Is it possible to restrictions to the remote desktop users to access the Internet?

I'm really stuck on this.

All clients connect to the server by using Remote Desktop Session of work.

The condition is now, I want to connect internet connection server.

I intend to install TeamViewer so I can access the server when I go on vacation, if a problem occurs or the customer need my help something.

The boss, don't want any employee not be able to access the internet, so now I'm stuck with it.

Forget to mention, I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 x 64.

Is it possible to do this?

I tried to look for possible ways on GPEDIT. MSC to make the restriction, but it seems that there is not something like that.

Please help and sorry for my bad English.

Thanks for all the help.

  • Restriction of the Internet

    Product: iPhone 6 s

    OS: iOS 9.2.1

Question: I use the function of restrictions to prevent my children for the use of the internet on their iPhone 6s. They may also have applications 3rd party on their phone through which they can access the internet. I just recently discovered that they were able to access the internet through the following means:

Settings > privacy > advertising > advertising & privacy... > in the privacy statement, there is a direct link (www.apple.com/privacy) who send them on the Apple site through which they can access the rest of the internet.

Is it possible to limit this? Or Apple allow an update to allow the link to open in Safari?

    Thank you

    Have you tested this?

It spawn a browser, but I can't access anything other than the Apple site. I don't see an address bar to enter a URL. I could navigate along apple.com, but nowhere else.

How have you heard about this?

  • Remote VPN users cannot access tunnel from site to site

    Cisco ASA5505.

I have a tunnel of site-to-site set up from our office to our Amazon AWS VPC.  I'm not a network engineer and have spent way too much time just to get to this point.

It works very well since within the office, but users remote VPN can not access the tunnel from site to site.  All other remote access looks very good.

The current configuration is here: https://gist.github.com/pmac72/f483ea8c7c8c8c254626

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.  It is probably super simple for someone who knows what they're doing to see the question.

    Hi Paul.

    Looking at your configuration:

    Remote access:

    internal RA_GROUP group policy
    RA_GROUP group policy attributes
value of server DNS 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
    Protocol-tunnel-VPN IPSec
    value of Split-tunnel-network-list Split_Tunnel_List

    permit same-security-traffic intra-interface

    type tunnel-group RA_GROUP remote access
    attributes global-tunnel-group RA_GROUP
    address RA_VPN_POOL pool
    Group Policy - by default-RA_GROUP
    IPSec-attributes tunnel-group RA_GROUP
    pre-shared key *.

    local pool RA_VPN_POOL 10.0.0.10 - 255.255.255.0 IP 10.0.0.50 mask

    Site to site:

    card crypto outside_map 1 match address acl-amzn
card crypto outside_map 1 set pfs
    peer set card crypto outside_map 1 AWS_TUNNEL_1_IP AWS_TUNNEL_2_IP
card crypto outside_map 1 set of transformation transformation-amzn

I recommend you to use a local IP address pool with a different IP address that deals with the inside interface uses, now you are missing NAT are removed from the IP local pool to the destination of the site to site:

    NAT_EXEMPT list of ip 10.0.0.0 access allow 255.255.255.0 172.17.0.0 255.255.0.0

NAT (outside) 0-list of access NAT_EXEMPT

Now, there's a dynamically a NAT exempt allowing traffic to go out and are not translated.

I would like to know how it works!

  • Can I access my Internet at home using remote desktop?

I want to download a file on my home computer and transfer it to my place, because I'm unable to download the file to my current place of residence.  Using Remote Desktop, can I access my Internet home of that remote computer to download a file on my computer at home?  Or would I have access to my computer at home, but still using the Internet on my remote site?

You would use the internet connection of your computer at home. There is more information here:

  • Is it possible to restrict the Office remote to only the group "remote users?

    Hello world

Bit of a strange request. Within our work environment, we try to limit as much as possible to Remote Desktop. However people regularly have administrator rights in order to do their job, due to some programs and restrictions works not very well.

What I'm looking for is essentially:

-Nobody has the rights to remote desktop, USERS in the group "Remote Desktop"

-It is administrators - they can't have these rights

Is this possible? My understanding is that permissions are cumulative, if for example Admin is user of remote desktop and then some. I would like to somehow separate these (whether by a GPO or other).

Any advice or suggestions are appreciated!

  • Remote Desktop, using Windows 7 Ultimate, then along the side windows 2 7 build 7100. Questions...

When I go to access another computer via desktop remotely, it gives me the following error...

"The connection was refused because the user account for the remote access connection is not allowed."

    OK...

So, I found that I needed to do things, like adding groups and what not.

