is my quadro 4000 is dead?

Hello

I am editor-in-Chief of avido working with cc first and then I used the quadro 4000 and the tesla c 2075.

When I turn on my computer I line on the screen (you can see in the picture)

two question:

1 is the quadro is dead?

2. If he died, what should I replace with the new quadro or serias gtx

Thank you

the 960 4 GB gtx must be nearly the same performance as the quadro and Tesla.

If you want more powerful, the gtx 970 is a good card. the gtx 970 will handle 4 k in first draft.

GTX can not produce 10bits display.

    Hello

I want to install a card nvidia quadro 4000 graphic on Hp pavilion m9540ch desktop PC. I opened the desktop chassis and I found that there is no auxiliary 6-pin power connector coming from the power supply. I'll buy this connector 'double 4-pin Molex-8 pin PCI-E adapt' to provide power to Quadro 4000 GPU. Now, I wonder if my power (300 W) can support GPU (80W). My question is, how can I see or know the average power consumption of my Hp pavilion m 9540ch PC? Is there a document which can explain the total power consumption of this PC or there at - it a utility to monitor the total power consumption on windows 7?

Thank you very much in advance for your suggestions and comments.

  • Z820 - button Power LED blinks 4 times (red) with beep... bad card (Quadro 4000) graphics?

    Hello

My Z820 at the office is suddenly having a few hardware malfunction.

When I turn on my machine, the PSU/system fans don't rev and the Power LED button flashes red with a beep 4 times.

According to this page of troubleshooting, this indicates a faulty PSU on the new UEFI computers:

HP desktop - computer does not start and emits a LED or a beep Code

Section "code beep and LED descriptions.

Get the exact model of LED as the example of "power failure".

Then, I got a new power supply replacement. I still have the exact same model LED and beeps...

So, I have drawn deeper and found that when I removed the Quadro 4000 card graphics and then put on my machine, the power button LED is lit in blue (led code ' computer-S0 (normal operation) "") and all the normal spin fans.

The Quadro card seems to be the culprit...

Unfortunately, I have no alternative graphic card laying to verify this around, I'm waiting for a replacement of the graphics card (via HP service) to arrive tomorrow.

Is it possible that the power LED button code (4 times red with beep...) has nothing to do with a bad power supply and that my Quadro is bad?

    Dries

Dry... that Z820 has been giving you headaches.

Many fault codes have not changed since the previous workstatons.  I hit this series of beeps of error in the past, and often doesn't mean that the power supply itself is the cause.  It can be a hardware device to the bottom of the chain causing a power surge to power, triggering his "crowbar circuit: fault protection

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/crowbar _ (circuit)

Here are the instructions to deal with this series of beeps of a previous HP xw technical and repair.  Note the number 2 in the troubleshooting instructions... usually you don't have to go down to 3, in my experience.  I think that you have already found the faulty unit:

    Loss of power.
    1. open the access panel and make sure that the power cable is properly
    connected to the system board.
    2. Locate the faulty device by removing all devices and then reinstalling one at a time
until the workstation fails. Replace the device at the origin of the failure. Continue to add
devices to make sure that everything works correctly.
    3. check the power supply feature.
    a. turn off the AC power.
    b. remove all cables internal power on the system board.
    c. connect the power supply.
    ● If the power supply fan turns and the BIST LED lights, then the
power supply is good. Replace the motherboard.
    ● If the power supply fan does not turn or the BIST LED does not
light up, replace the power supply.

I just migrated to a new Win10 x 64 machine with nVidia Quadro 4000 video card. It's the same model of card I used in my Win7 x 64 machine with good success. I bought these cards specifically for compatibility of Photoshop.

On the new machine, PS crashes at launch, with typical error: "Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 has stopped working".

I tried all the solutions I could find online, including renaming them librarylookupfile, check that I have the latest video drivers, etc.. Nothing did. I'm puzzled. Interestingly, after that the first couple goes down, offered creative cloud suddenly a PS 2015 update, which I installed it. Still no joy.

  • How to install the graphics card Nvidia Quadro 4000 in Dell R710

    Hi all

I read a lot about the installation of the Nvidia Quadro PCIe x 16 card in a Dell R710.  I know what parts I need to order (Dell GP347 PCI-e left Riser), but I don't know how to install the power cable 6 pin required by the Nvidia card.  Where would connect it to the motherboard Dell R710?  Is there a place to connect?  If not, is there some type of power provides I can hang the 6-pin power Cable from Nvidia and power the server?  Any help would be appreciated.

It's a bit old now, but thought I would answer that I had this work and very happy with the performance!

In addition to editing card, that I needed, there is NO way to provide the power that the card must provide without a power SUPPLY.  There is a really small box listed on Newegg called "ePOWER EP - 450CD 450W ATX12V/EPS12V modular juice dedicated to the area of graphics card and CPU of power".  Buy and run the GPU power cable to an empty PCI slot at the back of the Dell server.

