Toshiba 46YL863B - icon no. BBC iPlayer under "connected TV".

Hope someone can help me with this problem.

Toshiba support have tried but not managed to resolve the issue.

I have a Toshiba smart TV model 46 YL863B. Until recently I was not connected to the internet so I had no opportunities for connectivity to the TV, but now I am connected.

When I select menu and move the icon "Connected TV", it should, I am told by Toshiba support, being 3 icons above her:-BBC iPlayer, Toshiba Places & YouTube.

My problem is that there is no BBC iPlayer icon, only Toshiba Places & YouTube!

Go to Toshiba places gets me a BBC iPlayer icon but select this only gives me a message to the player access is available via the menu - Connected TV, and via BBC iPlayer over her icon. But he's not here!

I updated the software on the network and also downloaded the update on a USB and tried this method.

Toshiba seem to be able to tell me how just install the BBC iPlayer, but just repeat that I should update the software I did.

Please, anyone got any ideas that it must be possible to install the iPlayer_ of the _just?

Thank you.

Hello

Are you using the right country and language settings?
My knowledge of the incorrect country/region settings can affect the use of smart TV applications.

In addition, I found an article how to get BBC iPlayer on your TV Toshiba

Here you can also find another tip that I found on the page area to help Toshiba:

But these items generally describe the same solutions you have already posted in the thread

I can confirm that I have the same problem, noticed today (same date as the post office).

I checked for an update of the firmware, but apparently he is not a (I'm on version 1.10 apparently) and carried out a complete reset without result.

I also notice that the problem of page not found in safari browser when you try to create a new account to Toshiba as part of the restart procedure is still broken (it never worked for me since I had the player).

I did a complete reset and that did not solve the problem. Interestingly, the date at the top of the portal is showing 1 January; which is interesting, given that it is March.

  • BBC iplayer is not AirPlay APPLETV since recent iOS upgrade 9.3.3. I used 2 iPads and 2 iPhones to do for at least two years, but now all content not mirroring BBC iplayer blocking Apple TV... Netflix still works!

I used AirPlay Apple TV from Mac, iPad and iPhone without a problem for a while. Recently, just after the update to iOS 9.3.3 BBC iPlayer will not AirPlay without mirroring. If the mirroring, content blocks once streaming begins. All the settings are correct for the network and devices. Everything is up-to-date with the latest versions. Other media such as Netflix and Filmon still AirPlay perfectly if I suspect a conflict between BBC iplayer (who has not had an update for several weeks) and iOS 9.3.3 (which has been updated a few days ago and coincides with the beginning of the problem). Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if so, found a fix?

    Thank you

No, I cannot repeat your experience, your questions seem to be unique to you and your establishment.

Try these steps, check to see if things work after each step if necessary, before you try the next.

    1. Check AirPlay is on the Apple TV (turn market if it already is)
    2. Check that both devices are on the same network (settings > Wifi on the mobile device and the settings > general > network, on the Apple TV).
    3. Restart the Apple TV (settings > general > restart).
    4. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL cables for 30 seconds.
    5. Restart your router. (Also try to remove the power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    6. Restart your computer or mobile device.

If you're still having problems, try to use 802.11n for wifi if you currently use 802. 11B or 802. 11 g.

If your problem is AirPlaying starting a computer, try turning off bluetooth

circumvention of the nothing smart AppleTV on your TV to use it as a screen only

If bbc made an app for the new appletv then Yes, otherwise you will have to rely on mirror airplay since another device ios except bbc block airplay of the ios app

    (B) I would say no, think the bbc player would use the DRM encryption to block just something to do.

also don't know if I have the desire to do this as far as I know so the iplayer is not on the live broadcast, but roughly on the live streaming of the registration request to which case would hold no merit unless we would not watch everything being offline.

  • BBC iPlayer ATV4 - you can download programs?

Can you download programs on the ATV4 using the BBC iPlayer app?

I gave up using Airplay on my ATV3 long ago and now connect my Mac HDMI because it is much more stable and the quality is exceptional. But I don't like streaming and prefer to download everything first. If I can download programs using the ATV4 iPlayer app so I'll probably have the ATV4; If this isn't the case, then I will probably go for a TV of fire from Amazon.

Can you download programs on the ATV4 using the BBC iPlayer app?

    N °

But I don't like streaming and prefer to first download

BBC iPlayer lets you download and store the content, but it does not allow content to spread faster it is played, so build a buffer. In addition streaming nothing of AirPlay, it uses only 1/3 bandwidth and does not have the same questions. BBC iPlayer has never been a problem for me on my Apple TV.

  • BBC iplayer downloads

I enjoyed downloading the programs of bbc iplayer until recently (2 weeks ago it started). After exhausting all avenues of help via the bbc website, that I have yet to solve the problem, can anyone help me please?

Firstly, I download the program on my desktop iplayer then I try to download programs that now, I can't do?

    Help please?

    Hello

    1. what browser do you use?
    2. do you get error messages when you try to play the multimedia content in the iplayer?

Method 1: Uninstall BBC iplayer and restart your computer.
You can check the link below:
    Uninstall or change a program
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program
    Once please restart your computer.