So I went to the screen the system, click on settings remotely on the left side, then in the new window I greeted remote assistance and Remote Desktop (both secure and unsecure option) then I went to select users... Add locations. But all that shows is the computer im. Im stuck please help :D

    "

To connect to a remote computer with Remote Desktop [DRC], you need a user name that is a member of the Remote Desktop Users group on the remote computer, IE. PC - A, for example, or a user name which is administrator on PC - A. The user ID is local to PC - A. The user ID must have a password. On PC - A simply type the name of the standard user in the window enter the names of the objects to select . Click check names to verify that this is a valid username on PC - A.

Now, when you open the connection of the DRC on the remote computer PC - B use the local LAN IP or the NetBIOS name of PC - A and previously set up PC - A user name and password to connect. If your call over the public internet from a remote location using the public IP of PC - A or PC - A is behind a router, the public IP address of the router. In the latter case, you will need to also to the front/open TCP Port 3389 through the router to the IP LAN of the PC - A static method.

FWIW here are my DRC using small pages which you may, or may not, be interested.

  • Download directly from the Internet to the directory podcast Clip3

Is it possible toDownload directly from the Internet to the podcast Clip3 on the device directory. I have on my old Samsung mp3 player.

    Thanks in advance

Files on the Clip + can be seen under mode ID3 (such as the podcasts folder) or folder view.  They are not physically twice.

As to not see the files of clips on your computer:

When your player is connected to your computer using USB MSC (set under settings of the player), your computer only see files that had been moved to the drive when the drive is connected in MSC mode.  Similarly with regard to the MTP mode.  However, all the files appear and can be played on your player, under some USB mode setting.

A reason why some people prefer to set the USB Mode on their player to MSC or MTP: setting Auto, the Player tries to connect in MTP mode but then you will return in MSC mode if the connection of the MTP does not; as a result, you can have a mixture of MSC and MTP mode transferred the files to your drive, making some of them isn't visible on your computer without going to the other USB mode.

Because MSC mode is more universal (playing with a wide range of operating systems, including Linux and on Mac, and without the need for Windows Media Player on the computer), some people prefer MSC mode.  However, note that the DRM (digital rights management) files need MTP mode - they will not transfer enough (the DRM license will not transfer) in MSC mode.

  • Remote Desktop Connect (wrong username or password)

I have a question really frustrating trying to connect to my machine via Remote Desktop (Win7) House (Win8) work. I am able to connect to the machine, but it shows me the message "the user name or password is incorrect. Try again ' on the login screen of the remote computer. I know that the username and password are correct, I am able to use the same credentials for remote access to the machine with the remote desktop application of Chrome.

It's only for this domain account that I have a problem. I have implemented a test on the machine account and can't seem to connect with no problem. I am also able to connect the machine to a colleague (Win7) using my domain account.

After the newspaper had failed-ins, the event on the remote computer log shows why a log-in and immediate success and then disconnect, without any explanation. All journal entries are marked "audit success". In addition, the login box that appears on the remote desktop application on my PC at home (as opposed to the display of connection on the remote computer itself) will tell me that I can not log on if I type the name of user and password wrong, but let me to the login screen of the remote computer if I understand well (showing the name of username/password incorrect message).

The domain account is an administrator on the remote computer. I also tried adding it explicitly to the remote desktop users.

Another point to add is that it worked until today ' today, but only when I had turned off the Windows Firewall (when turned on I couldn't even at the stage of connection). HE obviously didn't like this, so they turned on firewall and changed a few settings (I've since tried to change back with no joy).

The other thing that may or may not be relevant is, I connect to the computer through a VPN.

If someone had a similar problem, or have thoughts on what could be the problem here?

  • With or without password for remote desktop connection

    Hi all ^_^

I've got a trick (win 7) & PC (win el maestro)
I am the only 1 using the tower and the PC for all, after that I created a password for the PC, I tried to log in it in the round using desktop connection remote and it worked, but now I connect the lab PC's get connected f and when I write the password in the computer to connect to the connection in the laboratory is an error or something like that!
but now I removed the password until I have find a way to connect without having this problem
can you help me with this?
I read things on empty passwords and security policy and other things, it's about connecting a computer without password
can you help me with this?
I need the boring explanation if you can
    Thank you

    Hello

You can do this, but I do NOT recommend it because in this case if someone has your IP address then could access your windows by using remote desktop. And people could use find find IP of random generator and when there is NO password can access. so please use password and the password to connect.

However, you can configure the setting to connect with empty password:

    1) go to control panel

    2 Administrative Tools)

look 3) to the local security policy

    (4) open and look for security options

    (5) then in account you will see something like "limit local account use of the empty password for console logon only

    (6) try to disable it and reboot your PC

It should work, but as I said, it could put your PC in DANGER.

By design remote desktop requires a password to connect safety precaution. The Remote Desktop user ID and password are the on the computer you want to access and control remote. The user ID must be an administrator or be a member of the remote desktop users group.

If you need create a password for the user ID you want to connect with the help of office remotely.

Computer on which is the host of remote desktop, IE. the computer you want to access remote/control? It is not clear from your description, although I assume it is the office.