I also bought some video cards NVidia Quadro 4000 2 GB GDDR5 PCIe for each of my 5.5 ESXi servers. Also, I left my active integrated video graphics card and it is always primary for my hypervisor.

Download and install the NVidia ESXi drivers on their site and follow the directions to install.  Reset.

I use sVGA with my Horizon offices and downloaded a trial version of Sketch-Up to test the 3D.  They have a community of users who post 3D renderings and you can download it directly from the Sketch-up program.  Cruise around and check the performance.

As a side note, I noticed IE worked worse way by using the GPU when browsing the internet.  Go to settings, advanced in Internet Explorer and has the option at the top of the page "use rendering software instead of GPU".  This change makes IE works as expected.

  • CS6 support for Nvidia Quadro 4000 K

    Hello

Our engineer has updated our old system CS5 CS6 with a new Z820 with a Nvidia Quadro 4000 K.

After trying to activate CUDA seems that CS6 does not support the card.

Is there an update for CS6 for recent GFX cards?

Or does perform a work around that?

    See you soon

    > Is there an update for CS6 for recent GFX cards?

    N °

This card has been added to the list of cards supported for accelerating GPU of the raytraced 3D rendering engine in after effects CC (12.1):

GPU (for CUDA and OpenGL) changes after effects CC (12.1)

You use the traced the beam 3D rendering engine? If this isn't the case, then this is unimportant to you, since it is the only feature in After Effects that uses CUDA.

  • Missing GPU acceleration with graphics NVIDIA Quadro 4000 card

    HI -.

I have a PC running Windows 7 with a NVIDIA Quadro 4000 card and 16 GB of RAM. I have Premiere Pro CS6 v6.0.5 and first Pro CC v7.2.2 (just installed).

When I create a new project in CC, my only option under video rendering and playback is Mercury Playback Engine software only. However, when I open a project in CS6, I get this option and also Mercury Playback Engine GPU accelerated (CUDA).

Any thoughts on why the GPU option would not put at my disposal in CC?

    Ed

Yes. 334,95 is the correct driver. Pilots who are CUDA 5.0 are no longer supported in Premiere Pro.

  • Combination PPro CS6 - NVidia Quadro 4000 - Matrox MXO2 HIM still does not

    Hello world

Six months after the last, I tried the CS6 body work, when it crashed constantly and I decided to uninstall, I tested again yesterday to see if anything has changed when you use the 6.0.3 premiere version, but nothing is.

Meanwhile I work perfectly with PPro CS5, proving that the combination of nVidia, Matrox and first is basically good.

Matrox has even released drivers especially for CS6, and I also updated to the latest nVidia drivers. Unfortunately it seems fairly certain that the nVidia in this system component yet proximate cause crashes when I active the body CS6 MPE.

The error remains the same, like six months ago:

The NVIDIA OpenGL driver detected a problem with the display driver and can not continue.

The application must close. Error code: 3

I noticed that nVidia does still no partner certified drivers for CS6, I think it's completely lame. I guess I have right now the most important question is:

Someone at - it system with Premiere Pro CS6, graphics nVidia Quadro and a Matrox MX02 who managed to make it work? And if so, what kind of drivers were installed for the nVidia card?

I use a system Intel 12 processor cores, 24 GB of RAM-based and as said, a Quadro 4000 2 GB card on board.

I want very ardently to CS6 before 7 fate. Any help is appreciated, a response to the above question would be wonderful superduper.

    Hello Lewiz,

Please confirm that the nvidia card is in the dwelling of pci e x 16.

Confirm the bios is updated as well.

You can also pickup the latest Intel chipset driver.

On the Intel site, there is a search function, you can download and run, which is the best drivers for your particular computer.

  • After Effects CS6 catastrophically freezes Mac Pro / Quadro 4000

From late yesterday, my system crashes catastrophically shortly after I start moving things around in a comp. AE also, Photoshop CS6 did the same thing for my system this morning when I was using the marquee tool. I use CS6 Production Premium for the last 3 weeks or so, with almost zero problems in one of the applications up to yesterday.

When it freezes, a screen goes black (the main, powered by a Quadro 4000) and the other is completely blocked on what he showed up until I hold in the power button and shut it down. I have a feeling that it could have something to do with the card Quadro. I hope this isn't, because I use the engine for raytracing in AE.

I myself joined midi CS6 Production Premium yesterday. I wonder if this could be related, since AE ties into several pieces of third-party softwarelike Mocha AE (that I opened) after registering CS6. I did other software/hardware changes lately.

