IPad Pro for Photoshop work

Hi all:

I intend to gift my wife who is a learner PS crazy and enthusiastic, a Pro for the IPad. I was wondering who would be good for his work, given that it can have only 4 GB RAM max.

In addition, available pen functionality also I guess that its interest would be.

in any suggestions, please let me know. Anyone who has widely used IPad Pro for PS work.  The advantages and disadvantages... most welcome.

Thank you

Better the Mac is the best AstroPad will work.  I don't use a Mac.  Do a search on Astropad and performance. Photoshop will work 8 GB of RAM wig how performance will be with Astropad may be more related to the graphics card in the mac and your home network.   When I want a screen high resolution on my computer I plugged my surface 3 Pro as a third wireless display using a virtual graphics card.  On the surface, I just use chrome to connect the - the virtual graphics card on my workstation. While it is a secular State when I use the highest image quality I'm only using the display as a second high resolution of my work.  I have mounted my screen low resolution of the workstation. If the offset is not a problem. I have read one thread where someone noted the excellent work of Astropad with his MacPro but had some latency problem when used with his wife i - mac.  If the mac machine makes a difference.

  • SUrface 4 pro for photoshop and lightroom: working well?

    Hi all

. I am a photographer for pictures allround (Macro, food, Church ecc...) and I used the retina with computer ipad mini 16.4 "sony laptop.

The problem is just my beginning of notebook to be large for the ride, and I use the Tablet as long as the laptop.

With Tablet, I use mobile versions of photoshop/lightroom, but I can't work 100% because they have very limited tools (Ad example lightroom can't the lens profiles or distortions difficulty setting).

Now, I think buying new surface pro 4 (I5 or i7 that I don't know) for work with photoshop and lightroom to 100% with a light machine.

    MY work is:

Download files camera RAWS, I make them some easy fix (some contrast, histogram, aim profiles) and I will pubblish with whatsapp, facebook, or other.

I will also show the final shots to my consumers and tablet work, better than a laptop.

Do you know if the surface PRo4 is right for my job? Is better i7 or i5 version?

Cc 2014will Photoshop run well on the surface 4 pro, however I do not think that you will be able to use its user interface using the native resolution of 264ppi using CC 2 x 2014 UI becomes like an old IBM 15 "IPS LCD display 4:3 aspect ratio Think 1600 x 1200px 133ppi resolution.  CC2014 2xUI using the pro 4 resolution surface becomes a screen resolution 132ppi have a 3:2 aspect ratio have logically 1368px by 912px less then the old IBM ThinkPad. However, CC 2014 dimensionnera not display the images 2 X.  It will use its normal image resizing and what a view than actual pixels the image will have a resolution of 264ppi for the means in full mode screen area of the image displayed will be 3:2 1824px 2736px.  Photoshop works with a processor.

You may want to Surface 3 pro screen is slightly smaller, its borders are wider.  However his 216ppi is usable without using 2 x UI for short periods of time.  2 x user interface is more or less equally usable but it 2160 x 1440 px becomes a 1080px by 720px and is not quite meet Photoshop 1024 x 768 UI requirement.

Photoshop UI is not supposed to be a tactile interface that you'll love more want a Bluetooth mouse and a utility like key if you want to use Photoshop with the surface in the form of tablets.  It is not usable without quick access to shortcuts of Photoshop IMO. On-screen keyboards do not have hack it for shortcuts.

  • Alarms have no sound on my iPad Pro for iOS 9.3

I use a little timers to remind me when I do the tea. Since 9.3, however, they are not a noise, Siri, with reminders app or the clock app.

The system volume is enough all the way, and my iPad Pro is powered.

I can open clock, set a timer for 2 min the sound up and 'Presto' under the timer. It counts down, but when it's done, there is no noise or the notification if the application is in the foreground or stayed at another same app that happens if I set an alarm.

In settings, I checked do not disturb is turned off. I also checked the status bar at the bottom of the screen, and the Moon do not disturb is not on.

I checked the parameters of Notifications, and badges, sounds and alerts are enabled for reminders. There is no notification of the application of the clock setting.

In sound settings, I checked the ringer and alerts sound slider is turned upward. I have sounds attached to each of the options sounds. Sounds of lock and click on keyboard are turned on, and they work.

I tried to turn off my iPad Pro, wait a few minutes, then turning back, but still no sound from the alarm.

See if your "do not disturb" setting is enabled. If you see a moon in your upper right corner, it's on. Turn it off through your bar of tasks or in the settings in the main menu on the left.

  • How to transfer iTunes iPad Pro for iPhone

I replace my current Macbook with an iPad Pro. How do I transfer my iTunes from my iPad Pro on my iPhone? I know how to leave my Macbook, but what if I sell my Macbook? Apple has really solve this problem, if they want us to replace our MacBook with the new iPad Pro.

An iPad Pro does not replace a computer, it does not sync the content to another iOS device.

If these are iTunes purchases and they are still in the store and you have not reached the country since their purchase, then you might be able to re-download them via the tab bought from the iTunes Store app on the phone. Or you can subscribe to Match iTunes on your computer and download your music to (correspondence is only for music, not for the movies or videos) so that your music library is available in the cloud.

  • Connect the new iPad Pro for USB printer

Do I need a special cable or a Hub to connect these 2 elements.

You cannot connect via USB to your iPad, it will not be recognized. Is the printer compatible wifi?

If the printer supports AirPrint, you can use your wifi network to print on it: on AirPrint - Apple Support

If it isn't, some printer manufacturers have their own applications in the App Store to print their via wifi, or there are third party printer applications in the App Store that could work with him.

