  I am running the scripts on one of our internal server - Windows Server 2008 R2, which I connect remotely by the connection service Office. My thought is, I want to share a link to users that are running on the machine local windows 7, which leads directly to this folder on the remote server where the script results are stored.

  Ofcourse Remote Desktop connection is the name of the computer, the user name and password. Therefore, the link I want to share to open this dialog box asking for details and take the user directly in the folder.

  I know that sounds like what we are doing to map a network drive. But just hoping if it means something.

  Looking for answers.

• Cannot set the password for user connection in Vista Home Basic

  My laptop (running Vista SP2) has no password on the user account. Guest account is disabled and my user account is administrator.

  I would like to add a password to secure my PC a little more by doing the following:
  AutoScan (Vista Orb) > Control Panel > user accounts > create a password for your account
  I enter a password to 10 characters. I tried more or less characters, a mixture of uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers etc, but everything I try I get the following message:

  "The password you entered does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements"

  Any ideas what to do here? I tried searching online and through this forum but have been unable to find someone who had the same problem, and even less it is solved!

  I ran Microsoft Security Essentials software, choose scan "Full". The software found no viruses or malware on my computer, but he did put in quarantine RealVNC (software remote access we use occasionally to work).

  I solved this problem!

  The problem was caused by HP - something that was installed on my laptop security manager because I bought - I never used and had no idea he was running. I discovered this when I decided to upgrade my operating system to Windows 7. I was running a tool to check if the software I had installed is compatible for the upgrade; It turns out that the HP Security Manager is not compatible with W7, and when I uninstalled it I followed a hunch that it might interfere with my account - tried by adding a password and he succeeded!

  I was also able to install Sophos and it works properly now.

  I've always upgraded to Windows 7 in the end, but it was nice to be able to solve this problem (even if it took me Age to understand!) Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

  You need the license SecPlus for increased remote access users. But you don't need an extra user license if you still only up to 10 internal systems.

  I'm sorry to hear that we won't see you at the user group.  This is the first time we did vote in a while, so we have not yet determined the specific logistics.  But you don't have to worry of not being at the meeting of the Group of real user.  We will set up a web conference and send some kind of communication to all customers regardless of their presence of user group.

  We use Hyperion Planning version 11.1.2.1. I tried to export user and group provisioning to prod environment and migrate there in the dev environment.

  The following steps have been

  1 open Hyperion Shared Services Console

  2 expanded Application groups

  3. scope of the Foundation

  4. click on Shared Services. I got a list of artifact on a new tab on the right side of the screen

  5 expanded native Directory. Some groups (Checked), roles and users

  6 click on define Migration and then did then, then, then on the following screens until I got a popup asking to "run the Migration.

  7 enforce Migration, I received a folder created under admin@NativeDirectory with 2 subfolders (info and resources)

  I saw 3 csv files is created - Groups.csv, Roles.csv and Users.csv.

  Groups.csv contains all the groups and users in each group.

  Users.csv contains all the users belonging to the Native directory

  Roles.csv was surprisingly an empty file (don't know why)

  My question is

  1. how to export that 'Aboriginal group' has been implemented to what roles?

  2. how to export what Directory user external user (i.e. MSAD) has been put into service for what role?

  I need to import roles provided to the 'MSAD users' and 'Indigenous' of Prod to Dev env env. Since I'm not able to export to MSAD user roles and groups... I don't know how to do in this regard. Please help me with this. Thanks in advance.
