On Windows XP, I am trying to find the physical address for my Dell Latitude D620, then I can use it to connect to the wireless router.  When I go to start > run > ipconfig/all, a small screen flashes for a second or two, then disappears.  You'd be able to get my physical address from the laptop to the ipconfig/all command screen?  What is the problem and how can I fix?  If not, is there another way to discover the physical address of my computer?

  • Dell Latitude D620 processor update...

Hi all, great forum you have here...

I have an old Dell Latitude D620 and I want to upgrade the processor.  The specifications are the following:

    • Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 (1.66 GHz) CPU
    • 2 GB RAM DDR2-800
    • 60GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSD
    • Windows 7 Professional

Am I correct in thinking that I can go to any processor 667 Mhz FSB?  SO what would be the fastest processor I can get (I think Core 2 Duo 7400 and 7600)?

Looking at the Intel 845 chipset GM compatible products (http://ark.intel.com/products/chipsets/22816) that they do, but I thought I'd better check here first before buying.  Change from 2 MB to 4 MB L2 cache would affect something?

    Thank you very much!

Either people will work - just do not pay too much on the one hand, because the speed boost will be progressive - not dramatic.

  • How to activate Bluetooth adapter Dell Latitude D620?

I tried unsuccessfully for weeks how to activate the Bluetooth adapter (switch on Bluetooth radio) on my Dell Latitude D620.

First the Latitude D620 built in Bluetooth adapter? I did a search on the web, and it seems that it does. Also, I see a Bluetooth symbol just above my keyboard, but it is not lighted. How do I turn it on?

I went to control panel, device-> maps network manager, but I do not see the Bluetooth devices listed there.

I need to install a software? I went on the support.dell.com site and downloaded the Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth internal Module driver installation program. But when I install it, it is trying to install the Vista profile Pack, and it fails because it 'impossible to find compatible bluetooth on your system chip' and 'DFU installation failed with returncode 137 ".

Really hope someone can help me. Thank you.

If still looking for the answer, that I just found out myself...

The BIOS, under the Wireless heading, is where you put the Bluetooth radio on and outside. At least on the Latitude D620 D630.

The big surprise is that you (apparently) can enable it in the BIOS, even if there is NO INSTALLATION of CARD BLUETOOTH!

The cardspace bluetooth is on the far left under the bezel above the keyboard. pop up the extreme right and carefully lift the bezel to see if you have the card installed.

It was an option, not the equipment standard.

GOOGLE CAN NOT HELP CAN YOU?

    Hi Kennsquatt,

You can connect the Smartphone to your Dell Latitude D620 by two ways in wired and wireless.

Connect wirelessly to Bluetooth drivers installed in the computer. Install the Windows updates, including optional updates, also visit the Assembly of the computer and install the drivers for Bluetooth.

  • Burner DVD for Dell Latitude D620

I have a laptop Dell Latitude D620 with a CD RW/DVD-ROM drive.  I need to upgrade the drive to write to DVD-R media.  I spent much of today searching Dell parts and accessories to try to determine what he should order and have found it very confusing.  It seems that there is not a listed player expressly says that it is compatible with a D620.  There are readers who say they are compatible and D600 D610 and then there's a reader who says that it is compatible with a D630, but nothing for a D620.  One of these readers will work in a D620.

  • Dell Latitude 10 + 8.1 Windows Pro + Docking Station = not in position to use the LAN connection?

I have a dell Latitude 10 that I had just upgraded to Windows Pro 8.1, everything seems to work fine except for the LAN on the docking port, I tried all the old and latest versions of the drivers 7500LANUSB out there with no success to get it to work properly.  All the other ports in the station properly.  I also tried with another Dell Latitude 10 w\ Windows 8 and works very well.  Also with another Tablet that has Windows 8.1 with the same result as the first with not able to use the connection to the LAN on the dock.   PLEASE HELP ME!  I have 93 of these devices that we will upgrade to Win 8.1 via WDS, but it can't happen until this is resolved.

I confirmed that a tablet of 10 Latitude running Windows 8.1 is able to connect to a wired LAN docked. I was able to get a valid IP address with the unit that I was testing.

Have a look in Device Manager and make sure that your driver LAN7500 looks like this:

You may completely uninstall and then reinstall the driver of LAN7500 of time management devices and programs and features.

You can download the current version of the LAN7500 here:
    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/product/Latitude-10-Tablet

the name of the file is LAN7500_Win8_A04_Setup - R84GF_ZPE.exe and it will run on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

Please let us know if the problem persists.

  • Bluetooth, Windows 7 and a Dell Latitude D620 problem

    Hello Microsoft,

I scanned the internet, Microsoft KBs, and many of the forums and the SIGs. Nothing worked from suggestions made by MSFT people.

My problem is this: I have a MS Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 that I was not able to match, much less to do with my laptop. Even for a PDA to BT, BT cell and another mouse MS BT.

The laptop is dual-boot with XP Pro SP3 and Win7 32-bit Enterprise.
The mouse is seen and usable under the XP boot. Three other BT devices work well with XP on this laptop. When you try to add the device in Win7, I get nothing. The dialoge Watch window it is looking, but no device appears. I checked that the devices are configured to be open and ready for pairing on the mouse and other devices that I run on XP.

    I tried the things:
-Check the device in the devices, Win7 installation manager, is Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Module, provider of CSR plc, date 06/11/2006 driver, driver version is 1.0.0.370 and signed by Microsoft.
-Check the device in Device Manager, is Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator, provider is Microsoft, 06/21/2006 driver date is, the driver version is 6.1.7600.16385, signed by Microsoft.
-The parameters of the Bluetooth application on the taskbar, there the box "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer" checked in the Options tab.
-L' material tab for the application settings Bluetooth indicates that the device is functioning properly.
-L' devices Control Panel app Bluetooth does not appear in Control Panel.
-J' went to the Microsoft Support site and downloaded and installed the IntelliPoint application without modification.
-J' downloaded and installed (after removing the proevious version) of the module drivers and IntelliPoint app as a normal installation and in compatibility mode for Vista 32 bit.
-J' tried the Module 360 drivers in native mode and compatibility.
-The module drivers came directly from the Dell site.

My network card (with BT) is the Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini Card, Broadcom, driver date 21/08/2009, version of the driver 5.60.18.8, signed by Microsoft.
-Collaboration Bluetooth is set to Auto.

I read in this forum that Win7 RC1 and RC2 version did not have this problem.

What I want is for Microsoft to provide the fix for this problem and not to redirect the question to drivers (who are MS).

All my stuff works in XP.
It also works on Vista Home (mobile friends).

Please provide a fix and take responsibility.

    Thank you

Toshiba BT Stack will fix the problem on your dell D620, I have a D620 with Windows 7 32 bit and could not use (enable) Bluetooth, after I ran this:

I was very happy to have my BT back.
