iPOD, WiFi

Greetings,

I just won an iPOD Touch 8 g in a golf tournament and trying to connect to my home router.  It is to find the connection named "diane".  When I try to connect it asks for a password.  I tried everything I could think of, but nothing works.  My wife's cell phone (where 'diane') works excellent resistance with the routher but there is a problem with the Ethernet on the primary computer in the basement, so it has been disconnected internet/router for some time.  Is there a way to reset my router or do something else from my laptop Wi - Fi which will locate/change my router password and allow me to use my iPOD with my router home?

I hope someone can help me!

On your type of computer in "192.168.1.1".

He will ask for username and password

Default value is no username, password is admin.

Under the tab "wireless" then "Wireless Security", you can see the encryption type and password.

    question aside. second priority.

Although I have good equipment, the internet is quite slow.

I have the best service from my supplier that indicates it has up to 50 Mbit/s download speed.

I ran the speed test internet cisco and only got a maximum of 20 download and upload 5.

How can I speed this up?

I really appreciated all help I wouldn't have had to pay $ 30 for a a time phone supports no call for a service that is not of the same cisco.

First PC is fine, 2 XBOX connect correctly. There could be some settings of the computer that you are trying to connected to the router which prevents from connecting to the internet.

  • Connect wifi for stolen iPod Touch, lost mode

My son's iPod touch was stolen yesterday. Put us in lost mode (and communicated with the police), but my question is about the wifi connection. My thought is that there is no chance of track us, given that the iPod can not be connected to wifi, unless it is unlocked and that someone connects to it, correct? Unless the thief figures on his access code? Is there another way, the thief can access and connect? It's an iPod 5th generation Touch. I don't know what else to do at the moment, if anything. iCloud tells us just "offline."

    Thanks for the help.

There is nothing to do except wait.

In the meantime, I'll make sure accounts to all the online accounts (such as iTunes, credit cards, games, etc.) have their password changed. In this way, all account information is inaccessible to the thief.

  • Why a song on my iPod doesn't require WiFi to listen?

I bought a song from the iTunes store and then it synced to my iPod.  Now I'm listening to my iPod away from home and as the song says that it requires wifi in order to play.

She has been correctly downloaded to the device?

It comes via Apple music rather than your purchase?

  • IPOD Touch - not all songs play without WIFI?

Synchronize all my songs to our new IPOD touch by connecting IPOD to computer/ITunes, try to understand why some songs will play without WIFI and some (those who play will not have the little icon of the Ipod).  I thought he had to do if the song was purchased on ITunes, but not true.  I click on the button "Icloud", he turns to a circle with a button, as it's the download, but then it stops 1/2 way through.

    Try the following steps:

    On your computer:

    1. If you registered for the Apple's music, you can activate the library music iCloud.
    2. Click on the iTunes menu > Preferences.
    3. Scroll down and check the "show Apple music and iCloud music library check boxes.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Select all the pieces and add them to your library of music to iCloud.
    6. Once songs have been added to your iCloud music library, you can activate iCloud library of music on your iPod touch.
    7. On your iPod touch, tap Settings > music.
    8. Scroll down and tap on iCloud music library.
    9. A dialog box appears asking you if you want to murge your local and libraries of clouds or replace the library of your iPod with the library of cloud.
    10. Click on replace.

    To download songs:

    1. Open the music application.
    2. Press the tab my music at the bottom of your screen.
    3. Choose the songs, artists, albums and genres you want to download.
    4. Songs, albums, artists and genres are in different categories.
    5. Slide downwards on each song, artist or album and click more.
    6. A dialog box appears on your screen.
    7. Click on download.
    8. Restart iTunes. Quit iTunes, then open it again.
    9. Restart your iPod touch if necessary.

    Good luck!

Not knowing what the 'followed the steps posted' have been

The iOS device connects to other networks? If Yes, which tends to indicate a problem with your network.

The iOS device sees the network?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

  • iPod touch 4g can not find wifi 802.11n

If I put my 723v Speedport router to 802. 11A / n wifi only, my ipod touch 4 g can't find the network.

(Worked well for the ipod when the router is configured for 802.11b/g/n, but has been annoyingly slow on my Macbook Air of 2012 then)

I understand that the ipod touch 4g supports the standard right, wifi-n? So why he can not find the router when the value of a/d only?

801.11n can be used on the band of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band, but 11n is not necessary to support the two bands simultaneously.

Setting your router to 802. 11A / n (apparently) means, use only 5 GHz band with support from 11A and 11n.

    (11A uses 5 GHz only)

However, iPod touch 4G can only use 11 b/g/n on the 2.4 GHz band. He can't see 5 GHz Wi - Fi signal.

    (11b and 11g use 2.4 GHz only)

  • When I update my ipod touch iOS 9.2.1 my wifi stoped working

Have you tried to reboot the iPod at least?

  • The time on my Ipod will not change when its coastline, Wifi disconnects randomly, screen goes green and red and restart full iPod.

OK so this problem started about two days ago. I noticed that my time was off so I went to settings > General > Date and time. I changed the hour correctly but when I locked it and got out of her for a few minutes, it was always the same when I changed it. For example: this morning, back at the exact time that was at 10:41 20 minutes later, I changed my time and it was still stuck at 10:41 time will work properly if I am constantly on my IPod and do not block. I really need to use the alarm when I wake up every morning! I've tried everything to fix it, but nothing seems to work. Reset my IPod do not even help.

This issue has also started two days ago. I noticed that the wifi on my IPod touch 5th generation cut off while an application is open, but when I close it then connects back. It is only on my IPod, but not my IPad. It's pretty boring. I also tried to reset my router but it always disconnects.

The latest happened just yesterday. Again, I've tried my time is correctly set when all of a sudden half top of my screen turns red and turns green half lower. The screen then goes to black and my entire iPod restarts.

Thank you very much for the help. :-)

  • Why can I not listen to music without wifi on my new ipod touch.

I'm frustrated that I went out and bought a new ipod because that my last one broke, and I can't understand why I can't listen to my songs on it withought be connected to WIFI...

    Thank you!

You use an Apple music subscription or is this music that you own and synchronize was to the iPod via iTunes? If his music Apple so won't make music available for listening offline by downloading the songs?

If you have not connected to wifi in a while Apple music may require a temporary connection to validate that your subscription is still active, before he'll play songs downloaded offline. I don't know exactly how many times he needs to do this, but on my iPhone I can still play my downloaded music to Apple if I pass the iPhone in airplane mode.
