Is a slot of G0/0 3845 in FPS for HIMI-only mode?

This was raised at a meeting when we debated on how to put an end to a WAN optical transfer procedure.  I guess I just assumed that the G0/0 slot in the 3845 would act as any other concert with a SFP port, but someone said they thought it would be for HIMI only.  I have not found any documentation to say one way or another, so I thought I'd throw in the community: only concerns the G0/0 slot mode SFP HIMI?

Of the, we don't have etherswitch modules in this router.

Thank you!

Justin

The reason why I asked because when I used the 3845 router I connected the router to another using FPS because we had a dark fiber.

The HIMI, if I understand the Cisco document, will allow a switch blade module uplink using this port.

Port SFP Gi0/0 is not a port HIMI only (which would be silly).  It can be used the way you want to act as a port HIMI.

  • Cannot configure VWIC-2MFT-T1 on 1841

I checked and double-checked before you buy and this card is obviously taken in charge on the 1841 for 'data only mode' which is all that I need.  I have 3 T1s multi-links mode and I want to use 2 of these cards (and 3 of the 4 ports) to support.  The problem is that, even if the HS INVENTORY finds the card, I can't spear the command "card type" to indicate I use it with a T1 - I get this:

    R3 (config) #card type t1 1 0

    ^

Invalid entry % detected at ' ^' marker.

So I tried to issue the command 'controller T1' and it does not recognize the slot as containing a map T1 (which makes sense since the order of the 'map' did not work).

I found many references to this map being supported in docs Cisco with a minimum OS around 12.2 (8) - it varies according to the chassis.  I can't find the required explicit OS for the 1841, which is a concern, but I use 12.4 (13r) VERSION SH T. finds "2 channeled T1/PRI ports" which is the card of the MFT.

Am I missing something? I need to get the interfaces configured on these maps series.  Thank you very much.

    Hello Dale,

If you use a VWIC-2MFT-T1, you're not supposed to use the 'card-type' for the map command is just a T1. Let's not forget that this command is used if the card has features of T1/E1; for example, if you were installing a VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1.

Then, you must configure the T1 controller to view the serial interface, as you can see in the example configuration:

    controller T1 0/1/0

    framing ESF

    linecode b8zs

    slots of channel-group 0 1 - 24

    !

    controller T1 0/1/1

    framing ESF

    linecode b8zs

    slots of channel-group 0 1 - 24

In this particular case, the card is installed in slot 1 of the WIC. If the card have been installed at location 0, the controller of numbering will be different because the number between slashes will be 0 (Controller t1 0/0/0 or 0/t10/1 controller)

If these commands are not difference, now, gather the following products:

    • See the version
    • Show diag
    • See the t1 controllers

  • Express card slot new dv7

I am awaiting delivery of a new dv7. My old laptop (old and still under Windows 98) had a PCMCIA slot I have a couple of cards for. My question is quite simple, the old PCMCIA cards will fall into the new Express card slot?

No, I'm sorry to say that they will not. Although most of the features that people used to use pcmcia cards is attended the computers internal laptop is still a rude awakening for a lot of people when they can use the old card mobile broadband on this new laptop and they must spend more money to get a usb or expresscard version.

I m not quite sure if a remote control is available for your notebook series but if it s is available, so you could order on a local ASP (certified partner).
If this part is not in stock, then the guys would be able to order it directly from Toshiba.

  • Satellite Pro 4200 recognize RAM only in the B slot

I have recently got a Satellite Pro 4200 and want to increase the memory up to 320 MB.
To start I bought a 128 MB module and have found that with a 64 MB module in a slot and the 128 MB in the other system only recognizes the module into the connector B.

Must the modules in the two slots be the same value for the system to recognize them? i.e. the 128 MB or two 64 MB.
If this is the case its OK but if it's not I don't want to buy another 128 MB module, if the location is unservicable.

    Thank you
    Billabilla.

    Hello

Wow Sat Pro 42000 is an oldie I didn t think someone using this mobile in the future, I mean it's a great laptop but the performance he is too weak to be present-days.
As far as I know the Satellite Pro 4200 was equipped with Mobile Intel Celeron 500 Mhz or with an Intel Pentium III 450 Mhz / 500 Mhz.

Pentium 450 Mhz CPU equipped units can be improved up to 320 MB. All other units can be upgraded up to 576 MB.

I think that the 64 MB module should not be removed!
You must use 64 MB + 128 MB or 256 MB or 512 MB (only for models with 500 Mhz processor).

    Hope this helps you

  • Is it possible to install a PCI-E on my motherboard slot if it is not a?

I have a rather interesting system, but it's just a little too old to have housing for new PCI Express video cards, I heard about a willingness to adapt this work? Or y at - it another way to upgrade the video card?

    Hello:

The slot PCIe is this slit is darker below and to the left of the square on board video aluminum finned radiator.

Your location PCIe is probably x 16 PCIe 1.1 and can run any x 16 PCIe 2.0 video card that remains within the limits of your diet.

You are right... PCI and PCIe connectors are not the same.

These 2 black slots little are the PCIe x 1 connectors and which are normally used to add network cards and audio.

The white slot on the bottom of the image is the PCI slot, and it can also be used for the network, audio cards, etc.

