Is DV4T 5100 supports 1600 mhz RAM?

I'm about to buy the DV4T 5100 (i7Q, 650 m) with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM.

I was talking with a representative of the sales on the speed of the RAM, and she told me that it is only of 1333 mhz.

Is the 5100 DV4T supports 1600 mhz RAM?

Run to run this utility from Crucial and it will tell you for sure.

In General although he will not use the RAM at 1600 Mhz, you can install it, but it cannot make the laptop all run faster.

  • Upgrade Acer E1-531 RAM 1333 mhz to 1600 mhz RAM?

As E1 - 531 supports DDR3 1333 mhz sodimm 1.5V, it is possible to be upgraded with DD3 1600 mhz sticks?

    I use 2x2gb DDR3 1333 mhz

    I want to replace 1x2GB DD3 1333 mhz with DD3 1600 mhz 1x4Go

So the end result will be 1x4Go DD3 1600 mhz + 1x2Go DD3 1333 mhz = 6 GB of RAM with different types of sticks.

Is it OK, it is compatible and is it works without problem later?

    Thank you

    Hello

You can upgrade 2 + 4Gb without any problem, but it depends on the brand and the part number of the memory modules. They will work at 1333 MHz.

    2. Same question about the other party?

  • HP N233SL: RAM 1600 MHz instead of 800 MHz on a laptop does not work?

    Hello world

I have a HP N233-SL, and the max ram I can install is 8 GB. By default, I got 6 GB.

    I checked and it is now 1x4Go + 1x2Go. I wanted to buy a new 1x4Go to add, having finally 2 x 4 GB.

Problem is that the ram installed now is a PC3-12800 DDR3 (800 MHz), and I can't find any ram to buy it is 800 MHz.

Now all I have fnd is 1600 MHz. What happens if I install a 1600 MHz instead of the 800? And strives to have a work at 800 and a second to 1600 (which implies that the system will go back to 800) of RAM?

    Thx a lot

    Luca

    Hello

DDR3 PC3-12800 1600 MHz is expected. I don't know why they put 800 MHz but double channel od mid-range configuration still valid. Double means two and each channel run 800 MHz or 1600 MHz RAM specifications.

No, the system will not retrograde, it will run each channel 800 MHz in dual mode.

    Kind regards.

  • I have a Macbook Pro mid 2012 edition, i7 and 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) of RAM DDR3 (1600 MHz). Can I add any RAM with this config?

I want to upgrade my RAM 16 GB (2x8GB) and also to change the hard drive (750 GB) to a 250 GB SSD. I was going through the forum and people have posted that they have improved their RAM with no problems. I visited the local electronics market and is the knowledge that they have a Kingston 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM. I just want to know if it is safe to add that RAM for my MBP or not? One of my friends told me that the MBP requires a different sort of RAM so I am confused. In addition, I was intending to buy a single 8 GB and set up my MBP with 12 GB (8 + 4) RAM and then replace the other 4 GB with an 8 GB to make eventually 16GB. Will there be a problem with this approach? Also can I add any SSD fits laptops from my system? I found an SSD 240 GB (uv300) Kingston. Please suggest if I can add that.

You can fit a maximum of 16 GB, if you choose compatible Ram.

  • Satellite P200D-12f - can I use the 800 Mhz RAM memory modules?

    Hello!

I have a satellite p200d-12f pspbqe model laptop.
It has RAM 2 x 1 gb 667 mhz in it.
So the qustion is: can I put 800 mhz RAM in my laptop? My motherboard supports 800 mhz ram?

    Thank you!

    Hi mate

The speed of RAM depends on the chipset FSB!
If the chipset would support 800 Mhz module RAM would you also with 800 Mhz.

But if the chipset does not support FSB 800 Mhz then you RAM modules would be locked at the speed that is supported by FSB

So you can use 800 Mhz but this makes no sense if the FSB is slower.

    You check the chipset properties!

  • Compaq Presario CQ60-220US - 800 MHz RAM?

