Is I.D. Solutions a Microsoft Windows service allowed?

I received several calls from I.D. Solutions that claim to be an authorized Department funded by Microsoft showing that the error messages were received from my computer that require me to allow them access to remote repair.  I'm not even thinking about it unless I received confirmation that they exist in fact as an authorized representative of Windows.  I spoke with a "technician" and claimed a 'supervisor' and both swore they are legitimate.  Both of the India, but this is not surprising.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  They had me going through several hoops to designate what they proclaim serious errors which must be resolved immediately.  Just do not have a good comfort level.  Thank you.  Vince

    Hello

Try to re - install ZoneAlarm on laptop, BUT it tells me that I must upgrade to the Microsoft Windows Service Pack 1 (SP1) to do this... I am running Windows Vista and when I click on windows update it works for literally hours without anything happeneing.

Zone Alarm has a key valid license - but for some strange reason, he will not have, so I had to uninstall and reinstall ZoneAlarm - he tells me that I need this update - who will not come?

Note: Windows Firewall is turned on right now and when I look at 'exceptions' does not offer updates of windows as part of the selection list.

Please, any advice on this will be greatly appreciated.

  • Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows could allow Remote Code execution

My Question is: are you F * % ING KIDDING ME?

Original title: Ko 3039066 security to PREVENT a REMOTE EXECUTION of CODE after 5years vulnerability update FAILING to INSTALL / UNINSTALLED by windows update!

    Hi C.D.Miller,

What operating system is installed on your computer?

This update fixes vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows. The vulnerability could allow remote code execution if an attacker successfully convince a user to navigate to a specially designed website, specially designed to open or access a working directory that contains a specially designed DLL file.

Follow the workaround solutions mentioned in the article below and check if that helps.

  • Where can I find a Microsoft Windows Service Pack 3 CD cheap [but see below]

I wonder if you can help figure me out what to do with installing drivers and utilities on my Dell Latitude C610, but the CD that I bought for it didn't run at all. Very important, I don't know if yes or no I need to reinstall the drivers/utilities because initially, I tried to reinstall Windows XP for my laptop, but caused the computer system to stay in mode of resettlement which unfortunately probably means I need to install Service Pack 3 Windows [obviously due to this being the operating system and because I received this message] the file 'Asms' on the CD-ROM Windows XP Professional is required for Service Pack 3. Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK.]. The reason why I need none of the foregoing is to restore my laptop.

Download it from the site of Ms.

  • Windows Services for Unix (NFS) and ESX

I installed a hardware with Windows Server 2003 standard and installed Microsoft Windows Services for Unix to use NFS for ESX functions.  I am at the section for the mapping of user names and I do not know what ESX uses for NIS domain names or what would my name of the NIS server.  We are an exclusively ESX and Windows of the shop so muchof the Linux/Unix stuff, I am not confident with my lack of use. I also have an option to use a password and group file. That is what I would be</span > need to use ESX with this NFS configuration?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've used these Services NFS for Windows several times just for the accommodation of the models where clients don't want to pay for the shared storage. You must copy the/etc/passwd and/etc/Group passwords on your windows machine. To DO this, use something like WinSCP or otherwise just copy it under linux in your store data using cp/etc/passwd/vmfs/volumes/Datastore-name browse your data via the VI client store and download these files.

In the console of NFS for Windows, you need to configure the user mappings, think about security here. But you can map an ESX user as root to a Windows user, you have given sufficient rights for sharing. You can choose the NFS server these files and then set up the cards. Then (from memory), I think that you must share the folder, which will have a NFS Sharing tab.

  • Netscape browser to the Microsoft windows media services plug-ins to allow the download of license to play music

    Original title: music license

How do we install m/soft media services plug ins to allow me to download the license to play music apparently my netscape browser doesn't have the plug in to allow the download

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

I am experiencing this when I try to use Windows Media Player (so recent, but not easy to find the version number) to play a .wma file that I've transferred from vinyl years ago.  My browser isn't FireFox, Netscape.

I drag the file from Windows Explorer to the playlist in Windows Media Player, and a Web page comes up (http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/pdrm/en/welcome.asp?challenge=AAEAATMvJkIGMMWfrmgMxKUeJkQMlzddByxvhfASAwJeI7q50r * BSeNHGXSEmuEa3z9B8i4S!) Bebc75l2lX3gVmq5Na & DRMVer = 1. "& embedded = false).  The page says:

    -------------------------------------

A license is required to play this file

The file you are trying to play was ripped (copied) from an audio CD.

During the extraction process, the file was "protected". This limits the number of computers on which the file can be read.

To read the file on this computer, you must download a license (a process called "license migration"). A license is an electronic key that allows to "unlock" a protected file and read it.

To download a license for this file, click download the license .

    [Button: download license]

    .. then by some Notes.

    -------------------------------------

When I click on the button, I get a dialog box saying «Netscape browser no not the Microsoft windows media services plug-ins to allow the download of license to play music»

    .. who's actually a dead-end.  I tried the FireFox plug-ins, but it was a waste of time.

It's annoying, because my vinyl transfer was fair use of album, and my time is precious to me.

    -Eric

SOLUTION: Is annoying, but switch to Internet Explorer as default browser and go through the procedure described above.  When I did, he received the license, which enabled Windows Media Player play all .wma files in the directory.  (It could be worse - the software could have go me through the process for each file separately.) Other players are still unable to read the files and it's still a nuisance.

I tried to find a solution but have not been able to find something with this specific question. I am currently connected with a temp file but will lose any information when disconnected. Yes, Mr President, I think that's how I got the profiles of other users in my registry. I knew that when I replaced my motherboard there is a chance that I have to reinstall my operating system. I was happy when I was not at, but after trying to correct the mistakes, I bit the bullit and reinstalled.

  • I am running Microsoft Windows XP Home edition Version 2002 Service pack 3, use the 32-bit or 64-bit upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium?

running Microsoft Windows XP Home edition Version 2002 Service pack 3, used the 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade?

I followed the instructions on the card that came with the software... indicating that, if I look at my computer it was telling me that my computer works... either 64 or 32, but it does not work.  So my question is, how do you know?

You probably have the 32-bit version of XP (in most individuals, and if your system properties page does not have 64-bit, then you have 32-bit.)

However, if you now have XP 32 - bit or 64-bit XP isn't the issue that relate to your decision to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7.  This decision depends on the question to know if your hardware can support a 64-bit operating system.  In this regard, the main reason for users to install a 64-bit operating system is to allow the use of more than 4 GB of RAM.  If your hardware does support more than 4 GB of RAM, there is no interest to install the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

You run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor?  With what results?

Click Start > run and type msinfo32 in the "Open" box and click OK.
After the system information window has had time fill, click Edit > select all, and then click Edit > copy.
