• iPad 2 - iBook screen goes black

  I have an iPad 2 and use it a lot for reading books on iBook. iBook started to shut down the first time I open the app, but opens on the second try. Time to time (at least once per session), the screen turns black with white writing or not written at all. When he is not writing, I can not read this page and can find no way to stop the app change the color of the page. Also when I close the application, it does not save the bookmark, or my place in the book. I have to make a note where I am so I can go back to the page.   Please ask for help here in the communities of Apple. I will be happy to offer you some things to try to get your application properly functioning iBooks on your iPad again 2. The first thing we want to do is make a backup of all your data in iTunes or iCloud. This link will help with that:

  How to back up your device using iCloud or iTunes

  Once we know that your data is safe, go ahead and restart the iPad. You need not to do the cover, just a normal reboot will suffice for this.

  Restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

  If problems continue, go ahead and try to reset the settings on your device. Go to settings > general > reset, and then click Reset all settings. That it does not reset some of your settings to factory default. It is not a complete elimination of the settings and will not affect your personal data. It deletes all of your preferences for the Wi - Fi (including passwords for each network), Bluetooth, do not disturb, Notifications, general, sounds, brightness & wallpaper and privacy.

  If you're still having problems, so we want to get a new version of the operating system, which will bring a new version of iBooks. To do this, you will need to erase your personal data and to define up to nine iPad using iTunes. This link will help you do this:

  Since the update to IOS 9.3.5 I can sync is more PDFs in iBooks on my Pro iPad with iBooks on iMac with OS X 10.11.6. Before updating to IOS 9.3.5, I had no problem of synchronization of files PDF between systems and I have not changed the settings on my iPad or iMac.

  I too had a similar problem with iOS 9.3.5 but now ive not changed in beta ios10 no problem, all my 7 GB iBooks PDFs stored in iCloud etcetera are all accessible once more, apple says no problem, I was the only one with this delema. Everything I've read, this isn't an isolated case.

  Try the vet depending your operating system, or to copy some of the complaints to apple.

  I want to give you an update on the problem you reported in this forum thread.

  Some iOS with capabilities overview PDF applications have problems displaying text annotations correctly.

  

  The following applications can display text annotations in the original and correct positions.

  • Acrobat Reader for iPhone and iPad
  • Dropbox (for iPhone and iPad)
  • Acrobat Reader DC (for Windows or Mac)
  • Overview of Apple (for Mac)

  However, Apple Mail, iBooks and other iOS applications of third parties who use iOS Apple SDK show text annotations in deformities due to a bug in Apple .

• Problems previewing InDesign CS5.5 exported EPUB in Apple iBooks, on an iOS device.

  I have problems of creation of EPUB when I use my document InDesign CS 5.5 of my first EPUB book, as a template to create my two other EPUB books.

  My client gave me a job that forced me to learn how to do ePub files - and I'm still learning.  I have created three books in Design CS 5.5, for fixed PDF page, with an array of interactive content and a regular EPUB export, with automatic formatting of reperfusion and automated table of contents. These books were not created for printing.

  After that I created the premiera and exported successfully to an EPUB, which previewed fine free Adobe additions, I used the first document InDesign CS 5.5 as a model to create the other two publications.  These books have been around 100 pages or less, with little or no imposed jpeg images except covers three books, so I have not created a Book.indb for each publication.  Each book is made in files unique InDesign with their own unique cover on their first page art.

  When my client in preview the three books on his iPad in iBooks, all three books show the cover of the first book, when we see them on the set of iBooks library.  Then, when you open them, you see the correct cover for this particular book and the correct inner pages.

  When I open each InDesign file and open the tabbed file information dialog box, I have a title of different document for each of the three different books.  When I export to EPUB, the Option to Export EPUB dialog box pops up and I chose "include Document metadata."  I entered the name of the Publisher and a separate for each book Unique identifier, when I export.

  After I sent the three files ePub to my iPod Touch, all three presented themselves in my library iBooks, but when we see them on the shelf of the library that they have the first cover of the book on all three.  So, I have an overview of redundant coverage on the library shelf, the iBooks app icons, running in Apple iOS.

  I have two books by Elizabeth Castro on creating ePub with InDesign files.  I will read more, especially the part about the preparation of your EPUB for Apple iBook, on iOS.  But I thought I'd share my problem here to see if anyone has a solution for me.  Thank you.

