  Oracle allows the tools that usually used to interact with the database. SQL * Plus, SQL Developer, SQL * Loader are all free. If you use a feature optionally licensed in the database that makes the difference. For example, Oracle Partitioning is an extra cost feature. You can use SQL * Loader to load data into an Oracle database without that it costs you nothing more. But if you use SQL * Loader to load into a partitioned table, you will have to pay for the partitioning, but not SQL * Loader.

  I tried a few weeks to get a definitive answer to this question.  Unfortunately, the only answer I can give you is that we (Oracle) are not allowed to interpret the license.

  I downloaded Oracle Data Integrator licensed OTN to enrich the knowledge about it. I would like to know if you use ODI to develop packages on the customer site without running (or a small part of the data for test purposes) or installation on client servers (but on my laptop) can be included in the OTN license: it can shows the value of the ODI and can bring the client to obtain the license for the production.

  In general, this is how Oracle works. They provide a full version of their tools to play with in the development environment.

  But before deploying them into production, you should be licensed for them.

  for my application, I use a tabbed view and wants to show to the user a license window when it opens the app for the first time. The license window should not be available as a tab. Of course it should not possible to do anythink except accept or decline the terms of license.

  This is a sort of pseudocode:

  App is the main.qml in his name for my main class for C++ and eulaAccepted is a persistent variable that indicates if the user has accepted the license terms in a last start. EULA. QML is a Page that contains the condition termns and MainWindow.qml ist he TabbedPane object.

  If this pseudocode would work I would have no problem. It is my opinion that NavigationPane accepts only a Page as the main object, but with tab pane accepts no tob e encapsulated in an object Page. Y at - it suggestions to encapsulate a pane tabs within a Page object or something else that is accepted as a major object of navigation pane?

  I solved the problem.

  The answer is that you use the tabs pane. You add conditions of licence as an attached object and set not as a page, but as a dialog box.

  In the main.qml, you add the onCreationCompleted slot and here, you open the dialog if necessary.

• Activating Windows, go under licence and notification

  I have Windows 8 is installed, that I bought through my work (a student and a copy of the faculty), who seems to be flicking between being active or not active.

  I have not nailed down the model yet, but it seems that if I just of hibernation, it shows that no active (and interrupts everything I do to show me the activation of the modern UI warning and a button to go to the activation thing) and I then restart and check than active.

  When I use slmgr/DLI information is unsurprisingly similar and it says (now) State of license: a license. If I do the same after a hibernation, it will say something like condition of licence: Notification.
  What could cause this inconsistent behavior? I have one couple of other copies with different keys (they are not portable like this machine) who do not exhibit the same problem. They only difference I can think of is that they are completely different hardware (i.e. the two home cooked computers office) and it is a Dell laptop.

  Because netbooks usually have a CD player and almost never come with a real Microsoft Windows installation CD, your options are limited.

  1. replace the hard drive in the netbook with a new hard drive.  It is obviously the safest, but because the new hard drive will not not any what operating system (or other) will lower probably seriously the amount someone is willing to pay you.  If you bought a CD USB player and could find and buy a Windows XP installation CD (not easy not more and not cheap), you can reinstall Windows to make the netbook more saleable).

  2. create a bootable USB key with Darik Boot and Nuke and wipe the hard drive safely.  It is less expensive that the option 1 but does almost exactly the same (and has the same drawback).

  3. use a safe "file shredder" such as Heidi Eraser or one of these: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=%22file+shredder%22 to safely erase files that you can identify (for example, everything in your "My Documents" folder) and then use whatever mechanism has been provided by the manufacturer of your netbook to "restore to factory conditions" (as condition of licence from Microsoft the manufacturer of your netbook is bound to have such a mechanism).

• Activation problem with hard disk containing Vista deleted from a computer dead and installed in a work computer.

  Problem: HP laptop with Vista installed suffers an untimely death. The installed hard drive with Vista is still OK. Hard disk has been removed from the HP laptop and then installed in an old Dell laptop. Windows Vista is complaining that Vista is not valid and must be activated. I get the activation from valid product key and the activation utility responds with an error 0xC004E003 code and will not activate. Microsoft does not support chat or e-mail for Vista and I can not even a phone number to talk to a human being.   Property to true. An OEM Vista license does "die with the computer. Conditions of licence for the version of Windows 8 have changed compared to the terms for the most comparable Windows 7 or Vista or XP. In my opinion, the terms are now even more restrictive, more or less.

  Good luck exploring alternatives to the BONE. Some Linux distributions are well worth a visit. Ubuntu, Suse and Mint are quite simple to install on a wide range of material. I'm not familiar with the Apple/Mac or Android offers, but many speak well of them.