You want to use the large slot PCIe x 16 black to a video card to optimize the performance of a video card.

  • Upgrade of Qosmio F30/695LS (the slot with a weird module hard problem)

So I try to upgrade my laptop, its starting to show his age in this world or the very rapid evolution out. I want to add two 1 GB RAM cards. I read somewhere that 2 GB is memory max does anyone know if it is in terms of upgrade only or including 512 who comes standard? The cards must also be 200 pin DDR2 SO-DIMM, but I don't know how fast that is capable of confronting the laptop, I can put 800 MHz in there? Now, I had read that the manual except that it's like the laptop in Japanese! I'm also trying to add a second hard drive, there is a second location, but... There's something seriously weird sitting in there! Here are some pictures to help identify it:

For me, it seems to be a kind of a dummy module, but like I said I don't know noty - whatever it is, it causes a lot of problems - it can not be removed from the underside of the laptop, which means I have to open all and pull it out of the bottom of the keyboard (if that is even possible?) and I don't want to not pull something important on accidentally! Thus, any information would be very useful!

    Hello
If you want to upgrade the RAM for Qosmio F30, then you can use SO DIMM DDR2 533 Mhz PC2-4200

MODULES MUST BE ORDER AND INSTALLED in PAIRS for Dual Channel mode.

so, you can order the 2 GB kit (2 x 1 GB).

You must remove the old module 512 of your laptop, you can also see the speed written.

and on the strange object sitting in the slot of the HARD drive, I think it's a kind of wireless or Bluetooth card because there is an aerial cable attached to it, you can try to unplug the card and turn on your laptop and see if there are wireless devices or Bluetooth removed from the system.

also try to find what is written inside this card, a reference number or Description and post it to us.

This laptop sold in Japan only and that the specification is different from that which is sold in europe.

    Kind regards

  • Is the Satellite A200-10W supports a PCMCIA slot II type

I want to know if the side slot on the satellite A-200-10w is a PCMCIA type II port and if not, adapters external usb for the same thing?

    Hello Hari

Satellite A200-10W does not support PCMCIA location.
The A200 supports only the Express Card location that is placed on the left side for laptop.

    > I get external USB for the same (PCMCIA) adapters

Don t think so. I didn't see any USB key that would allow any PCMCIA interface.

But I rally don't know why you want to use a PCMCIA card if the Express card slot is available.
Using cards designed for Express card slot ;)

  • x 8 connection distance MXI causes conflicts with my on my Dell Precision T3600 PCI slot

    Hi all

The easiest to say is that I am migrating from a x 4 MXI explicit connection to an x 8 MXI express connection and when I do I get an error on the motherboard which is unable to load the single PCI slot.

Error in WIn7 64 bit Device Manager reports a yellow exclamation point

    Device "Intel (r) 82801 PCI Bridge - 244 properties"

The error listed in the device status box: "this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) »

Unfortunately, I need this slot machine to run a card calendar to conjucton with PXI hardware. There is no anomaly when I used the x 4 connections with virtually the same loadout except for one Exchange a PXI-5122 (x 4 config) to SMU 5122 (x 8 config).

If I leave the MXI PCIe card in but do not connect to chassis PCI slot SMU (and the fine card appear.)

If I remove the PCI card into the slot, the error still occurs.

I swapped the x 8 card and NVidia graphics card without success (the 16 x only two slots).

I photographed the reader and removed the H310 Dell PERC RAID card and charged the RAID array RAID integrated Intel C600 and still no change.

I have updated BIOS to A07 to latest A08.

I updated the Intel Chipset at the latest on the Dell Web site.

I guess that I just wonder at this point if someone is able to run a x 8 MXI express at SMU with a Dell Precision T3600, T5600 or a T7600 chassis.

After much work by NI Applications Engineer Kyle K, this problem has been resolved.

I'll post the solution to this PC dependent problem here, just in case it will help others in a similar situation.

It seems that Dell sometimes uses one default BIOS quite restrictive on the number of PCI bus in these (and other). By allowing several PCI bus, you will be able to list all the devices in the sacrifice of some memory available for OS 32 bit running on 4 GB of RAM. No problem for me because I'm under 64 bit OS.

Congratulations to Kyle even if he has not posted here yet for him give real congratulations.

  • Of K4 Note LTE/WCDMA/GSM option is not displayed in the sim slot 2

    Hello
Note K4 Lenovo supports LTE in both slots sim, they said.
But for me only the first sim card supports LTE. If I put 4G compatible sim in slot 2. He does not watch the possibility to change the network mode.
Even I have put only one SIM card in the slot 2 means also this option not enabled not!
Is Note K4 supports LTE in both sims?
As I knew that we can use LTE service in a single sim... But I can't change the network mode option in the sim connector 2.

Sorry to post this question! Which is resolved. We need to change the default connection in sim cards option to access LTE services in particular location!

When I create projects, it shows me just like I/O chassis

    * chassis temperature

    * LED FPGA

I couldn't write anything of chassis slots and see to the oscilloscope screen, (for example: using a digital or analog output)...

Try to follow the steps, you will create a new module. As in this example, but skip the part of the circuit.