  I often find myself answering my own questions, but I'll do once again, this time, while others can learn.  When you export to EPUB in InDesign CS 5.5, a diolog of the Options to Export EPUB appears.  Under "EPUB", select "Image file existing use" and choose the file that was used on the first page of the InDesign document for the new cover of the book.

  This feature can cause human error inbedded if you use a book filled with Indesign as a model to create other books because even if you have placed a new cover at the beginning of the book, export options was still chosen for the previous book coverage file you worked on.

  In fact, I got the answer to my problem with the help of InDesign Menu, when InDesign CS 5.5 is released.

• MP3 files

  Soon to move to hype pro but just to complete 2 simple children's books using widgets created with Adobe edge and fell into iBooks author and tested on my iPad with iBooks using files mp3 integrated in the widget. Tested several times and impressive features. Should I convert to m4as or stay with the MP3 files in the current project and moving forward with projects future use MP4/ACC?

  I would stick with the by the following guides:

  Audio must be encoded using iTunes as follows (with .m4a as the file extension):

  • Stereo
  • AAC/MP4
  • 256 Kbps

  MP3 works locally, but will not be supported if you want to download the book on the iBook Store.

• A book I just download English pass to another language just before Chapter 2.

  I just downloaded me before you by JoJo Moyes on my iPad using iBooks and I started to read it, got to the last page of Chapter 1 and the text suddenly changed in Russian/Ukrainian/Icelandic (some foreign languages). All pages to the end of the book continue to be in this language, and the majority of Chapter 1 remains in English. I don't know what's happened?

  Have you tried to remove the book and then re - download?

  Say clearly:

  • You can include video, audio and edge animate content (files with extension .oam).

  Yes you can and you can preview them, but they do not appear in iBooks on the iPad. If InDesign epub 3 fixed layouts are to make any impact probably edge animate .oam files should work in?

  Let me know if Miss me something, or how you get them to work on an iPad via iBooks.

  My understanding is the fact that the OAM files do not work on an iPad in iBooks is a bug in the iOS7 software or iBooks for iPad.

  If you view the EPUB3 FLX files in iBooks on a Macintosh in Mavericks (Mac OSX 10.9), the animation of the OAM will play well.

  You could try them in 4 new digital editions on Adobe, which just came out:

  Since this morning after an update to the iPad, iBooks is showing the book pages in two columns instead of a full page, from left to right.  How can I change this back to a page on the screen?

  I saw that too. Stupid solution. Increase your font a to the top of the smallest.

  The smaller police apparently goes into two columns.

• iBooks on the iPad

  In iBooks when I pass my books in: featured, NYTime, Top Charts etc. the page is empty. I cannot view all categories book or buy a book.

  There are a number of other threads about the same problem. Closing the application via the taskbar of the iPad, a soft-reset/reboot of the iPad, and/or logging out and back to your account on the iPad could solve this (although perhaps temporarily). • iBooks does only not on iPad

  The iBooks on my iPad app has stopped working. I can see my books. I can't get. None of the icons at the bottom of the page works except "my books".

  Yes, it's a recurring problem. A temporary solution is to close the iBooks and the App and restart your iPad.

  Double-click the home button to bring up the App selector, and then drag the iBooks App screen upward and out of the screen to close.

  Click on the button home once to return to the home screen, then press and hold the home and sleep/power buttons 10 or 15 seconds or until the Apple logo appears.  Reset draw the iPad.

  Then, you can try to open the iBooks App and see if the store tabs work again.

  It's worked for me a few times, but it inevitably goes back to being blank subsequently.

• Unable to access iBooks Store for iPad after upgrade to iOS 9.3.3.

  We do not seem to access my iPad iBooks store 2 Air or my wife Mini 4 iPad after upgrading iOS 9.3.3 machines. When you click on any of the icons store across the lower part of the application, we get a blank white page. We can access all our books purchased on the iCloud, but cannot look for first timers. The iBooks app seems to work normally on my iPhone 6 after the iOS upgrade. Anyone else has a similar problem?

  Yes. Double-click the home button on the iPad and the iBooks app sliding upwards and out of the screen to close.

  Click on the home button to return to the home screen, then hold home and power/sleep buttons for 10-15 seconds or until the Apple logo appears.

  Reset draw iPads. Let them restart and try opening the iBooks App again.

  No data should be lost by the present.

• iBooks on the ipad app does not

  I can't get my iBook icons. Featured, Top Charts, NY Times, etc. in my ipad mini 3 for the service.  Nothing but blank screens.  Running IOS 9.3.3 and ibooks 4.8.  I did a hard reset of my ipad but without success.

  Any ideas on how to fix?