Hey guys, quick question. I know the CQ60-220US comes with 2 GB 667 MHz RAM 5 CASE, I'm looking to upgrade & I was wondering if it will support 800 MHz RAM 5 CASES.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Yes, it should support the memory at 800 MHz, but it will operate at the speed of 667 MHz because it is the speed of the FSB of the processor you have.

Use the selection tool memory from Crucial.com to find the memory you need.  You can use the menu drop-down or the automatic scanner.

  • EliteBook 8440p; DM1-3020us: 2x4gb 1600 MHz DDR3L works in Pavilion DM1 but not Elitebook 8440p? But both are supported than 1066 MHz RAM

I have two Elitebook 8440p PCs that both run an Intel i5 520 m (although one of them has a discreet Nvidia NVS 3100 m, while the other does not and use the integrated graphics card Intel).

I also have a Pavilion DM1-3020us with an AMD E-350 APU; It's the only other PC I own which takes SO-DIMM DDR3 modules.

I just bought this Crucial DDR3L 1600 MHz 2x4gb hoping to use it with the 8440p without the graphics from Nvidia:

    http://www.BestBuy.com/site/crucial-2-Pack-4GB-1-6GHz-PC3-12800-DDR3L-so-DIMM-Unbuffered-non-ECC-lap...

However, it causes crashes and BSOD as soon as he tried to start under Win7 64 bit on both 8440 p PCs.  Also when trying to boot Linux Mint 18 I empty a kernel panic, and run Memtest86 + just leads to restarting the PC within seconds.  Yet, I can navigate through the BIOS throughout the day and it will continue to work very well...

But here's where it gets really weird - the RAM works perfectly fine in my laptop DM1 Memtest86 + and Win7 64 bit (I use it as I type this).  What's curious?  Because both the AMD E-350 and the Intel i5 520 m only support up to 1066 MHz RAM!

The only thing I can think is that there is something wacky where RAM is unable to operate at 1066 MHz at 1.5V or is not able to run at 1.5V to all E-350 1.35v support (and 1.5V RAM so that the i5 520 m only supports 1.5V) which itself would be really strange that Micron (which actually manufactured the RAM) States on their website that their 1.35v and 1.5V RAM have actually the same die (a bit like mobile i7s quad vs quad I5S Office) and that both can operate at 1, 5V, implying therefore that the 1.35v product is simply a higher binning:

Crucial live chat support, however, closed several hours for the day, so I thought I would at least make this post in the meantime.

    Hello:

Please see this thread, and the discussion that I posted in this thread... and you'll have your answer.

6550 b has the same chipset as the 8440p.  I posted the link to the site from NewEgg for the memory, you need to buy if you live in the USA/Canada in the discussion that I've referenced to the other person who had the 8440p.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-hardware-and-upgrade-questions/RAM-memory-modules-that-actually-work-for-HP-EliteBook-8440p/m-p/5570634#M335108

There are several discussions on this issue if you want to find even more.  Everything is solved by specific G.Skill memory I posted.

The extent of why it works in the dm1 and not the 8440p, the chipsets are different.  The Intel chipset in the 8440p doesn't support voltage DDR3L.  Comparison of AMD and Intel chipsets are like comparing apples and oranges.

I also believe that the chipset amd in the dm1 is more recent than the chipset in the 8440p and promotes low-voltage memory.

I have just return from memory and use the gift card on something else.

I doubt that Best Buy has this specific memory.

As a general rule, long term, its not recommended to mix different frequencies & CASE, RAM together.

But if you ask if they work together at all, they will all be two race to lower speed - no problem whatsoever in this area.

Fortunately, your system manual lists the frequencies 1600 times & 1333 & if you put two Rams they will work in single channel type - no dual channel supports listed in the guide.  Here is your Manual (Page 1).

The performance issue that could have landed because they are different, it's that they are running in single channel which is slower mode. But your system do not already support channel.

So all of your ram is now 1333 but it will work very well in single channel mode.

Download CPU - Z to see what makes your ram and ram it is. The part listed for 4 GB of RAM is in your manual.
