iPhone not recognized (no device found) in iTunes and Xcode

Data sheet:

  1. MacBook Pro (13 inch, late 2011)
  2. OS X El Capitan (Version 10.11.4)
  3. iTunes (12.3.3.17)
  4. Xcode (Version 7.1.1)
  5. iPhone 4S (iOS 9.3.1)

Problem statement:

  1. My iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or Xcode whenever I have it plug it into my mac directly via the usb cable. The Photos app connects and clearly shows that the list of my iPhone photos.
  2. iPhone appears in information system under the USB section.
  3. I have the latest version of iOS and OS x and Xcode and iTunes.
  4. Strange, when I connect my iPhone to a Windows computer, the iTunes in this PC recognize and display devices, and I'm able to sync.
  5. I have been dealing with this problem for almost 3 days now.
  6. Of course, I'm confident the computer to the iPhone when the alert on the computer appears.
  7. When I connect my iPhone to another Mac, it is recognized and the synchronization works.
  8. When I put my iPhone in my device iTunes recovery mode displays and is recognized and I am asked to update or restore. I've done both but my iPhone restarts in the middle of the process and gets not even recognized because it comes out of the iPhone recovery mode.
  9. Wireless mouse connected to my mac via USB works in all ports.
  10. I have USB 2.0
  11. I encounter the error "Could not connect to the device", "Could not connect to this iPhone"iPhone"and"Operation timed"out from iTunes."
  12. It seems that this problem arises with El Capital because I'm able to connect to iTunes and Xcode with Maverics last few months. Only, I returned again a coding in Xcode after a few months break and noticed the problem when I'm about to deploy my application for iPhone.

What I've done so far but did not work:

  1. Change usb port
  2. Restarted mac, iTunes, iPhone and Xcode.
  3. Downgraded to the lower version of iTunes (12.1). I put it to the later version on light that it did not work.
  4. Use different cables
  5. iPhone in Recovery Mode
  6. Reset the SMC, PRAM, NVRAM
  7. Reset the settings of my iPhone (reset all settings)
  8. Clear/var/db/lockdown folder content
  9. sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext and uninstall and then install the latest version of iTunes
  10. sudo launchctl stop com.apple.usbmuxd out iTunes and open it again.
  11. sudo nvram boot-args = kext-dev-mode = 1
  12. Disable the system full protection
  13. Uninstall my antivirus
  14. Created another admin account in my mac and I tried to plug in the unit.
  15. Searched the net for different solutions.
  16. installed anti malware and scanned mac.

Hoping that someone could enlighten and lead with this problem.

Finally solved the problem in replacement of my old usb cable with a newly purchased on Apple Store.

    Hello

Since you said it worked very well recently, I'll try to do a system restore at this point in time.

    See this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/system-restore?SignedIn=1

In addition, see the response of the Meghmala and follow the instructions listed there. I think that the three method might be the best of the bunch for you, but they have all the right steps.

  • iPhone not recognized by iTunes in recovery mode

    Hello

I have disabled my iPhone by entering the password wrong too many times.

I do not have a reliable PC, so it makes things a little more difficult. The device is not (ask for the trusted PC) when it is connected normally but does not offer the option to restore the default values. She however does not recognize the device when it is in Recovery Mode.

I checked my drivers, all the required software are installed, I use an original with port 2.0 usb cable (I also plugged my iPad who trusted the PC and checked another iPhone that is not disabled and both work)

I followed apple for iPhone reset guide, but it does not go past the stage where iTunes should appear a window with the option to update or restore the device

Someone at - he encountered this problem before? Any thoughts?

I asked a friend who works in an Apple repair shop and he has not encountered this problem before.

    Thank you!

    Try DFU

Connect your device to your computer with a USB cable.

    Turn off the device.

Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.

Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.

Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.

After that 15 seconds, you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.

If this does not work, try the old way of doing the recovery mode

    Launch iTunes

Connect the USB cable to the PC, but NOT on the iPhone

    Turn the iPhone off

    Hold the "home" button

    Connect the cable

Keep now "home" button until you get the iTunes icon and the cable on the screen of the iPhone

    Restore as a new

    Hope that helps

  • Bluetooth Lenovo S10e has stopped working - device not found / not recognized USB device.

    Hello

For no reason that I know, installing bluetooth on my small S10e has stopped working.

I noticed a few times when stop I had a "BTstackserver" does not message.

I use the laptop to download regularly from a device compatible bluetooth.

Today, when I go to connect, it says "bluetooth device not found".

"Verify that your device bluetooth is properly connected and turned on".

Hardware manual displays the config of LED and is correct, that if I press the "Fn" keys and "F5", I get the menu to turn on and off both the wireless and Bluetooth. I can turn on and off Bluetooth and wireless both with this menu option, BUT when I activate the bluetooth, I get the message 'one of the USB devices attached to the system is faulty or is not recognized.

I deleted the Bluetooth installed and re-installed software by using the two bluetooth install files published on the list of drivers on lenovo S10e. Neither one works. I know that you need to install dir C:\DRIVERS once Setup has finished unpacking.

I tried several other obvious things but without success. I also enabled "Bluetooth coopération" in the wireless LAN settings.

All I can do now is get to the Bluetooth device under the keyboard cover and take a look at that? Anyone who has any suggestions until I get out the screwdriver? (The unit is out of warranty).

I received my replacement bluetooth module and installing it, bluetooth is working again.

I keep getting "BTW stack server" stopped responding when stopped down, but this does not seem to cause any problems.

Too bad that original bluetooth module did not survive barely a month after the end of warranty date...

I'm used to a greater reliability of Lenovo.

    Hello

Once removed the HDD data can't be recovered. However, you can use your favorite search engine to browse third-party data recovery software and use this software to recover data.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Network controller not recognized by Device Manager

Device Manager cannot recognize my Dell Inspiron 15 network controller. It is marked as an unknown device.

Can someone please direct me as to where I could download the driver network controller, if indeed that is what is needed for the Device Manager to recognize the network controller.

My Dell is unable to locate any available internet connection and I think it has to do with the network being not recognized controller

  • Mass storage device is not recognized in Windows 7 (x 86 and x 64)

My mass storage device has been recognized in Windows 7 before with pilot USBSTOR. SYS (ver 6.1.7600.16385). However, it is not recognized more with the new driver USBSTOR. SYS (ver. 6.1.7601.17577)

My mass storage device can be recognized by Windows Vista (x 86) as a removable disk (FAT file system).

Y at - it a fix for this problem for Windows 7?

  • Satellite C650 - USB ports not recognized in Device Manager

When I turned off my cell phone, I lose the use of my two USB ports. The only way I can get back them is to use Device Manager

Go into the Manager of peripheral devices, Bus USB controllers, there are 6 x Intel ICH9 Family USB Universal Host controller 2 x Intel ICH9 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controllers and 7 x USB hub root. When I lose the USB ports, USB root hubs seem to disappear, and the only way I can get back them is to uninstall the controllers and then right-click Universal Serial Bus Conrollers for "scan for changes on the hardware. This brings back the root hubs and USB ports work fine... until the computer turns off again.

Someone at - he encountered this problem and managed to resolve it? Its a hassle to have to go through the uninstall it / Reinstall procedure each time. Your advice will be appreciated.

    Hey Buddy,

You use the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba or did you install your own version? I don't see any information about the BONES in your ad...
Theoretically, it could be a software problem so ports USB work correctly if they recognized in Device Manager

You should also try to update the Web from Toshiba site chipset driver. Maybe it helps.
Otherwise, I could imagine that the update of the BIOS can also operate and this update you can get on the Web from Toshiba site too.
