so... I type Safari, opening the app. Press search/url field, the application crashes. Repeatable. I tried a reboot of the device but also many top-shots to clear the application in the list of multi-tasking.

  • Safari crashing immediately by pressing the url bar. Help?

About 10 minutes ago, I opened safari and attempted to enter a url. Suddenly the app crashed immediately that I typed in the url bar. Tried the app closing and reopening, tried to restart my phone, tried to close the application and then restart the phone then reopen the app, tried to change a lot of settings of safari to see if everything worked, and it still crashes immediately when you tapoterez the url bar.

I have nothing out of the ordinary with safari worked and when it stopped working, so I have no idea what could cause this problem. I was literally by using perfectly a few minutes before it poops right on me.

Something that works well is to copy/paste text in the url field, because who does not need to actually open the bar, just glue and search in the copied text. So it's good, I guess.

Still however, any advice on how to solve this problem? I am on iphone 6 ios 9.0.2 at this time, have not yet updated to 9.2.1. Do I really need to?

Same problem here, iPhone 6, just updated to 9.2.1.

  • iPad safari crash, reboot back to the home page of safari. Has begun to do this with 8.1 update and never stopped. I hope that new updates should solve this problem, but they did not. I will not buy an Apple product once again.

MY iPad hangs on web pages to the home page of Safari. Started to do this with the 8.0 update way back. I kept hoping that each new update which would stop, but it's not. I is very annoying! According to me, I don't want another Apple product. I've seen other messages on this same thing and some answers say to hold the home button and button simultaneously until iPad goes out but this is not enough. Apple does not seem to care to fix it after all these months.

If you think that every iPad 2 does that and ignored, Apple?

You realize that it could be a website that you visit that could cause this? Or an application that you have. What did Apple say when contacts you to this topic? What else did you do besides a reset?

  • Is there a way to set a cookie to be stored permanently without going in tools | Options | etc and then manually by typing in the URL?

I have put cookies expire when I close Firefox, but want some select sites for permanent cookies. I can do this job by by going to tools | Options | Privacy | Exceptions of cookie dialog box and then manually by typing in the URL for the site that I want to have stored cookies permanently. But it seems that if the site is currently open in a tab, I should be able to click on something, somewhere, like "allow the current site to have permanent cookies."

    Is this possible?

You can see the permissions for the domain in the active tab in tools > Page Info > permissions

    • A way to see all the permissions is to click on the favicon (Site ID icon) on the left side of the address bar.
    • Click on the "More information" button opens the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "tools > Page Info").
    • The permissions of the "Page Info" window tab.
  • How to prevent the drop-down menu when you click in the URL field?

    Hello

For some time there is Safari displays a short title in the URL field when you view a web page (for example, at the moment it says "Apple Inc").  Quite often I want to drage the actual URL in a note or on the desktop for later use.  Whenever I click in the URL field to do this, Safari down a bunch of icons corresponding to the bookmarks in the bookmarks bar, which is useless as my favorite bar is always visible.

What I would do is to disable this action so that when I click on all I get is the URL so I can drag it somewhere.  Quite often when I drag the URL and domain of Favorites icons is visible, Safari think I want to lodge in this area and therefore mixes the existing icons around according to what path taking when you drag.  It's really very annoying behavior and there must be a way to disable.

    Thank you!

    Uncheck the "Show Favorites".

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  • Hello, I installed Firefox 10.0. Everything worked fine before, but every time I enter a URL that I have to use the mouse and click on the arrow at the end because hitting enter no longer works now in the URL field.

Hitting enter does not work in the URL field. Instead, I have to click on the arrow at the end of the URL field with the mouse. The problem came just after the upgrade to 10.0. I have the Yahoo toolbar & AVG toolbar (I got two toolbars already though). The fields of research both of the toolbars work when you press on enter. Just not the URL field at the top of firefox.

Not a problem, happy that we managed to solve the problem

Not able to select .jpg to fill selector background image property of the source s < style > embeded, window closes before I can choose my .jpg to fill in the URL field in the background-image property. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Manually, enter it in code view.

    background - image: URL (yourimagepath.jpg);

It could be a code error, DW requires a valid code / clean for many of its functions to work properly. Run http://validator.w3.org/nu and The Service of Validation CSS W3C validators and clean the detected problems. If that doesn't help, clear the cache program or restore preferences can help.

  • Impossible to open new tabs or load new sites by typing in the URL.

When I click on the button "+" to open a tab (or on the file menu) nothing happens. Also when I try to go to a new web page by typing the URL, nothing happens. A new web page and the tab only opens by clicking on an element of search result (Google). Back on Mozilla does not help.

Note: Printing data of the troubleshooting information below removed in order to limit the characters less than 30,000.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do not click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

You can use one of them to start Firefox in safe mode:

    • On Windows, hold down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox with a double click on the shortcut to the desktop Firefox
    • On Mac, hold the Options key when starting Firefox
    • Help > restart with disabled modules

If that doesn't work in Firefox Safe mode then disable all extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions) and then try to find out who is causing by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

  • typing in the url of my site Web company sends to page index https in Firefox, but not IE or Chrome, and the behavior is not

After updating Firefox to version 14.0.1 I noticed when I typed in the Web address of my business that firefox was the site https:// version when it has never done this before.

Example, if you type in amazon.com in the URL bar, you will briefly see that firefox changes the url to https://www.amazon.com before be automatically directed to the site normal www.amazon.com .

My site did not have a secure index page and received a message generated by the server until I discovered this problem.

Is there a setting in Firefox to prevent the URL bar by first selecting a secure connection? This behavior occur in newer versions of I.e. or Chrome browsers on a desk.

Any help would greatly be apprecaited

Depending on the solution worked for me. Just put the following in the file .htaccess on your server and put your name field instead of the field below example:

While in recovery, you do not have access to your saved bookmarks or passwords, so take note of those who before, if they are required for the test.
