IPhone stolen

Hello. Yesterday, my iPhone 6 has been stolen. I was able to delete content in https://www.icloud.com/.

Last night, my friend received a message from an unknown number saying "your iPhone 6 64 GB gold was located near Metro Hotel 5110 today at 19:44 DST." "See the location: http://location-find.online/index.php/login Apple Support. Today, it has received yet another message of another saying unknown number "your iPhone 6 64 GB gold was located near Police leave today at 09:36 DST." "See the location: http://location-find.online/index.php/login Apple Support. The link redirects to a 404 error page is useless. But I just want to know if Apple Support really sends this message when lost is enabled for an iPhone.

Thank you and have a nice day

No, it's a scam.

Not anyone here, not Apple. You can check with your operator if they used your SIM card, and you may have to get the police involved for the information about the location. If it was not your SIM card, you would not be able to.

  • iPhone stolen and then off immediately

My 6 + a iPhone was stolen from my pocket, in a public place. I realized with in 1 minute. I called back on my phone using another phone but seems thief he took were immediately.

I remember much about high security features of this expensive equipment. I asked my wife to immediately follow the phone hoping that nothing can happen that I have Apple device not one another... Phone appeared offline and so far, he is off line. It is 6 days and always in offline mode.

Because it is public information that how the apple security system once an iOS device was stolen so for us it is fair to assume that thief also knew what not to do once he stole an iPhone.

I guess that those who have conceptualized and implemented the security of iOS devices were a very naïve and unrealistic assumption that thief will be finally running the unit and let the owner keep track. It will never happen?

So now that the thief will be with my camera $ 1200 if it won't have to connect the iPhone to the internet and help me in my camera using the excellent "find my phone" app for tracking?

It can easily sell it for parts and get at least a few hundred dollars out of it.

Ask yourself what best I can have other that define a difficult access code, connect in iCloud, turns on "Find my phone" and once it is stolen then place it on the lost mode, plays sound and then, assuming that only the device owner are intelligent species and the thief being the most ignorant, which would certainly result in thief connect the device to the network for my investment of $1200.

Although the mechanism of apple security everything is documented publicly, and I'm not going to ask who switched off must be protected by an access code that corresponds to the information private only in this regime as a whole thing. I was wondering what apple think about protecting its customers, if such a situation occurs.

Overall, the customer is in full loss but ironically thief has still encourage them to do something about the transaction and is not taken at all.

The phone has little value to the thief if you have enabled the find my phone feature, which puts a lock on the device activation. They will not be able to use the phone somehow. Nor will any what buyer, they can find.

It is really little or no value for parts. Only ace-in-the-hole the thief is the greed of its potential buyers. They will offer the phone upwards, no questions asked, for a pittance and work as the buyer begins to understand how little value the locked phone to her.

Small consolation, I know. The sophisticated system is no match for a determined thief. We are and always will be, responsible for the physical security of all their personal property, regardless of their purchase price.

Hope Apple can or any other manufacturer of hand held devices to ensure their safety? We flight since the beginning of time.

Apple has no magic solution for this. What they have done is to protect your data and make an attempt to reduce the value of iPhones stolen to some extent.

When and maybe if the buying public stops paying for locked phones, the system will "work".

  • iPhone stolen after 6 + transition

Hi all. Two weeks ago my iPhone 6 +, last updated to iOS, was stolen.  Erased from the iPhone, but still have to remove it to approved Apple devices.  Have an old 4s, disabled, I want to reactivate and use until I have buy the latest iteration of the iPhone.  Questions: 1) once the 6 + is removed from the list of approved devices will continue to function as nothing more than a pretty paper weight or can it be used as a new iPhone?, 2) is there a high probability of data on the iPhone are accessible even when correctly deleted?, 3) when 6 + is disabled and reactive to 4s will would be able to accept most standard applications Apple from 6 + when I restore or restore 6 + 4 s data more involved?  Thanks in advance.

It is not possible for anyone to enter your iCloud and turn it off unless you have your password Apple ID. It is possible that they sent you a phishing email that looked like it came from Apple in order to trick you into clicking on a link in the email which redirects you to a site that looks like Apple. If you have done that and entered your password, so that they would have it. The two following links may be useful:

  • IPhone stolen-do I need a new Apple ID?

Phone was stolen today. He always says 'offline' and I set up a request for deletion but its still pending. pretty sure that never see the phone but my biggest concern is the following:

If when I buy a new iPhone and set up on my willingness to icloud who automatically cancel my request 'clear' with the stolen phone? This allows thieves to enter into the phone and get all the news they want (info Bank, ect...). Apple told me to NOT to delete this device from my apple ID and mark a new apple with my new phone ID, and I can't erase this apple ID, once I see that the phone is active and deleted.

    confused. Help!

You will not have a new Apple ID. Adding to your Apple ID to a new iPhone cancel not all orders for your other iPhone.  The only representative who gave you the Council to create a new Apple ID was wrong to encourage you to do so. https://appleid.Apple.com/FAQ

How Apple ID do I need?

Just a. Use Apple everywhere the same ID wherever you log to ensure that all your Apple services and devices work together seamlessly, and you can access your content personal to all your devices.

If you still have access to your current account, and that you have invited a deletion on the other iPhone there is no way for a person in possession of it to access your e-mail account. Extra precaution, it would not be a bad idea to update the security on your account, if you don't have already done.

  • IPhone stolen 4S free find my iPhone

My iPhone 4S on iOS9 was stolen from me as I was getting on a bus the other day, but it didn't find my iPhone installed so I can't remove my data. The device has a password, but it is relatively easy to guess. Is there a possibility that the thief could access my notes/photos? There are many screenshots containing confidential information cannot be changed on the device and I'd appreciate it stays like that.

Sorry to say but yes that it is possible the thief could access the data if the access code is easy to guess. Not much that can be done about it without finding my iPhone activated.

  • What can do you when your iPhone is stolen?

    Hey people,

I'm a Swedish citizen living in Stockholm, Sweden. A few weeks ago, my iPhone 6s got stolen in one of the Central parks here. I contacted local authorities and my phone carrier with my IMEI number and I got a new phone through my insurance.

Now what's happened today which was suddenly on my new iPhone, I got this message that someone was trying to connect to my Apple ID. IPhone stolen 6s, which had not shown on "Find my iPhone" because it has been taken from me, arises suddenly near Dallas, US of all places! A few seconds later, it was gone and I never had the chance to do a print screen of it. Also, I received an email from Apple telling me that someone had used my ID to download iMove on a different device.

I changed the password to my Apple ID about three times today and I wonder if there is something else I should or can do? Since the stolen phone will not be displayed on the list of devices in "find my iPhone" I feel like there is not much I can do by myself.

    See you soon.

I replaced an iPhone stolen with a brand new 6 iPhone.  I do not have a backup to restore from, but I had contacts and available icloud applications.  When I used this new device at home, he was able to access my home WiFi network password protected without providing me the password.

How is that possible?  How a new device came my WiFi password, apparently to iCloud?

You have settings > iCloud > lit keychain?

The wifi password is stored in the keychain, and if you synchronize via iCloud Keychain it would be available for the new phone.

    @Santonio99

You probably bought an iPhone stolen 6. Mine was stolen in Barcelona in Spain on June 10 by a pick-pocket. Fortunately, there is absolutely nothing you can do to make an iPhone locked to the activation of the work.  You have a paper weight.
