iphoto 7.1.5 update

Hello

I want to update iphoto 7.1.5 to a newer version, but I don't know how to do it.

I am running osx on a macbook 4,1 10.6.8 (since 2008 I guess) - 2.1 GHz core 2 duo with 4 GB of ram.

I can't find it on the app store, and if I download an update on apple's site, it does not install.

Thanks for your help

You can buy a DVD of iLife 09 or 11 from a source like Amazon or eBay.

  • iPhoto went after I updated my OS to El Capitan

Before upgrading my Macbook Pro, I had iPhoto and he had pictures in it. After that I upgraded to OS X El Capitan iPhoto is gone, also when I get on the app store its not available.

If I re install, I find my photos in there? (I don't think right then?)

Your photos have not been preserved in iPhoto, but in the iPhoto library.  This is what we need.  Generally, your iPhoto library that are in the folder "Images". Is this what?

El Capitan has new Photos for Mac application. It will be able to open your iPhoto library, if you find it.

Did you erase your Mac for a clean install, when you went to El Capitan?   Then restore your backup iPhoto library.

You can continue to use iPhoto, if you had been using iPhoto 9.6.1.  This version is compatible with El Capitan.  Check in your Applications folder, if iPhoto is still there.

The AppStore sells more iPhoto, is because it is is more developed.

  • The iPhoto v8.1.2 update

I understand to get iPhoto to work on El Capitan, I need to upgrade to the latest version. My problem seems to be that the version I have is the original that came preinstalled on my macbook pro (v8.1.2). I can not find the new version of the App Store, or I can post it on my account. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you-

Sorry, but if you do not use a version of iPhoto 9.x before the upgrade, you won't be able to upgrade now.

To use iPhoto on El Capitan, update iPhoto version 9.6.1.

If you don't have day before the upgrade of the El Capitan, see: user tip Barney: cannot be updated iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store#.

The El Capitan upgrade removes just the iPhoto in the Dock icon. Have you looked into your Applications folder, if iPhoto is still there?

photos merged to Photo app, how to restore? Another operating system it will correct?

You can open the iPhoto library in pictures by dragging the icon in the Dock of Photos in the iPhoto library.

It requires that the library is on a compatible player.  The library must be on a local drive mounted, not a NAS, and file system must be in Mac OS extended (journaled). The reader doesn't have to be a Time Machine drive.

What version of iPhoto created your iPhoto library.  If the version of iPhoto is iPhoto 7.1.2 or more, you must prepare the iPhoto with iPhoto Library upgrade library.    iPhoto 11: on the development of library

  • Missing photos since the update

I've updated to Sierra yesterday. After which, I went back to edit the new pics I just took, who had already been downloaded before update. When I opened the Photos to do it, I noticed that at least 80% of my photos was vignettes with a gray triangle and an exclamation point. Once clicked on, some of these pictures would be present. However, the sticker remained as this triangle when I'm back in the folder. I tried to repair library (opening ⌘⌥) but that didn't work. I will add that I have not used iPhoto since the last update, so I don't think that this has nothing to do with this, as several of these photos have been imported directly from the picture source.

Can anyone help? I make sure I have access to these photos.

what you put in? Did you recently do any cleaning disc or run any cleanup as CleanMyMac software?

If you rotatate one and then turn it back - what is fix? You can export to one of these pictures (menu, file == > export)?

  • Desperate: iPhoto for pictures

I tried to put my old IPhoto library on a new drive of Toshiba, in the format of newspaper expanded and then tried to drop and drag it in Photos. No dice.

I'm always in Yosemite, because my iPhoto went with the update of Maverick (still angry that there was no big warning, missed on this subject).

So, in short: my photos are saved and external disk on a Time Capsule. How in tarnation do, in Photos?

    Best regards,

    spencejam

Try running the Photos while holding down the button options, until you see the selector library panel. Select the library on your Toshiba drive. Does it work? If this is not the case, what happens?

What version of iPhoto you use? This was iPhoto 7.1.2 or more, you need. To run the iPhoto library upgrades to prepare for the library for the migration to the Photos.

  • iPhoto 11

I have a Macbook Pro 13 ", which came with OS Snow Leopard. I recently updated to OS X El Capitan and noticed that iPhotos has been replaced by pictures. Initially, I had the version 8.1.2 iPhotos and need to update to iPhoto 11 in order to synchronize the pictures on my blackberry. However, whenever I try to update, it tells me that there are no iPhoto in store for my country. I tried to change the country, but it is not yet available. What can I do?

