  I recently bought the Magic Keyboard (presentation in French) and I want to type on my IPad Pro. And here is my problem: when I need to type in a different language (e.g. English instead of French), I change the language of the dictionary and it automatically changes the physical keyboard! So, it makes the keyboard "French" of magic almost unusable for any other language (I have to "guess" where are the letters). The "Hardware keyboard" menu (general / keyboard) does not allow me to set a default physical keyboard that remains the same when I change language...

  You gave just the physical keyboard to the French for each software keyboard separately.  There should be no problem it.   Let me know if you can't see how that works...

  So I found workaround to get this working. The problem seems to be that the Autopassword/cut/paste/correction automatic bar becomes hidden on the software keyboard by default when you first use the Smart keyboard. To solve the problem and make the bar appear:

  1. go to a site or a domain on a site where the software keyboard would normally appear.

  2. unplug the smart keyboard.

  3. you will notice the bar is reduced to the minimum - unminimze it looks as you expect the software keyboard to look like.

  4. reconnect the Smart keyboard in iPad and you should see the keyboard disappears, but the bar remains as the screenshot below shows.

  

  Hope this helps... is not ideal, because this should be the default, but this seems to be a reasonable solution.

If I understand correctly, you cannot have your Smart keyboard automatically cuts your iPad Pro when you pull the Smart keyboard physically the Smart Connector. To start, make sure your iPad Pro and Smart Keyboard are in a position to Type. Remove the Smart keyboard for your iPad Pro. Restart your device, like closing down and starting process is important to keep the iOS software works correctly.
