switch:

    AAA new-model
Group AAA dot1x default authentication RADIUS
Group AAA authorization network default RADIUS
start-stop radius group AAA accounting dot1x default
AAA - the id of the joint session

    !

    control-dot1x system-auth

    !

Switch #show run gigabitEthernet int 1/11
    Building configuration...

    Current configuration: 128 bytes
    !
    interface GigabitEthernet1/11

    Cx-to-Host description
    switchport access vlan 223
    switchport mode access
Auto control of the port of authentication
    MAB
    end

This is the first time I'll put up a configuration 802. 1 x. I'm doing something wrong?

I really hope that I am not the only one with this kind of behavior!

Thank you for any assistance you can give me!

    Status: Authz success

This means that the port is open. Is this permanent? Keep looking at the output of the show a few minutes see if it tries to dot1x too. Can you ping from the PC?

As authentication of 802. 1 X is enabled in the properties of the map NETWORK PC that you can expect dot1x method runs on the switch and eventually respond to the computer with auth fail. Authentication in the PC box is not necessary for MAB.

What type of RADIUS server you use and there 802.1 policy X in addition to MAB policy?

    IP address: unknown

This means that the switch did not recognize the IP address of the host, probably due to the lack of

    analysis of IP device

command. But it is not necessary for the plain MAB or dot1x.

  • "authentication control-direction in" CLOSED authentication mode

    Switch: 4510R-E, running a DEV version 3.6.0-based

    ISE: 1.2.0.899 patch 7

Hi, I worked on a weird issue where some of my clients would pass through their IP address and the only way I could get it back was to spend their open port in authentication mode. I need to run in closed mode, because I change VLAN via MAB.

I worked with TAC, and they suggested that add the command "authentication control direction in" in my config switchport (below). Couple tests Ive done, this seems to help. But I understand why. Isn't the direction-control a little command reduce to naught the principle of closed mode operation? That is, it allows a communication until the device is allowed. Thank you.

    interface GigabitEthernet2/18
    switchport access vlan 34
    switchport mode access
    switchport voice vlan 66
    events-the link status logging
authentication event fail following action method
action of death server authentication of the event allowed vlan 34
action of death event authentication server allow voice
living action of the server reset the authentication event
    the host-mode multi-auth authentication
    authentication order mab dot1x
    authentication priority dot1x mab
Auto control of the port of authentication
    restrict the authentication violation
    MAB
    dot1x EAP authenticator
    dot1x tx-time 10
    service-policy input QoS-entry-policy
    Service-politique-accueil-port-sortie-strategie output QoS
    end

I also need to use this command to preserve the authenticated devices. He was going on with a video surveillance system, which was an embedded Linux operating system. It's the MAB and because there was no transmission all noisy traffic (unlike a windows box) then the switch would not be able to reauth it as it had no mac address to auth, so show up with an 'unknown' in the MAC field.

It allows essentially traffic flow out of the port. This active unit to receive HTTP traffic and respond, then the switch could auth it again once the device sent a frame.

When you do a Show authentication sessions you will notice a Oper control dir: the two will pass to Oper control dir: in
