• ASA Version 9.0 (1) - Ping works both inside and outside, WWW does not work for remote VPN

  I am at a loss, I can connect VIA VPN and Ping inside the IPs (192.168.1.2) and outside (4.2.2.2) IPs of the remote VPN client, but can't surf WWW. Inside the network, all users have WWW access and the network is fine. I'm new on the revisions to ver 8.3 and don't see what I'm missing?

  Its propably because you do not have a DNS server configured for VPN users. Try this command:

   group-policy DfltGrpPolicy attributes dns-server value 8.8.8.8

  Is ASA 5500 series identical a PIX 515 or 525 or 535 with version 7.0... I still see some areas where it confused between version 7.0 of the PIX and ASA 5500 series... If not, what are the benefits of ASA 5500 on the PIX 7.0?

  ASA is not the same as PIX, ASA is different hardware architecture. Although both can run the same code. One of the benefits of the SAA is that you can have an IPS module in it to make the prevention of intrusions.

  I hope someone can help me to answer this question:

  Currently, we have redundant FWSM and consider a migration of standalone ASA 5500 series firewalls. However, we have a complete VMWare environment and look at the Nexus 1000V. I understand the Nexus 1000V and ESR architecture and implementation, and I don't understand that the ASA 1000V is designed for cloud environments. But I have a question about the ASA 1000V.

  Is it possible that a firewall series ASA 5500 be replaced by ASA 1000V? Basically, can an ASA 1000V to be a single firewall solution, or are that ASA 5500 is always necessary?

  Is there a datasheet anywhere that compares the ASA 1000V and ASA 5500 series?

  Depending on what you are using the ASA5500 series for now. If you use the ASA5500 for the remote access vpn and AnyConnect VPN, he will not rely on the first version of the ASA1000V yet.

  This State is reached when the policies of the phase 1 do not correspond to the two ends.

  Please confirm that you have the same settings of phase 1 on both sides with the following commands:

  See the isakmp crypto race

  See the race ikev1 crypto

  Also make sure that port UDP 500 and 4500 are open for communication between your device and the remote peer.

  Finally, make sure you have a route suitable for the remote VPN endpoint device.

• Remote IPSec VPN - client Windows 7 and ASA 5505

  I'm having trouble with configuring IPSec VPN with Cisco ASA 5505 and Windows 7 client native VPN remotely. My client PC Gets the VPN IP pool address and can access a remote network behind ASA, but then I lose my internet connection. I read that this should be a problem with the split tunneling, but I did as it says here and no luck.

  Windows VPN Client settings, if I uncheck "use default gateway on remote network" I have an internet connection (given that the customer is using a local gateway), but then I can't ping remote network.

  In the log, I see the warnings of this type:

  TCP connection of disassembly 256 for outside:192.168.150.1/49562 to outside:213.199.181.90/80 duration 0: 00:00 0 stream bytes is a loopback (cisco)

  I have attached my configuration file (without configuring split tunneling, I tried). If you need additional newspapers, I'll send them right away.

  That's what you would have needed on versions 8.3 and earlier versions:

  permit same-security-traffic intra-interface

  Global 1 interface (outside)

  NAT (outside) 1 192.168.150.0 255.255.255.0

  However I see that you are running 8.4 so I think that all you need is this (I never did on 8.4 so it may not be accurate)

  permit same-security-traffic intra-interface

  network of the NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.150.0_24 object

  dynamic NAT interface (outdoors, outdoor)

  Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

  I have a few years held of my iTunes library on a NAS server and you are using a PC and a Mac to access the library. When I switched from Mac to PC or PC to Mac program would take a few moments 'update library' and then work normally.

  Looks like you got the LabVIEW Student Edition Software Suite DVD.

  It comes with 6 boxes to tools, and the TME product, some (or all?) of those who are windows only (at least 8.5), for example:

  • Toolkit Digital Filter Design
  • Modulation Toolkit
  • SignalExpress
  • ...

  Since you have 8.5, you are missing also a few basic things that only recevied at the 8.6MAC support, like Mathscript, Control design and Simulation and native 3D graphics.

  I need to know the file current date/time number stamp and the version of "spoolsv.exe" in Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP2. My spooler file got corrupted and I need to know what that the stamp of date/time on the latest version of the file: spoolsv.exe. I did a search on my hard drive and found 8 copies of the file with 7 different dates. I need to know which copy in my file C:\windows\system32\. I suspect that the problem was caused by some kind of malware. I think that some of the different versions on my machine of the initial installation of the Vista, SP1 and SP2. 3 copies that would explain. I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work.
