    Hello

You can install and activate the perpetual software (purchased) two computers of the same type (mac or pc), as long as you use it on one at a time.

It is advisable to disable the software on a computer on which it will be is most used, especially before giving away or selling the computer or reformat the hard disk. Please see this link: How to disable the software.  This frees an activation if you have the option to install the software on another computer at any time.

Could someone please help us find the correct steps/docs for this type of migration.

    1 32-bit server
    Operating system-> OEL 4.7
    Version of database-> 11.2.0.3

    2 64 - bit server
    Operating system-> OEL 5

Note:-we do not seek to upgrade the database. Just Let's break the DB to new 64-bit.

    Thanks in advance

You will need to install the 64 bit 11.2.0.3 software on the new server (pay attention to the pre-reqs), then apply the patches of same to 11.2.0.3 that you applied on the old server, follow the procedure in the above link.

Can any ove let me know that if I directly copy it to the source (32 bit) OS to destination (64 bit) OS database and create server OS level using oradim, it will work fine. The only change is from 32 bit to 64 bit on windows 2003. I have to take care of anything else? Is the format of 32-bit and 64-bit even for oracle?

  • migrate from 32-bit to 64-bit

    Here's the scenario.

Necessary for server migration Oracle 32-bit with data files on the DSO to the Oracle 64-bit server

I have move asm so 64-bit or I can juice install oracle 64-bit to new 64-bit server and use the asm oracle 32-bit home.

    Thank you

    Hey wins,

    Thanks for the detailed explanation:

I guess that the OS of the server will be the same - a simple change from 32-bit to 64-bit?
If you don't change the operating system platform.

The best way to do this:

    (1) install Oracle home 64 bit for ASM on the new server
    (2) install Oracle home 64 bit for the database on the new server
(best practices for houses - but it is not necessary)
    (3) establish a standby with RMAN in ASM on the new server - check it please Note: 413484.1 for 32/64-bit permitted combinations
    (4) you just do a single pass and you will be running on the new server

    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/deploy/availability/PDF/maa_wp_10gr2_asmmigrationwithdg.PDF

If min downtime is not your condition you simply implement the clone on the new server with RMAN and invalidate all packages and recompile - that's all.

    Kind regards

  • Migration from 32-bit to 64-bit host host 32-bit clients

OK, so this question was asked to me.   We received a new chassis for a blade/SAN solution for free.   The new chassis will be our recovery site and will support 64-bit of the blades (unlike our last production version).    We currently have 32-bit hosts in production with all the 32-bit guests and we intend to put 64-bit blades in the new chassis if we can migrate it 32-bit guests.   What I read 32-bit guests are supported on a 64-bit host but can migrate us host 32-bit to 64-bit host?

It is still too early, so if it's coherent hike or you need any clarification please let me know.

What I read 32-bit guests are supported on a 64-bit host but can migrate us host 32-bit to 64-bit host?

    Yes.  No problem.

  • What can go wrong with the upgrade to 64-bit?

I think upgrade to 64-bit but I have been informed that it will be slow and that hurt lost things, but I want to know that more help please if you can.

There is nothing wrong with if your system supports the migration to 64-bit Windows.

Windows 7 and 10 64-bit run comfortably on 2 GB of RAM with a modern processor.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions

Windows 7 64 bit comes in handy when you need to deal with at least 4 GB of RAM or more. Windows 7 32 bit can use up to 3.2 GB of RAM. Because the address space of memory is much larger for 64-bit Windows, this means that you need two times more memory than the 32-bit Windows to accomplish some of the same task, but you are able to do much more, you can have more apps open, do things like run a virus scan in the background it will affect the performance of your system. 64-bit Windows 7 is safer too, malicious code cannot easily infiltrate it, drivers are more reliable because they must be signed before it can work with 64 bit Windows 7.

Regarding compatibility, you need device drivers 64-bit hardware devices, you may have. In addition, there is no 16-bit subsystem in Windows 7 64-bit, which means, your applications must be 32-bit only, not 16-bit Installer or programs uninstaller. Also, if you decide to switch to Windows 7 64 bit in the future, there is no way to upgrade from 32-bit Windows, clean install only.

Migration to a 64-bit version of Windows, it will take a custom Setup. This means, hardware drivers must be 64-bit compatible applications will have to be resettled.

