irregular rectangular background in muse

Hi all

I have worked with muse for awhile now, I consider myself an intermediate user. Recently I spent through some web design patterns and noticed that some sites use a rectangle with effect of Parallax of irregular shape. I know not how they did the effect of Parallax, my question is how can I create irregular rectangles in muse?

I know I can create forms like this in illustrator, save it with a transparent background and then place it inside a div of muse box. My concern is with this method, I'm not sure if it would be insensitive. Is there some tools in muse i im just totally missing?

Is a good example of a Web site design that does something like this: Parasponsive

I understand that the link I shared is a wordpress theme, but I've seen web designs using shapes like that muse. What is the best way to achieve this?

MonkeysOnCrunk Do you mean the summits diagonally sliced rectangles? I don't see exactly how they do on this theme, summits are separated in the main part of the rectangle, so I guess it's an image file.

To re-create the effect of the Muse, adding a rectangle filled with a .png above the normal rectangle element image, the missing part would be just the transparency of the image. Like this:

I hope this helps.

  • Scaling of Images/background for Muse Pages

I work with Adobe Muse and have difficulty with sizes of web pages, especially when I try a sites page. For example, I have an a site page with images background four, one per page. (i.e. main image has, services a b picture, picture c and d image contact). I prepared my images, optimized for the web and put across the different sizes to see what works, like width 1100 pixels, height 600 pixels, then set and tested. Unfortunately, no matter what I change, the proportions always get screwed upward when I export the site. Image sizes are disabled or missing in some cases. Now, don't confuse this issue with mobile proportions. I know there are at least three designs; Mobile, Tablet and desktop. At this point, I just want to get office just before moving on. I looked at Lynda.com tutorials, even one on the sites of a webpage with Muse and this tutorial, the decorations were ALREADY perfectly proportioned. Both and the instructor does not mention how he got it. So please, can someone explain how to get the proportions of the image or a background page optimized for Web sites a page? Yes, I know screen everyone is different. I just want, more or less, as the user scrolls down, the background image or pages to be roughly one after another, instead of an unholy mess.

Absolutely useless. Learn the code from scratch. I regret wasting time with Muse I did. There is no substitute. Muse is a product that fails to respect what it promises.

  • Best way to continue the irregular gradient background

    Hello

What is the best way to continue /create/ gradient background background irregular /studio / for any photo?

I made a few attempts with content aware scale, but still I'm not able to achieve the best result.

I know it is better to have pictures in the first place just with full history, but unfortunately this is not always possible.

Here's a example with which I was suffering:

I want to create smooth continuous background at the top of the photo/all here continuing lightning of down: /

I often use the Edit > command auto-merge layers to do this:

1 unlock the background image in the window > layers panel.

    2. use the Rectangle (M) tool to select the area you want to remove the top of the photo.

    3. press BACKSPACE to delete (make transparent).

4 choose a good gradient background article lasso near the deleted area.

    5 Cmd/Ctrl + J to copy to a new layer.

    6. use the move (V) tool and the position in the transparent box, overlapping slightly with the existing background.

    7 Cmd/Ctrl + Alt + A to select the 2 layers.

    8 edit > auto-merge layers command.

    9 Cmd/Ctrl + E to merge the result.

    10. repeat 4-9, with another section, up to the completion.

The video widget does not ship natively with Muse, then, first of all you will need find out the author of the widget and then you can contact directly with them to get help on the widget and its work.

  • Body double background in Muse?

    Hello

Looking forward to the exit 'semi-official' Muse with Adobe Creative cloud in a week or two! I have not downloaded the beta, but have read a little the first tutorials and videos.

Just for the record, I'm NOT code-aversion and can look at html and CSS, play a bit with it. I am an intermediary encoder and use Dreamweaver a bit and can manually code some elemenrs if needed. Two issues of Muse:

    (1) I am about to build a pretty massive pop culture history site - however, targeting a certain audience niche - who will probably 100 to 200 pages total. There will be a lot of fun to design elements of the site (and a ton of pages in the design) and that's why I'm considering strongly Muse to build with... so I can just design, design and design not too hung up with coding. That being said, is there absolutely no way to access a 'code view' Muse, if I need to make features that Muse has not (yet)? Or I have to put the generated html code of Muse in Dreamweaver to manipulate the code, and then someow take the code back in Muse?

    (2) This brings me to my next question, a design element, I want to achieve this new site: a background of Body Double. That means, sums of a certain background image at the top of each page and then just below it will start a repeating background. A big (and better) explanation of this, and how it can be achieved with coding is to:

    http://jorenrapini.com/blog/CSS/double-body-background-CSS-trick

Would this feature already built in Muse, would be very helpful!

