IPlayer

My laptop is connected to my TV to watch iplayer. A week ago it suddenly stopped working. During startup, the screen will display, but as soon as the main screen on the laptop, the TV turns off.

  • BBC iplayer is not AirPlay APPLETV since recent iOS upgrade 9.3.3. I used 2 iPads and 2 iPhones to do for at least two years, but now all content not mirroring BBC iplayer blocking Apple TV... Netflix still works!

    I used AirPlay Apple TV from Mac, iPad and iPhone without a problem for a while. Recently, just after the update to iOS 9.3.3 BBC iPlayer will not AirPlay without mirroring. If the mirroring, content blocks once streaming begins. All the settings are correct for the network and devices. Everything is up-to-date with the latest versions. Other media such as Netflix and Filmon still AirPlay perfectly if I suspect a conflict between BBC iplayer (who has not had an update for several weeks) and iOS 9.3.3 (which has been updated a few days ago and coincides with the beginning of the problem). Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if so, found a fix?

    Thank you

    Equipment: Air of iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4s, 5s, gen Apple TV 3 iPhone, iMac 21, MacBook Air 13, Wifi lan 12 + Mbps.

    No, I cannot repeat your experience, your questions seem to be unique to you and your establishment.

    Try these steps, check to see if things work after each step if necessary, before you try the next.

    1. Check AirPlay is on the Apple TV (turn market if it already is)
    2. Check that both devices are on the same network (settings > Wifi on the mobile device and the settings > general > network, on the Apple TV).
    3. Restart the Apple TV (settings > general > restart).
    4. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL cables for 30 seconds.
    5. Restart your router. (Also try to remove the power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    6. Restart your computer or mobile device.

    If you're still having problems, try to use 802.11n for wifi if you currently use 802. 11B or 802. 11 g.

    If your problem is AirPlaying starting a computer, try turning off bluetooth

  • Why when I download to iPlayer immediately opens tabs masses

    I'm afraid that my technical knowledge is so limited at some point during the download iPlayer he asked a question about the file association that me puzzled. After reviewing for a while I decided to associate it with Firefox, it was a mistake. It is resulted in when I tried to download a TV program of iPlayer it literally opened many tabs a second. I uninstalled iPlayer and downloaded again, and he never this time asked any question about the file association. Have downloaded correctly, but it still shows the fault in question, the ever multiplying tabs.

    Firefox is my default browser and I am the computer under Windows 8.1 64 bytes. For the purposes of downloading I use IDM.

    I would be very grateful for your help in this matter.

    Kind regards

    John Daniels

    You get tabs for opening constantly if you select the Firefox program to manage a file when you get an 'Open with' dialog box.

    You will need to cancel this choice.
    If you can't do this via "tools > Options > Applications", then you will need to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all download actions.

    You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

  • BBC iPlayer

    If you connect the last Apple TV hardware to a non Smart TV, you can

    A: display and play the BBC iPlayer.

    B: Save programs on BBC iPlayer on a connected DVD recorder and save them for later viewing

    Trying to work around the limitation of the duration that the BBC gives to its downloads.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    circumvention of the nothing smart AppleTV on your TV to use it as a screen only

    If bbc made an app for the new appletv then Yes, otherwise you will have to rely on mirror airplay since another device ios except bbc block airplay of the ios app

    (B) I would say no, think the bbc player would use the DRM encryption to block just something to do.

    also don't know if I have the desire to do this as far as I know so the iplayer is not on the live broadcast, but roughly on the live streaming of the registration request to which case would hold no merit unless we would not watch everything being offline.

  • BBC iPlayer works only with v31.0

    I've seen a few questions similar to this so I know that I am not alone in this. When I am watching BBC iPlayer online, after no more than a minute or two - sometimes sooner than that - he apparently will start to buffer, but will not continue. After awhile, it will throw an error "content not available". If I go back since the beginning, it does not start from the point should be in the live broadcast, it starts from the point at the beginning, I started trying to watch and freezes at the same point, that is, he's stuck on a small loop.