If the printer is not compatible wifi, you could (I have not tried) able to connect it to a computer and print to it via who (for example print via an app on the iPad that sends the print job to/through the computer)

  • Best alternative to Photoshop for iPad Pro?

I am a print and web designer and I just bought an iPad Pro. IM has decided to try to work only on my projects using my new iPad Pro for the next few days. Certainly, it should not be a replacement for my iMac, but I want to give it a try.

I notice that Adobe has a lot of products by way of illustration, but I don't see an alternative to Photoshop. Pixelmator is cool, but it's meh. Model of Adobe is also cool, but it lacks a lot of features.

Has anyone found an alternative good photoshop that would allow me to create and edit PSD files, when I travel?

No matter what other digital designers out there that the spirit of sharing their favorite applications?

    Thanks in advance.

    Suz

Adobe has many applications of Photoshop.

Search the IOS App Store for only Adobe.

If you want to maintain an all workflows Adobe, Photoshop, in order to get most of the functionality of Photoshop on a computer, you will need to use all the different Adobe Photoshop applications to work with.

If you are using an older version of Photoshop and not the current Adobe Creative cloud suite with subscription, most Adobe applications, in order to better integrate them will pay for a monthly subscription of CreativeCloud or connect to your cloud Creative account if you are already paying a subscription.

If you are using an older version of Photoshop, you'll need to use a service like DropBox Cloud or box or some other Cloud Service, like iCloud Drive Apple, Amazon Cloud Drive or GoogleDrive to bandy your work back and forth between your iPad and your computer.

Adobe, I guess, won't or don't know how to create a version of Photoshop on iOS that is a close approximation of Photoshop on a full blown computer.

Adobe Photoshop full in a variety of applications to cover different areas of Photoshop broke.

You'll find yourself using the multiple applications of Photoshop to cover everything you do with full Photoshop.

You'll find yourself using several apps to do a great many things, perhaps more easily on a computer, no matter what, in any case.

    This is how iOS works.

There is not a single application that will cover everything that you could possibly need.

Working in the iOS is mainly working with multiple applications.

For the work and digital painting and illustration of image editing, you will find that you will have to constantly import/export files from an application to another.

If you don't like this multiple iOS approach Photoshop app, your only alternatives are Pixelmator for iPad and may, in addition, http://bit.ly/joc0zm.

I use apps and paint a little image editing applications, but Pixelmator and http://bit.ly/joc0zm are apps that are in the top of the applications on my big iPad Pro.

There are other image editors and applications of paint you can use

    I have a little.

Here is my own incomplete list of creative image and drawing apps I have installed and you are using.

    In no particular order.

    Pixelmator

    Childbearing

    Sketch book / SketchBook Pro

    Sketch of Pro

    Concepts

    Forge

    Inspire Pro

    Ibis paint

    Art Studio

    Memopad

    Chart

    Hit the draw draw

    More than

    Transfer

HD Photo sorting (an image/document organization function app folder)

    Photogene

    Camera

    TItleFX

    Retype

    Union

    Filterstorm

    Photomotion

If you want to add more fonts to your iPad applications that might access to, find the app

    AnyFont.

    Good luck!

  • 'pen' for Ipad pro NOT for drawing

Just got an Ipad pro for my father who is blind in one eye. He has no vision 3D and said that typing on the keyboard of the screen is difficult because he cannot judge where the key board "is" compared to his finger and the finger is too big to see what lying under exactly - so it hits the wrong letter (kind of like we all did when we started the text on the phone). Anyway, he thinks that if he had a stylus as an eraser pencil or other object thin soft touch letters or other buttons with her would be better... I know that the technology is such that you can not use just a pencil upside with eraser to erase, but is there something that exists? (Yes, I know all about the tip - but this is to click not drawing, so to speak)

Any stylus capicitive should work. You can get almost everywhere now. You are looking for one with a soft rubber tip.

  • Bluetooth Ipad pro

I have had my iPad Pro for 6 months, I hunt bought a new Bluetooth headphones work fine on my iPhone 6, yet my ipad even not see this device, I tried my old Bluetooth apple keyboard and unrecognized, either. 2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
    3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

I want to buy an ipad pro for school, but I will need an adapter to plug in my flash drive. I was wondering if I would be able to buy an adapter that I can use for a flash drive.

You can buy a control usb3 adapter, but can connect a USB fat32 and you can import photos because there is no file browser.  Flash player cannot be connected or sick... instead of you can only buy western digital my passport wireless hard drive to keep your files and my cloud app works very well with the ipad pro

  • All users 12.9 inch screen iPad Pro noted that it seems difficult more hard/more to own footprints on the screen?

I use a cloth towel style is aggresiive a little more than a Microfiber cloth, because the Microfiber cloth was not a good job at all, the cleaning of the finger prints/finger oils out of my big iPad screen and even the fabric, I use now takes some time washing and wiping my finger oils of the my big screen iPad Pro.

Anyone else noticing this problem since the time of purchase?

If so, what are you using for more quickly and efficiently clean the screen bigger?

Now, I have had my iPad Pro for seven months, and screen cleaning problem is to start getting anjoying / irritating.

I use the same type of towel fabric on my iPad 1, 2 and 3 and the screens clean quickly and easily my finger paintings. No problems.

What gives with the new Pro iPad models and the hardest screen cleaning?

    Thank you all!

I use my iPad 2 Air and iPad Pro both, every day. I can't find the screen Pro harder to clean than the Air 2. I use the same clothes on both Microfiber, with a little water. I'll put a few drops of water in the center of the screen when laid flat, work-around with the light finger tip pressure suit and then use the Microfiber, finish by wiping in strokes a path across the screen.  Works very well on both devices.