A new installation of Lion, fate has been incredibly fast and stable so far. I was wondering if it might have to do with the disk cache, because I was doing a ton of rotobrushing, 3D tracking and precomped raytracing leading to it, but it happened now in Photoshop too. (My cache on disk is set up on my fiber RAID)

The crash in AE is not specific to my project, although he started a CS6 project's got very, very complex. I can open it create a new project, up a solid in and start messing around with it and in a minute it blocks the Mac.

Someone saw something like that? I'll try to unplug my Quadro then and see if it happens again.

    Material:

    Mac Pro 4.1 (2009)

    Two screens 24 "Apple LED

NVidia Quadro 4000 (first slot, 1 display)

NVidia GT120 (stock # second slot, 2nd screen, Apple card)

    2 x fiber Apple Xserve RAID-5 (3.5 to each)

24 GB of RAM (6x4Go in slots 1-3 and 5-7, as recommended for MP 4.1)

    Software:

Clean install of 10.7 Lion (I did this 3 weeks in preparation to the CS6), updated through 10.7.4

CS6 Production Premium (with x.0.1 updates)

I don't have Mac upward in front of me right now to list the drivers NVidia and CUDA, but I installed them fresh from the web three weeks ago, and I checked the updates yesterday.

Too bad, all the world. I just had this accident happen outside of Adobe applications. I started in Snow Leopard 10.6.7 (on my other startup disk) and did some work in DVD Studio Pro. Finally he gave me the same accident. While Adobe applications certainly trigger the problem immediately, so it is apparently specific to Adobe.

  • Doesn´t Quadro 4000 (Fermi) perform as it should in first CS5 / SOUL

I just bought a Quadro 4000 and it s taking almost 5 hours to encode content in 2.5 hours on Blu - Ray (H.264 Blu - Ray HQ 1440 X 1080). I have the latest drivers of Performance provided by installed Nvidia and it s like all my 256 CUDA cores are sleeping. Almost all of the load is on the (a Core2Quad Q6600 OC´ed 3.2 Ghz) processor. How I 'activate' GPU CUDA treatment? All my settings first and SOUL seems to be OK (Adobe Mercury Playback Engine GPU is on) and all my software Adobe is up to date. I m is not not able to feel the "smooth edition" and "good encoding" blah blah blah Nvidia and Adobe extends to sell the new Fermi cards... Help!

nVidia talks about READING, not coding. They are animals different, about as comparable as a snake and an eagle.

Coding demo only shows the advantage of cast iron, not coding, then in circumstances not normally are not used. They ask that marketing. You haven't heard that term before? Welcome to the art of marketing, which is another thing that to lie, he is only telling the part you want to emphasize and leaving the rest aside.

It's like the sale of the week: "50% off all our eggs." That sounds good, but they left out the part that the eggs were only soft and edible until December last year. Is it a lie? N ° is it misleading? No, because the date is on the box. It's silly to fall for such a trick? Yes.

    Same thing here.

  • ATI 8800 vs Quadro 4000 / 5000 rendering speed

    Fellow Forum members,

I will build a system to run Premiere Pro at its optimum level.  However, the conflict I meet concerns Quad Monitor Support.  Each CUDA card offered by Nvidia (i.e., GTX 580, Quadro 4000, 5000, 6000) appear to offer only taken supported dual monitor.  The third mini HDMI port is worthless since it does not work with two DVI ports.  Not happy with Nvidia on this decision.

I build a 64-bit Windows 7 system and it is my understanding that if I want to run first Pro CS5 using the Mercury engine to speed up rendering, then the only game in town is a Nvidia Quadro graphics card.  I wouldn't have a problem with that if Nvidia would provide that a video card with Quad Monitor support like ATI did with 8800 card that they sell.

So my question is, "Premiere Pro return at the same speed on an ATI card 8800 vs a Quadro 4000/5000?"  If the answer is Yes, then I'll buy the 8800 ATI since this card supports 4 monitors.  If the answer is that the 8800, ATI is slightly slower with rendering, then I buy always a 8800 ATI since a slight difference in the rendering does not matter that much to me.   However, if the answer is that Premiere Pro on an ATI 8800 serioiusly disabled.  Then, I have a problem, because I really want to support four monitors and Premiere Pro to render quickly.

I hope hear from Premiere Pro users who have used Premiere Pro on platforms equipped with 8800 ATI or Nvidia 4000 or 5000.  Have you noticed any performance change between ATI 8800 and Quadros? Thanks in advance.

    > "Premiere Pro return at the same speed on an ATI card 8800 vs a Quadro 4000/5000?"

Mentioned Nvidia cards offer features of CUDA processing a lot of things one - part of a lot of speed.

People has generally tend to skimp on the PSU, you are. It is one of the components most neglected and difficult to diagnose when mysterious problems, but a block of POWER: 425 W will not cut it. Get at least a 600W unit and it's the bare minimum. with the very overvalued and underspecced Quadro 4000. Go even higher with a price much more affordable and powerful 470.