    Nothing breaks the loop. Restarts, cache, compensation, etc., etc., nothing. Curiously, the no problem with playback of programmes broadcast from the library of the iPlayer. No buffering, nothing, works exactly how it should, and exactly how live streaming was working until recently.

    What did I try? All the things proposed in other responses. From Firefox in safe mode, the flash version-checking, disable hardware acceleration in flash, reset default Firefox. Nothing works

    What works, without posterity, is iPlayer through Chrome, so the problem is not my laptop, iPlayer, my internet or likely Flash so what is the problem with FF?

    HELLO hemingway.
    I understand that there is a problem with the bbc player and that the error message "content not available" when you view videos. I also understand that you have tried all basic troubleshooting steps.

    Have you updated graphics drivers? Update your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL

    If that's not enough, please also consider filing a bug in bugzilla.mozilla.org with details of what you are experiencing in Mode safe.

  • iPlayer doesn't work - suddenly - I have tried many

    iPlayer seems very strange - in all browsers, as if it were an accessible version. the bbc cannot help. I tried reinstall old version of adobe air and the new version of java script and flash player - without success. at the bottom the iplayer says:

    This page is optimized for a browser update with stylesheets (CSS) active. While you will be able to view the content of this page in your current browser, you will not be able to get the full visual experience. Please consider upgrading your browser software or turn on style sheets (CSS) so you are able to do. »

    I have 25 firefox and IE 10, so my question is how to enable style sheets? I tried the solution via the view menu, but who already has the value "basic page style."

    What else can I try? Thank you!

    Many stylesheets load from a different server:

    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://static.bbci.co.uk/frameworks/barlesque/2.58.1/desktop/3.5/style/main.css"  />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://static.bbci.co.uk/iplayer/3.68.1/style/episode/utilities.css"  />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://static.bbci.co.uk/bbcdotcom/0.3.212/style/3pt_ads.css"  />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://static.bbci.co.uk/iplayer/3.68.1/style/iplayer-min/global_iplayer.css"  />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://static.bbci.co.uk/iplayer/3.68.1/style/drawers/drawers.css"  />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://static.bbci.co.uk/iplayer/3.68.1/style/episode/episode.css"  />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://static.bbci.co.uk/iplayer/3.68.1/style/drawers/overlays.css"  />

    When these content 'third party' do not load, this can be caused by filtering applications in some way. This could be as simple as blocking third-party cookies, or something more complex. In another thread, we found no way for a user to have its Firefox retrieves the content of third parties without a first visit a link on the other server directly.

    You can check your cookie settings? This article describes Options article: Web sites say cookies are blocked - pledge.

    If this didn't help, try to visit one of the links above (they are just pages of style rules) and then return to the page and see if that makes a difference.

  • Failed to read on my Firefox OS ZTE open BBC radio. - either through radio or iplayer home pages. Any suggestions?

    Like my Firefox OS ZTE open, but for some reason any, it will play not all BBC radio content - via the BBC Iplayer or websites individual BBC station links. This problem occurs if I access the BBC directly, or through TuneIn app.

    For the BBC website, I think it's in flash and FFOS (like iOS I think) does not flash.
    I don't know about tuneIn, I found on the market.

  • BBC iPlayer TV Live plays not not in Firefox

    I can receive BBC iPlayer catch-up and Live TV on my desktop of Windows 7 without problem using Firefox 20.0. My laptop and Notebook also run in Windows 7 and seem to be set up just like my PC. However, I can't get BBC Live TV using Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer 10. I get the message "content is not working. My download speed is not the problem. • The BBC iPlayer no longer works on Firefox despite works perfectly on IE. I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player, but it is no different.

    The window of the iPlayer is, but the circle of "loading" then go round and round and round forever. I am trying to listen to the radio, not to watch television. IE no difficulty - I hate just to use it.