Method 2: Disable the Windows Firewall software and anti-virus
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 3: Download and reinstall iplayer by clicking on the link below:

Another attempt to launch iplayer and check with the question.

    I hope this helps!
  • BBC iPlayer does not directly load from my Firefox menu bar

I can't load the sites of BBC iplayer directly from my bookmarks menu which is frustrating. I to the home/root of BBC iplayer homepage and access the site specific for example BBC One from there.

    It works very well.

Can anyone tell how I can solve this problem in the case otherwise I will need to go the browser of Microsoft Edge.

Hi, sorry for the delay. BBC1 works for me a bookmark - http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone

So to remove all references to the BBC, as indicated under the heading "How to remove a single website to my story?" in this article - delete navigation, search and download history on Firefox, then try again the site (not related to an old favorite). Note: It may take a few minutes to complete the removal.

  • "This content is not working" BBC iPlayer on Windows 8

Original title: iPlayer on Windows 8

I have a Fujitsu "Lifebook" running Windows 8. At first, I had no problems streaming the BBC iPlayer. However, it seems more to be able to do. I have only a short distance in any program was getting the message 'this content doesn't seem to work. It's a new laptop barely a month. What is the most likely cause and is there a solution?

    Hi Ron,

-How exactly do you use BBC iPlayer? Have you downloaded the desktop version, or using it in a web browser?

    -What is your default browser?

    Here are a few things you can try;

Note: If you use Internet Explorer as the default browser, and then you try the following steps.

    - Delete temporary Internet files.

    1. Open Internet Explorer.

    2. Click on the Tools button , and then click Internet options.
    3. Click on the general tab, and then, under browsing history, click settings.

    4. In the settings dialog box, click Show files. Remove all files and folders in the Temporary Internet Files folder.

    5. On the tab general, under history, navigation, click on remove and delete browsing history, and check.

    -Update of flash player.

If you use the desktop version of BBC iPlayer on the computer, and then uninstall and reinstall the program and check if it makes a difference.

If the problem persists, please post this question in the BBC support forums to check if there is no fix that they can help you.

  • Problems with BBC iPlayer Desktop and Adobe Air for Mac

I would be grateful to anyone who can help me with a problem I have on my laptop computer running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3.I has problems running BBC iPlayer Desktop, and I suspect that it is caused by Adobe Air.

Recently, I was invited to update Adobe Air to the latest version (from February 2012) and after I updated the program, it started to cause problems when I used BBC iPlayer desktop.

The first problem is that I was unable to play any programs downloaded mode full screen-, I have noticed that the sound is played, not the video.

Secondly, a few weeks after the beginning of this problem, all my TV programs have mysteriously disappeared.

My last problem is that whenever I run the BBC iPlayer application it is impossible to download new programs - when I am connected to the internet, the application always says he's 'offline '.

I tried to solve the problem by rebooting my computer, uninstall and reinstall the BBC iPlayer, deactivation and reactivation of my firewall, connection to the internet in different places, but this has not solved the problem.

I tried to uninstall Adobe Air, but the installation package says it is "corrupted". So I tried to download and reinstall the application from the adobe website, but already, the computer recognizes that the application is installed. either - I can't uninstall or reinstall Adobe Air.

I contacted the support of BBC iPlayer and they are unable to help - direct me to your Web site. I have read several other topics of discussion published on this site but not found the solution that I'm looking.

Please some can help me to solve this problem, helping me to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Air for Mac?

I'm not very technical, mind - for example - I don't know what log files are or how to find them - so please explain as simply as possible.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

Could you try to delete the folder preferences of BBC iPlayer then restarting iPlayer to see if that helps?  You should be able to find this in ~/Library/preferences.  Find the folder from BBCiPlayerDesktop and a long series of characters and move or rename this folder.

    Thank you
    Chris

  • BBC iPlayer works only with v31.0

I've seen a few questions similar to this so I know that I am not alone in this. When I am watching BBC iPlayer online, after no more than a minute or two - sometimes sooner than that - he apparently will start to buffer, but will not continue. After awhile, it will throw an error "content not available". If I go back since the beginning, it does not start from the point should be in the live broadcast, it starts from the point at the beginning, I started trying to watch and freezes at the same point, that is, he's stuck on a small loop.

Nothing breaks the loop. Restarts, cache, compensation, etc., etc., nothing. Curiously, the no problem with playback of programmes broadcast from the library of the iPlayer. No buffering, nothing, works exactly how it should, and exactly how live streaming was working until recently.

What did I try? All the things proposed in other responses. From Firefox in safe mode, the flash version-checking, disable hardware acceleration in flash, reset default Firefox. Nothing works

What works, without posterity, is iPlayer through Chrome, so the problem is not my laptop, iPlayer, my internet or likely Flash so what is the problem with FF?

    HELLO hemingway.
I understand that there is a problem with the bbc player and that the error message "content not available" when you view videos. I also understand that you have tried all basic troubleshooting steps.

Have you updated graphics drivers? Update your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL

If that's not enough, please also consider filing a bug in bugzilla.mozilla.org with details of what you are experiencing in Mode safe.