Unless you already had a version of iPhoto 9 on your MBP and it was updated at some point through the App Store, you will not be able to get iPhoto 9.6.1.

iPhoto is no longer supported by Apple.  Is no longer able to order prints, books, cards, or calendars to print product from Apple Store.

Your only recourse is to downgrade you return system to Snow Leopard via your Time Machine backup or other moving forward and use Photos. Have you tried to use the Photos to sync with your phone?

You may need to use iTunes to synchronize the selected albums of pictures on your phone.

  • How to open iPhoto library in v8 v9?

I got a library that kept crashing v8.1.2 iPhoto on my OS X 10.8.5 system. I opened a copy of the library on a system of 10.9 with iPhoto v9, and after "update", it works very well - no crashes. I need to work on 10.8.5,, but iPhoto v9 will not work on this OS.  Assuming that the question was something of a contradiction in my library and not a bug in iPhoto v8, is it possible to somehow convert return my library now cleaned back to iPhoto v8.1.2 can open it?

In addition, are there versions of iPhoto v8 above 8.1.2 - maybe I can get the most recent that is compatible with my 10.8.5 system.

iPhoto v8.1.2 was the last version of than iPhoto.

iPhoto v9 will run on 10.8.

You can not NWB a v9 v8 library, but you can try to "regression" of the iPhoto Library Manager library

A word that I used a mini mac running 10.7.5 with iPhoto and I tried to launch iPhoto on it and got the same error message.

    Thank you

    Martin

iPhoto versions 9.5.1 old ones don't work anymore, if you have never enabled the places in iPhoto feature, because Apple has not renewed the contract with Google to access servers in places.

This user tip explains a little background, why crashes in iPhoto, see this link: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-9421

iPhoto 9.4 crashing during playback of the scene

He explains how patch the iPhoto application to prevent it from crashing by removing the html files in-house with java code.

If iPhoto not to crash, when you disable the network and work offline, you probably encounter the problem described in this thing.

Is no longer entirely, older versions of iPhoto are supported, the best solution would be updated to El Capitan, and iPhoto 9.6.1 - this version didn't need glasses of servers. (but the iPhoto 9.6.1 update will be possible, if you have a version of the AppStore in iPhoto).

Apple now supports only the News Photos for Mac application, that comes with El Capitan and Yosemite. You will not be able to order print iPhoto, independent of the version products.

If I finally Install iLife 11 in an October 2009 running 10.8.5 iMac which is now the version of iPhoto 8.1.2, can update iPhoto using the software update or the App Store?

It is too late; We can give you the option Update the iLife via the Mac App Store applications, but not to convert Mac App Store releases or update iPhoto spent 9.4.3.

  • iPhoto 1.2 does not work with El Capitan and 'Help' pages ignored by Apple!

Update to Apple iPhoto with El Capitan on a MacBook Pro is a disaster: it is a completely new version with NO INSTRUCTIONS! It is impossible to edit uploaded photos, events seems to have totally disappeared and the news of 'Help' are a joke. Also, Apple do not answer questions, such as this, put online.

It must be a solution or inline instruction manual, but where is it please!  Thank you very much!

Photos for Mac is not an iPhoto update, it is a completely different application.  You open iPhoto libraries in Photos, but the photo library will turn it into albums iPhoto events, because there is no events.  Photos creates rather Moments based on the date and place, and they are created automatically.

Take a look at the online help: Help the Photos

And also: How Photos handles content and metadata for iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

You can continue to use iPhoto.  9.6.1 iPhoto works well on El Capitan.

The EL Capitan upgrade uninstall not iPhoto. Open the Applications folder and drag iPhoto to the dock.  If the icon is blocked, try updating to iPhoto 9.6.1:

If you have a version of the AppStore in iPhoto, you can try updating iPhoto to 9.6.1 iPhoto as described by Barney:

  • Photos and synchronization

I don't know how screwy this will sound, but my iPhone is not synchronize photos correctly on my external hard drive.

I have a MacBook Pro and transferred my library iPhoto for external hard drive to save space on the laptop. Recently, when I plug in my phone and it opens iPhoto to transfer videos and images, he dig up really old photos and request to save because they are new. How can I stop this? I don't know if it's important, but I'm on a plus of 6 s. thank you for any help you can provide.

You mention "iPhoto".  iPhoto has not been updated for about 18 months.  The photo management currently supported in OS X app is Photos.

What version of Mac OS X are you using?  What version of iTunes are you using?  Why you don't use Photos after all this time?