    I went to two different pages - Desert Island Discs on Radio 4 and one of history those. I don't have to listen, but to listen again. I just clicked on the "listen" icon and a new window comes up with the information at the top and the bar that shows the program playing never appeared - as I said, the continuous circle just go round and round for ever. I thought I was pretty clear in my original view that everything worked perfectly fine on IE but I want it to work on Firefox, so I'm not sure what your comments about Ubuntu have to do with what whatsoever.

             As I've said, for reasons unknown it's suddenly started working.

  • Toshiba 46WL863 & iPlayer is not supported?

    When changed BBC iPlayer last year my TV 46WL863 said that iPlayer was not supported for a short period of time. Then when I checked again a few days later he has worked and has been working for months with no problem.

    Suddenly, he began by saying that the BBC iPlayer is not yet supported. I checked the devices supported on the iPlayer website and the 46WL863 is listed as being supported. Why my TV now says that it is not?

    Any help appreciated

    I checked the list of certified devices and your device is there.

  • Issues streaming Netflix, IPlayer IPad to Apple TV etc

    No idea why I can't get content from applications such as the Iplayer streaming (the content begins to play and looks like it will come back on Apple TV but then stops and the content stops mirroring) and Netflix (I get the error message "this content cannot be read just after I clicked on the icon Apple TV). Both apps work fine and content play normally if at play on the iPad. I made sure both the Apple TV and my ipad has the most up-to-date software. Both devices are managed through my home wifi connection.

    Streaming from these applications only became a problem in the past two months; before that, we were able to observe the contents of two these apps on Apple TV. Any help would be appreciated!

    Why not just use the app Netflix on ATV?

  • Toshiba 46YL863B - icon no. BBC iPlayer under "connected TV".

    Hope someone can help me with this problem.

    Toshiba support have tried but not managed to resolve the issue.

    I have a Toshiba smart TV model 46 YL863B. Until recently I was not connected to the internet so I had no opportunities for connectivity to the TV, but now I am connected.

    When I select menu and move the icon "Connected TV", it should, I am told by Toshiba support, being 3 icons above her:-BBC iPlayer, Toshiba Places & YouTube.

    My problem is that there is no BBC iPlayer icon, only Toshiba Places & YouTube!

    Go to Toshiba places gets me a BBC iPlayer icon but select this only gives me a message to the player access is available via the menu - Connected TV, and via BBC iPlayer over her icon. But he's not here!

    I updated the software on the network and also downloaded the update on a USB and tried this method.

    Toshiba seem to be able to tell me how just install the BBC iPlayer, but just repeat that I should update the software I did.

    Please, anyone got any ideas that it must be possible to install the iPlayer_ of the _just?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Are you using the right country and language settings?
    My knowledge of the incorrect country/region settings can affect the use of smart TV applications.

    In addition, I found an article how to get BBC iPlayer on your TV Toshiba

    Here you can also find another tip that I found on the page area to help Toshiba:

  • NB200 - choppy playback Office of BBC iPlayer

    Hello

    I just bought a notebook nb200. I'm very happy with it. I bought it like all the comments said that she played the contents of the BBC iPlayer without problem. It's true, but I also downloaded the "BBC iPlayer Desktop" application, so I can download shows and watch them on the train where there is no internet.

    Unfortunately, I found that the downloaded shows are stuttery and jumpy. I put the battery on max performance usage profile and still the problem remains.

    Is that what I can do to boost performance slightly to make the video play smoothly? Normal streaming iPlayer and mpg divx movies play fine. It's just the BBC iPlayer desktop stuff that I have problems with.

    Any ideas would be really appreciated.

    Jonny

    The previous Atom CPU cannot make quality/high-resolution video effectively, so either the video format is too demanding (choose a lower if possible video resolution), or you must use more efficient codecs.