    Thanks, best,

    Digger

    # 1, it would be easier to answer if you gave some examples of such things, that you may feel you need to use hand coding to achieve. Symbolized_bar_code explained that muse edition generated code is really not a viable workflow. However, many things can be achieved by embedding code within the Muse via the function insert HTML snippets of code HTML and the possibility of adding code to the head section (which is not in Beta 7, but will be in the official press release that will be released in a week about).

#2 is easily achieved in Muse by using the combination of an image background browser should be aligned to the top center and vertically tiled and a rectangle of width 100% (created by simply drawing a rectangle that snaps to the edges left and right of the browser in Muse Design view area) on your page master (s) and set the background image to fill the rectangle (also set higher center-aligned).

  • How to keep the content on page centered Muse?

    http://tkrl.BusinessCatalyst.com/misc-clothing-designs.html

I do my personal website and I can't understand why when (on my touchpad - maybe not the traditional mouse) I slide right page moves on the centered content. I know that my background is big and pinned in the back--so that when people on bigger screens extend their screens it will not appear stupid gray background on Muse. Is there a way I can say Muse deny the bottom and just the content in the center of stay in the Center?

    Also - http://tkrl.businesscatalyst.com/index.html

This is the landing page, and this problem occurs. It is based on the same model - then why?

I believe you are referring to the navigation menu that remains on the page with the other scroll content page with the movement of the mouse. Both links work correctly with scrolling of content of page under navigation Ribbon.

Please let me know if I'm missing something here.

    Thank you

  • Place simple circles in Muse

I am tyring to place a simple background in Muse, I want it to appear between my header and footer. I drew the keyline header area down to the footer of keyline, but when I saw he is either locked to the header or the footer, but does not fill the space between the two, as required. I played with him for an hour now and can not understand the way we do. Similarly, with my menu widget, I have to take it on the edge of my page in order to get to the centre, otherwise it moves all the way on the side of the page?

Why are things simple but so complicated?

If you have the Sticky Footer option enabled in your Site/Page Properties properties, in this case your footer continues to move according to the browser screen height and content available on the page. Since a rectangle can be flexible horizontal (100% width) and not expand/collapse vertically to reach the foot of page (if it breaks down), there is always a chance, you will see the space between the rectangle and the footer. Is there a particular reason you do not want to use the browser option fill to the background of the browser?

For the number of menu, you will need to develop more before because it is not clear. The menu is pinned or using some movement of scrolling?

    Thank you

  • How to remove the transparent background of a circle shape

I tried desperately to create a circular logo of an icon in Photshop CS6. Unfortunately, I have to start with a rectangular background. After you have created the circluar icon I want to remove the canvas, leaving only the circular icon. I can't find a way to do it.

Everytime I try I get the shape of the canvas behind the icon logo.

Is there a way to reframe a circle? Launch a circular canvas? Help!

    Hello

As Charles said, it would be very helpful if you could post a screenshot. When you say 'rectangular background', do you mean the locked background layer that is in your layers panel when you create a new canvas? I posted a screenshot below.

If this is the case, you can simply remove the background layer. Unless you have an another background layer, this will leave you with a background transparent, essentially "withdrawal" of the area around your logo. Then, you would be able to save the file in a format that supports transparency (for example, .png).

Please post again if you want more details. Screenshots would be very helpful!

  • Picture has a black rectangular border should be fair selection

I cut a selection of an image in photoshop but choosing with the magic wand tool, then the copy in a new layer and the removal of the background, so there should be no background.  However, when I put the photo in an InDesign document, it shows with a black rectangular background.  How can I get rid of this?

    Thank you very much

    InDesign query.jpg

Try 'File--> Place' to put the image in the Indesign and then check.

If Possible, put the screen shot in what is going on.

  • Message switching of media

It's really wonderful that cameras can move from one SxS card to another when one is full.

However, a warning message appears in the VIEWFINDER before switching that is blocking the center of view. It is large, with a black rectangular background. The message I got was what seemed to be an eternity, but was most likely 15 seconds or more.

In any case I couldn't wish compose/focus for the time, the message was on the screen, and it's on the screen too long.

    Can it be disabled?

    See you soon.

Totally agree. Many of those messages should be more "transparent" so we can continue to work without a large black rectangle in the viewfinder!

My screen no longer displays the box blue rectangular background for the title under the icons.  How can I restore them?

Karl wrote: my screen no longer displays the box blue rectangular background for the title under the icons.  How can I restore them?

Hello, Karis, I don't know if this is your problem, but you can take a look at these settings and see.

Go to the Control Panel, system, Advance, Performance properties and in the window, make sure the setting to improve appearance is selected. If this is not the case select this setting, click on apply, then Okay, Okay and close on windows and the control panel.

Then on the desktop, place your cursor over an icon and see if the transparent box appears.
