  In CS4, I can:

  • Open one or more files without going through a window around the image border.
  • A tab on the top of each image that makes it easy to move between images.
  • If there are only two images, they are tiled next vertically by default.
  • Photoshop itself can be of size and restored in accordance with all Windows programs, that is to say dragged/restored to answer.

  In CS5 (experimenting than now), unless I'm being totally stupid, it seems:

  • If I have my Photoshop window, filling a part of my screen, I don't have the possibility to enlarge the IMAGE window to fill the space of"office" gray - so get rid of the window image seriously annoying border. I have to drag the picture window! and then I still have the window border round!
  • The only way to get rid of that border is to maximize the entire window of Photoshop that fills my screen 24 ". There is no possibility to drag/restore the window of Photoshop for my default size.
  • With the help of the window > reorganize > order of tiles tile windows horizontally - no option for vertical tiles.

  In other words, I like to work with an image WITHOUT a border of window around it, and I don't want Photoshop maximized to fill my screen 24 ". I want a vertical mosaic. Is all this as possible? Would appreciate ideas.

  If this is NOT possible, that's all just stupid and boring, Adobe! Why CS5 does not conform to the agreements regular Windows?

  I think going to 64-bit would be more hassle than its worth (including XP). There is no Vista or 7 drivers this is although it can work. Although if your processor is faster than the original, it may be useful to upgrade but stick to 32 bit, XP.