  • I downloaded Firefox 3.6 on a vista 64-bit computer and got a Trojan horse with the download.

Downloaded firefox 3.6 on a Vista 64 bit machine. Once downloaded, I started having viruses pop up (third party) caveats of protection. Windows defender and IE open and lock-up. It returns a warning whenever I run an application and prevents the execution of most of the programs. Never had this problem with the Mozilla software before. Just curious if anyone else has had a similar problem.

First of all, go to http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-rescue-cd-download and download the rescue CD. Follow the instructions to create the disc/usb. Then go to the web site of Firefox and download the installation files. Don't go to other sites to get the files.
In Control Panel, choose to uninstall Firefox. Once the uninstall is complete, place AVG Rescue disk in the drive and restart, making sure that the PC boots to the CD/USB. Once the rescue is complete, restart and install Firefox. Make sure you have the latest version of the anti-virus software and firewall running. AVG, Norton and Panda is among the best. I had this problem when I clicked on the link for some antivirus England. It unnamed took over the system and would not let me do anything. I could only get them online by starting in safe mode with internet connection.
    Good luck.

  • I would like to migrate from Aperture. What happens to my masters that are on a RAID array and then what should I do with my safe which is located on a separate drive please?

I'm sorry, but I'm loud understand what happening to my master original RAW files, I keep offline on a RAID array and then what I do with my safe that, like all my photos modified? Sorry for this simple question, but would someone help please my lift the fog?

    Thank you

    Rob

One of the major downfalls of Aperture is that it shows you where are your pictures. They always favored it as a feature (even as a ' new paradigm'), but it's not so wonderful when you need to do something about Apple never intended. Then, it sounds really like it led to you not knowing where your files or files that correspond to which elements of the UI opening. I suggest that you need to nail for yourself - images from Aperture to right click and choose Show in Finder, until you know where everything is.

Otherwise, make sure you have plenty of available disk space, stop asking questions and just see what happens when you run plugin import LR with the options I suggested. It won't damage the opening.

  • What should I do with a library migrated?

I have a file of iPhoto library taking 107 GB of space on my hard drive. The library has already been migrated to Photos, I have to delete it?

Should be allowed to delete because the library stores the Photos in a different location (user > pictures > photo library).

But to be sure, you can move the library on an external drive and then testing to ensure that Photos continues to work with your images. In this way, you have the recorded library until you know Photos will work without it.

    =======================================
Movie Maker has problems with the .mpg files... best bet would be
to convert the .mpg files before importing the .wmv format.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Music - wma, wav, .wmv

    See the following article:

Movie Maker 2 - Import MPEG files
    http://www.Papajohn.org/mm2-importing-video-MPEG2.html

    The following freeware can convert:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Format Factory
    http://www.pcfreetime.com/
    (FWIW... you can uncheck
all the boxes on the last screen)

After downloading and installing Format Factory...
Open the program and choose an output folder...
(this is where you will find your files when they are
    converted)

Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

    Select "At?" / OK...
(the? is the format of your choice)

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

    Good luck...

  • Is it possible to synchronize an existing database with the database CRM from Adobe?

I have a database that is hosted locally customers, and I would like to sync it with the database hosted on Business Catalyst without manually having to import/export a list of customers. Is there currently a way to do this?

    Hello

Look in the API as a possible solution to this...

"This system has a broad framework of the API (application programming interface) that allows you to communicate, synchronize or take action with your own external application." For example if you are an online store and you want to adjust the inventory levels in real time as shoppers buy from you, then you can simply use this API. Other uses of the API include the ability to synchronize your entire customer database on this system with the one on your desktop. The scope of the API will give you indeed freedom to undertake all kinds of specific tasks to the success of your business"

  • I have a MBP end 2011 running yosemite which is dead.  How can I migrate (from Time Machine) on a similar MBP (mid-2012).  I don't mind if I lose data on the MBP of the latter.  Essentially, I want my old MBP to take the newest one.

My MBP end 2011 died.  I want to migrate its content on Time Machine to a bit newer MBP.  Basically the old MBP return to the most recent.  It doesn't matter if the data on the new MBP are lost.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

Yes you can do it. Pondini (here) has a few options to do.

You can also try Migration Wizard. See this article. But I'd go with Pondini, the guru of the Time Machine.
