Is it possible to install XP from an old computer is no longer works, to a new computer?

My computer is broken. Can I use the same product key for my new PC or need to buy another product key?

* original title - Activation of Windows *.

Hi albial,

If your copy of XP OEM means it was pre-installed on your old computer, you won't be able to use it on your new computer, because it is related to this specific computer only.

If your copy of XP was a commercial copy full that was purchased, then you can use it on your new computer.

In addition, if you are able to install XP on your new computer, please see the following article on how to enable:

I hope this helps!
